Leakey chose three students at that time later known as the Trimates. Jane with Chimpanzees, Dian Fossey (RIP) with Gorillas and last but by no means least Birute Galdikas with Orangutans (my hero, working with the "tamest" of the chosen primates studied). Together yet individually they physically built and started the primate rehab centers of today from the ground up. All three Trimates found happiness, love, caring and respect from their charges. We should ALL learn from them. We should ALL be so fortunate. 🐒 🦧 🦍 🕊️
That i did not know! Thank you!
Jane came to visit in my city just a few weeks ago. Tickets sold out in no time flat. There is a huge audience for her and her message. I was not fortunate enough to attend, but the fact that women is still travelling around in 2024 is incredible.
This was an awesome documentary.
agreed.
She is a kind and brave woman with naturalistic intelligent. I really love people like her. Thanks Jane Goodall...YOU ARE A BLESS TO US & OUR MOTHERNATURE💚.
I was moved to tears watching.
I just went through half a box of Kleenex.
So was I. It really broke me up when the chimps got Polio, it definitely made the tears come pouring out. I'm in my 60's and remember when Polio was striking people in the 60's. Very painful to see the chimps disabled like they were. Take care friend. ✌️
As a child, I remember reading the National Geographic and tearing up, so it happens again and I'm 68. Jane is my hero. I fell in love with the chimps in my mind way back then and the story stayed with me my whole life.
She is such a legend .
When this came out, I saw it at an indie theater. It was beautiful up on the big screen. I love Jane so so much.
Shes beyond brave !! Shes one with the things around her !! SHES ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND WONDERFUL
Fantastic episode! A big thank you to NatGeo for spotlighting photography through these captivating stories.
This documentary was beautiful and heartwarming! ❤ I have the utmost admiration and respect for Ms. Gooddall and her accomplishments. I absolutely loved seeing the history of Jane's research and life. The video had amazing foottage of the Chimpanzees, really showing their personalities, interpersonal relationships, and group behavior. It gave deeper understanding of the research done here and continuing to this day. Of course, I am a huge fan of National Geographic as well. Thank you for bringing us the life of Jane!! ❤
humanity needs to see more of her now and ever
Very good docmanantry sir thank you national geographic channel 👍 👏
Unprecedented, bold and dedicated. Thank you Jane.
What a very special documentary! Thank you National Geographic! Jane Goodall is without a doubt, one of the most extraordinary and dedicated women!
after a long time i not watch natgeo and i decided to watch again and WOW its amazing :)
I am ,and always have been one of those millions of inspired children!
i am now, without a doubt, as tears flow from my eyes, inspired as an empty nester!!
This was , beyond a doubt , so important for me to see.
I never realized just how old she was when this all started!
God bless Jane Goodall,
all the animals,
and us crazy chimps too!
Incredible, moving and as always, so inspiring!
🐒🌍🌿🐝🍌🌃🔥⚡❄🪐🌨🌞
when i read that line in the doc i absolutely agree with u that i am also 1 of those millions of children who were inspired by her. i thought i was done tearing up but your post lol started it right back up. bless you
Pure magic and deeply touching
Let's hear it for all the other lesser known and unsung heroes of ecology and natural resources management! Jane inspired me in her compassion, and I hope some day I can be a ecologist or zoologist, or some type of biology researcher with a field component! I love the outdoors, and Jane's passion for immersion is truly spectacular. Thanks for her legacy and that of other caring, passionate researchers!
You can join the many ecologist working to restore our world as I did after growing up with Jane as one of my hero’s. .
That was awe inspiring. Thanks Jane for being a trail blazer.
What a gold nugget. Thank you for sharing this. Growing up names like Jane and David sparked the imagination when we were shared programmes of our natural world. I hope that the generations here, well past my time, will get to feel the wonder that is the natural world.
What an adventure for little Grub...beautiful documentary..The chimps love her..the last part where the baby chimp touched her nose.. adorable..
Timelessly inspirational Jane!
Thanks for her dedication.
Thank you for sharing
With jane Goodall.
Humanity at its peak❤
Jane is one of the greatest creatures on this earth that we call human. She lives in harmony with nature and with herself❤🌎 Thank you for your kindness, Jane❤
Her demeanor is amazing
Wow, what a beautiful, inspiring and touching story . Thank you. ❤
when it comes to Earth day, I've been thinking of Jane Goodall's love of animals and the Nature.
scaping from tiktok you see this and fell in love this documentaries
she is inspiration ♥️♥️
The most beautiful human being. Every time I see Dr. Goodall she always calms my soul.
So glad this is on CZcams now ❤
Fabulous film. I was blessed to hear Jane speak in Utah in 2016. The room was packed--and people listened with awe and respect. She is simply superb--a real model for how to live a life that serves the planet and all her beings.
You inspire me so much I wish I could go to Roots and Shoots. (because I'm 12 and have an overwhelming passion for animals/primates) -Naomi w.
This is Utterly Incredible.
