I found this copy of Minecraft for Xbox360 in the GameStop dumpster. The employees scratched the back of the disc trying to make it unplayable. I try to fix that.
i go to gamestop to dumpster dive, i take all the games they throw away them i use the jfj to save them and depending weather the game is good or not i sell it back to them. do this all the time after school!!!
Ya know he could work also. and it isnt "10 cents" that's what your job at mcdonald's pays you. So back to the topic he actually just earned extra cash you COULD BE EARNING if you try it for once. Or you could just get a nice game from the dumpster for yourself.
Likely the scratches are added if the game works up to a certain point and then fails due to damage on a certain area of the disc. Have you played it extensively to see if the defect is noticed in later gameplay? Also, if you are recording and your light box is reflecting in the screen then you need to adjust your viewing angle, light box angle or simply turn it off when trying to record aspects that don't require a light box when recording.
I know Im 2 years late but you shouldn't use it on PS3 discs as they are blue ray, and there isnt really much layering between the disc and the data so if you put it in there itll most likely just scratch the data right off, its really best used for CD/DVD based discs.
@@slipknotmfkrlocust8843 I know. I didn't do it, I don't have the machine for it anyway. Unless if I have like copies of the same game (with the exact same region), then I might do it just for the curiosity.
Bro a question, i have a mario kart double dash for the gamecube. I went to the professional disc repair resurface game store. They cleaned it professionally (disc resurfaced machine) twice, first time highest level and second time on a lower level. There are no scratches at all, the disc looks almost brand new, however, when i play it, it all works, except when you go from one level to the other level. Then i get the message on the screen to turn of the power button of my nintendo, i have the same issue with the wii and the gamecube while playing this game. Please what seems to be the problem? Should i go to let the disc to be repaired professionally again?
Every time I see scratched discs come out of this thing looking brand new gets me closer to wanting to buy one. I have TONS of discs that could use this. Audio CDs, CR ROM discs, I have Madden 07 for the 360 but no 360 system (using disc as wall ornament). Some of my PS2 discs could use this.
Using the sandpaper on the JFJ rounds off the edges of the disc which can make some unreadable, i noticed this especially with original xbox games. You also got to be careful with cleaning the buildup off the sandpaper and disc as it can wreck the inner part too and leave sanding marks that the buffing pads cant remove.
$110! Honestly I thought those cheaper priced ones were crap. That is never seeing one in use. I assume your pretty good at resurfacing with that by now. I'd suggest if you wanted to make easy money on the side, to get a table at a gaming convention and do that all day. $4 per disc or 3/$10. Many people don't like resurfaced games but sometimes it's your only option and you just rescued what was otherwise trash. Good video!
3 discs will take like 15 mins total in the machine but that’s not including putting the disc in and starting the machine. That’s 12 discs an hour maximum so like $40 an hour maximum to do this with one machine getting that many discs to resurface. Maybe it would be worth it? I don’t know
Gamestop cuts the wires of mics and scratches games to make them unusable and unplayable so that people dont look in their dumpsters and try to resell it to them
I gotta do that in my work now because people going in the dumpster to pull out faulty electronics my manager doesnt want to be liable for someone getting injured because they found something in our dumpster. I mean.. I would just keep the shit for myself tbh and try to fix it but I cant because health and safety. Btw dumpster diving is illegal where I'm from but people still do it. Only reason I am on this vid is because I got Animal crossing for the GC in my work for £1 but its scratched to shit and doesn't work.
I like your simple video thanks so much for showing your machine I am also going to try to get one as well thanks so much I have lots of this to resurface that are invaluable
Yea, for gamecube games such as melee, you might need resurfacing spray. Sucks if your melee is broken, I love that game, and it's fucking expensive everywhere.
i live in l small town and my friend was was walking behind a gleaners (and the gleaners im my town usually aren't the most empressive but what he saw a nes with controllers and cords so he took it home and it worked perfectly
For normal ppl but do year dumpster diving and tell me the have "brains" to begin with I found 2 sealed Standees they never even open.....and 3 games with them
I can say whole heartedly that Gamestop as a company wouldn't throw that away. Some dumbass employee might have, but any scratched disc gets defected and the gamestop warehouses resurface the disc. They also fix cracked center rings as long as they're not in the data layer. The employee that threw it away should be fired. Only things Gamestop throws away now are marketing stuff nobody wants, and trash. Games are not part of that. EVER. Unless they dont take the game in on trade and the person trading it in doesn't want it.
Dam now i wish i had one of those disc repair machines so i could try saving, i mean reviving some Playstation 1 games that i have since some of them freeze at certain parts *stares at my Spyro,Legend of dragoon, etc games*
1) we have the same voice. 2) this looks incredible! have you checked if everything works fine? you know, sometimes some data are held in certain scratches. It may load but it might block at a certain point... Cheers!
Their bosses just want them to make it not work, and the employees do it so they don’t get fired. The employees feel bad ruining the games and throwing them away, so they do the least damage required for it to not work.
where can I get one at one of those things that remove scratches from the disc where can I shop at the get it do you could you give me information on that I appreciate it thank you and I like the editorial it's beautiful
+MastaGambit Why not instead of scratching the discs, you work your way up to management and then when it's your shift, you just have all of the games and equipment going out for the night put in a nice box and set inside the dumpster... then when you leave, have a friend or someone pick it up. Do you really think anyone's going to randomly be watching the dumpster cameras, if there even are any around there? Lol. And now you have yourself a nice little black market trade to make some extra money on the side.
I think I just found my new summer job. There may be a few I keep though. Unfortunately this will be coming to an end in around 5 or 6 years when the 9th generation of consoles releases. I've probably got a job until the middle of collage
Yeah caus of these machines theres even better ones ive seen to this is a cheaper one and it still works perfect. Theres places literally taking used games, resurfacing them and selling them as brand new thats how good these things work. This videos no joke. Ive seen the bigger ones take games and make them literally spotless.
for those of you who have an Xbox 360 E console, you might know about the perfect circle scratch on a disc where the disc gets scratched up when its going and the console gets moved so do any of you know how to fix it
>dig out of gamestops dumpster
>run through spin spin fixy thing
>sell it to GameStop as new
lmao i'm glad i'm not the only one who thought that would be hilariously spiteful.
Lonk haha
No sell it somewhere else instead..
Preordered Minecraft Disk Referbrished
Get like 35¢ lol
If i worked at GameStop i would just take the games home LOL
Same bro
sushi dream bro if u listed this game 6 dollars free shipping disc only will sell
Same. I'd take every Playstation and Nintendo Wii and Wii U game they have!
I would totally do that too but they have security cameras so that wouldn't be very smart to steal games lol 😂
"-I already know how to play RuneScape, Jesus Christ.."
8:54
they do that intentionaly to try and make it so if someone does find it, itwont work
That machine is totally worth every penny of it, you're right! Lovely cat by the way..!
i go to gamestop to dumpster dive, i take all the games they throw away them i use the jfj to save them and depending weather the game is good or not i sell it back to them. do this all the time after school!!!
Yea nice job I actually work instead of dumpster diving for 10 cents

