#mtg #magicthegathering #mtgarena - Hry
FYI, Im not correcting you when I say this, strategy was still good. I noticed in the second game that you attacked all out with hydra, beastcaller, and tumblewagg. If tumblewagg was saddled with beastcaller instead, the counters on hydra would of doubled turning into an 8/8. The damage output would be the same that turn potentially either keeping tumblewagg with 8 treasures and a follow up hydra or an 8/8 hydra for the following turn. Either way it worked out and there's always different combinations of strategies of doing things.
Fun to watch. This was a great deck
It was fun to play. Lots of situations that looked tough, but was able to work out of. One loss was to no land and the other was to a bad decision, so that's a good sign.
Kodama is a powerhouse
Hydra putting those points in each deck it’s in
He's been punching that time card to get overtime.
This is the correct version of a deck I played last weekend lol
You were just test driving an earlier version. :)
OMG yes, I've been wanting to see you okay some simic
If you like this simic barnyard deck you should give simic cookies a spin
Already played several versions. Will probably play it again at some point. This was more fun.
I think the first guy just had those creatures in there because he was tired of losing to mono-red on turn 3. Just throw down some early creatures so your 7/7s and 8/8s can win later. At least, that's what it looked like.
But those decks compensate with early cheap removal and things like Temporary Lockdown. They already have built in answers. But those work ok too I suppose.
@@PowrDragn Agreed. I was only trying to excuse a series of bad decisions on his part lol.
Speaking of mono-red, can we see an anti-mono-red deck? It was already nasty before the Junction set, now you got that double-prowess plotted Showoff, and I’m just so tired of all my decks losing to it.
@@SnaggleTooth7 Play something with lots of cheap spot removal or even look at the Life Gain deck I played a couple days ago. Both are reasonable options against mono red.
@@SnaggleTooth7 I rank mainly with Golgari Mid. However, I do run 4 Path of Peril and 3 Archfiends. That combo alone kills boros and red about 90% of the time just as a 1-2 punch. I play Dreadknights very aggressively due to not running Cut Down as an early deterrence. Mono-R folds to the Archfiend anyways due to 6 toughness. The Showoff has not helped it in any games of mine since OTJ release. Even going second...ALL THE TIME, I can still beat every boros/r deck on the ladder. I would say winrate is high 90s. If I happen to go first, they can't win, no matter the godhand the shuffler gives them. Domain Ramp is my worst matchup, but possible. Second worst is Esper, mainly due to Wandering Emp. Good Luck.
With hindsight at 36:30 I think you win by attacking with the Cenote instead. Opponent goes to 14, you have a bigger blocker, and next turn you have 3+2(Ozolith activation thanks to land in hand),+4 from man land for 9 damage but opponent's board is empty if they play the same. Still loses to double monstrous or something ridiculous. If the opponent can kill two 3/3s then you likely aren't dying that turn either. Tough call having to choose what to play around for sure.
Sure, but other than direct burn damage, the opponent's hand had to use every card, and the right cards, to win there too. I could've just not attacked at all and possibly won as well the next turn. It's not really a big deal though. Opponent drew well and won. They earned it. I'm good with that.
I wonder how these new cards will work with koma.
Other than just being blue and green cards, I don't think they do anything particularly synergistic with Koma.
I was expecting more blue......
It has what it needs.