She's my inspiration ❤️shes a legend ❤️
If you know the true reason why she went to Africa you wouldn't be inspired
And it had nothing to do with animal conservatories
@jackcaldwell485 It's well documented that she went there at the suggestion of Louis Leaky. So now tell us what you think you know.
Me too!! Me too!
@@jackcaldwell485 it is absolutely hideous that you are saying that. She went to Gombe to study our closest living relatives - chimpanzees. That was the reason why she ventured into those forests, sometimes risking her own life.
I have always love you Jane and I still do.
What further tears up is the much of efforts to save animals' life... but human are destroying each other every day...!!!!
Do we need one of the ancient philosophers to classify what life is it.?
I hope national geographic would also make a documentary about diane fossey a primatologist and conservationists undertaking an extensive study of mountain gorilla in rwanda , her death was tragic but her legacy go on until today
There is also a movie about Diane Fossey that keeps it pretty much to the real story. It's called "Gorilla in the Mist"
Thank you for sharing.
I am thoroughly enjoying this lovely documentary. ❤❤❤❤ I have saved this doc. So I can watch it over and over again..is this weird? 🥺
No
Thanks for the film. It's so beautiful, filled with humanity, compassion, love and respect for nature and animals. Jane Goodall is a shero.
She was my childhood hero, and still is.
This inside look is everything one needs to understand when stepping into the real world, the wild.
This is the kind of human our species needs in charge of saving us and our planet. Cant save 1 without the other.
I love Jane Goodall..she made me love primates..she has given me a great love of animals in general
I love Jane. And now I love her mother too. ❤
Yes!! I never knew what a wonderful support her mother was!! A beautiful woman supporting her amazing daughter!! ❤
@@sarahogren3697 IKR! All these years watching her on the nature shows and I never knew that her mom was right there with her.
This hits hard un so many ways as an animal lover and most of all as a mother to a 5 year old
Outstanding documentary!

I find the commercials excessive and annoying~! The video is wonderful~
I agree. Every 3 minutes and I, of course, will never, ever buy anything advertised in such a way.
Have looked up to her all my life! Was in Africa in the 90s for 2 weeks- pure magic especially the elephants
❤❤❤ Loved and legendary ❤❤❤
Very brave 👏
Music was too loud and gave me anxiety.
Brilliant
Mother nature is backbone of the world
You can die from a broken heart 💔 in the form of grief
Completely support comments.
She is awesome, but Dian F. was a bigger player, totally different, she gave it all, her life too.. God Bless both ladies
What an extrodinary person.
❤❤❤
Beautiful and heartfelt documentary.❤
😢😢❤☝️👍❤️❤️L'homme a détruit une planète entière et nous avons encore le temps de sauver les non-sauvés 😪🤲
Straight up "legend" ❤. What a awesome woman. Beautiful in every way. There comes a time when one realises, one must leave school to further ones education. Academics think they have all the answers because they dont come to realise that their beliefs have been given to them, whether those beliefs are right or wrong. They then have the short sightedness to scoff at others who have actual experience.
I was a child at the time this began. I remember people constanly trying to correct me about animals. They pretty much thought animals were NPC mobs put there by a deity for our use. My own father tried to convince me. But, you see, I could *hear them think.* I still can. I also refused to let people convince me it was my imagination. I cultivated the skill instead. I can't prove it, but I won't disbelieve it.
MASTERPIECE. everything is so perfect, God is indeed good.
I love this woman!
I'm sure you know then, Brother, literature higher looks sounds different then at witnessed level Brother, two or more speak and one witness, vertical parallel horizontal and coverings
Guys does anyone know what camera she's using.
nikon fe2
30:14 that's a "pre Ai" lens (Nikkor Q Auto 135 f3.5 "chrome nose"), so the camera is an F , with its pointy eyepiece/viewfinder (the F2 could also be used with that viewfinder, but that camera had a black plastic piece on the advance lever). At 31:18 you can see it well
.
The FM2 and FE2 appeared in 1982 and 83 respectively (they are for Ai/Ais lenses)
At 1:24:18 a black FE2 appears
❤
😔😢
Beautiful Blond Goddess With Deep Blue Eyes.
my dream ❤🌐
One must ask where the banana's came from!!!
Write it. TBD...
so, these shots ARE real. ?
I don't want to look inside Jane Goodall. Gross.
She was rather pretty in her youth! Nice production here. Earth is under a 6 thousand year curse. In the original creation life ruled. Now, under the curse, death rules. The first created human beings generated the curse by their own self-will and rebellious nature. It came from us, not from the innocent animals.
GOD IS GOOD
ALL THE TIME
LIKE GOD
IS DR. JANE
Next to GOD. ❤
(Gorillas in the Mist, Sigourney💛)
So this is the lady racists use to troll us. Top tier meme though.
I love animals 🌸🌼🌺🥰😻🥹
Did she end up passing away or something?
No, recently it was her 90th birthday!
@@relsof291 wow it’s amazing she was out there for so long; shows great dedication, i would of thought illness would of been challenging but i suppose she wasn’t as isolated if she reintegrated back
Please Hind dubet
I had thought she died
are u thinking of Dian Fosse, maybe? she worked with mountain gorillas. another great woman