+DddskullPlays just saying rather not jump into a trash bag for something as little as a game
Aiden Hoffman What are you scared of? Your not going into a dumpster full of food. Just a dumpster full of video games and stuff!
true most of gamestop trash is nothing but boxes of old promos orempy boxes their might be a cup or two but that dont hurt it xD
"and that's why I refuse to shop there... but I will continue diving through their trash
+Juni That's his point. He wants to save the games from the dumpster there because Gamestop is so wasteful.
Careful about removing too many layers off the disc.
Glenn Holliday it fixes layers...
Noah Wølfex By scraping off damaged layers. That’s what those disc resurfacers do.
"If you don't know how much, I paid eleven...I mean 110 dollars for it."
Holy crap, I thought you were going to say you paid $1100 for that thing...
it feels like that this is gonna play out like a creepypasta, he starts the game, starts a world and creepy shit will happen
nice cat bruh
Thanks :)
+McFloppy were to buy it at
Amazon.
***** lol
+TechnoCF heheheh

That is amazing! I need one of those for my old PS2 games.
Gr8Vidz agreed boo
What an amazing little machine. I might actually buy one just to restore some of my used PS3 game discs.

@@slipknotmfkrlocust8843 Its blu-ray friendly. However you can only use solution pads on it, not sandpaper.
ha, that darn cat is definitely a curious one. nice video as always!
I have to get one of these, it looks like a wise investment to play some of old scratched up GameCube games.
the cat is like ... f*ck this .. wanna watch poooorn
Thanks for the tutorial. This was very useful....I felt a little intimidated to use the machine.

Dam you cleaned that game up great job :)

One of the most satisfying videos I have seen in my fucking life
Where do you find a disc cleaner like that? I've been searching for one of those in years
Probably EBay.
+Lardian I see
I need one for my melee and brawl copy
+Swampert Tube I'm not sure if it will work on GameCube games. Considering how small they are
Yea, for gamecube games such as melee, you might need resurfacing spray. Sucks if your melee is broken, I love that game, and it's fucking expensive everywhere.
I once found Guitar hero 3 legends of rock for PS2 in my friend's neighbour's dumpster.
Thank you for the advice you are really good fixer the other people should see it flow him thanks
i live in l small town and my friend was was walking behind a gleaners (and the gleaners im my town usually aren't the most empressive but what he saw a nes with controllers and cords so he took it home and it worked perfectly
Nicely done!
This is awesome I love this guy
where did you get the thing that fixed the disc
I need one of those disc buffing machines!
that machine is amazing!
I neeeeeeeed one of those machines to fix my Kirby Air Ride disc. Oh and Mario Sunshine
My friend has that machine . I paid him $15 to fix my 5 DVDs . And it looks brand new .
Gamestop needs to get a jfj easy pro so they can stop throwing away games cool vid mcfloppy and good job getting a great deal for that jfj easy pro
+looksalot1 There to cheap to buy a chain and lock for there dumpster you really think there going pay that for CD buffer?
+AtticusMJ For only $110, it kinda seems like a no-brainer as an INVESTMENT.
For normal ppl but do year dumpster diving and tell me the have "brains" to begin with

where did u get the disc cleaner
Its pretty obvious this device works great but can't you get like a power drill for $30 and attach sandpaper on it and pretty much do the same thing?
Where did you get the cleaning machine?
How many time you can repair the disc?
pros - saved a video game. cons - it just had to be Minecraft
lol
Minecraft is not bad, it's geared towards younger children and happens to be a bit more education than COD.
+Theodore no. minecraft is just bad
This is not true. You can say: "I don't like it", i don't like it either. But you can't say: "it is bad". Minecraft is far being bad.
Minecraft is a good game, the only reason people hate it NOW is because it became mainstream.
Very nice. Much better on how it was before. Gamestop needs to take better care of their games. Even if they throw them away in the dumpster.
Where are you get this cleaner from
What's the resurface called again? Or a link?
Nice job keep doing what you`re doing
I can say whole heartedly that Gamestop as a company wouldn't throw that away. Some dumbass employee might have, but any scratched disc gets defected and the gamestop warehouses resurface the disc. ELK_X_MIA Yeah, this thing saved a much of my old ps1 games that I had when I was a kid.
Where did you get that machine
1) we have the same voice.
2) this looks incredible! have you checked if everything works fine? you know, sometimes some data are held in certain scratches. It may load but it might block at a certain point...

You need to test xbox 360 games by installing it to hard drive, just because a game loads and works doesn't mean the full disc is functional
Nice video. I have a black ps1 disk will resurfacing work on a black disk?
How mutch does the jfj easy pro cost? And where can i buy it?
TheSkull Games amazon for $110
Does this work well on deep scratches or 'craters'? Like basically do the solutions you put on the buffers actually fill in scratches?
DayTrooperGW It works very well. It doesn't fill it in, they just buff the scratches out.
Mrfloppy what places can you take your game to get resurfaced please ?
Video stores and also game stores usually repair discs.
+McFloppy for how much?
For a few dollars each game.
''Thank you guys for watching i'm so excited that this actually worked. Here is my cat. I've kinda figured this would work.''
I dont have a machine like that but I wish I really loved that machine
I love how you just keep assuming that they damaged the game when you have no proof
I'm glad you got it to work sir!
How long have you had that thing?
that repertoire thing cool were did you get that from
just curious, why would gamestop just scratch the disc? snapping it in half would make it completely unplayable
Psi34ax so dumpster divers dont resell them to gamestop
Jelly- Did you even read the full comment...
Because most game stop workers are weak and don't have the intelligence or strength to snap a disc in two. Lol
Their bosses just want them to make it not work, and the employees do it so they don’t get fired. The employees feel bad ruining the games and throwing them away, so they do the least damage required for it to not work.
wow that's insane i want one so bad now
A little bit of love. Or a couple seconds of editing to swap out the scratched disk
What most people don’t realize is that they should cut the top label surface which renders the disc useless which is why people get free games lol
Field destroying.. A term that Gamestop uses when throwing stuff. They scratch CDs. Cut wires from mics. Lucky for us. We Have this machine:D
The Comment Sectioner As for the mics, basic soldering skills can save them.
Are you talking about the mics in headsets?
if i had that i would be able to fix twisted metal 4 for ps1 :( my fav game
Why do you assume gamestop scratched the disc? Could just as likely be a return from someone who bought the warranty when purchasing the game.
where did you buy it ???
where can I get one at one of those things that remove scratches from the disc where can I shop at the get it do you could you give me information on that I appreciate it thank you and I like the editorial it's beautiful
Edward Bryant It is called "JFJ Easy Pro" you can get one on Amazon.
Does that disc repair work on Wii game disc?
How how do you get rid of Xbox 360 scratches and disc without using that machine
If I were an gamestop employee and I was dumping discs, I would just break them in half if I wanted to make them unplayable? o_O
+MastaGambit if i was there and they tryna get me to break disc im takin them bitches home
GamingCountz
Well true if it's a game i'd been interested in i'd most definitely hold onto it.

Hey does it work on GameCube games?
Yes but you need to look for the parts separately.
That is really cool
where can I get that repairing thingy

ok... did you used 3 pads 2 minutes each one???
Do you had to make it perfit
"I already know how to play Runescape, Jesus Christ."
Lol why did he say that?
do you still do thiis ?
Does the jfj easy pro work on DVDs too
Lousy Wizard yes
cool mate like the cat i all so have this machine the best thing ever

Where can you get THE machine
No Matter what I try, all my discs come out with a circular swirl. Any help would be good.
I got a copy of Pokémon Colosseum for $1. It was broken but I paid $1 to get it resurfaced and it works now.
That's probably not even true because that would be a total steal.
I need this for my need for speed underground
