NSQFthe National Skills Qualifications Framework - is the bridge between skills acquired and the demand for skills in the workplace. It categorizes qualifications based on knowledge, skills, and aptitude regardless of how it has been acquired- formally or informally. There are 10 levels of gradation in NSQF. It covers various sectors like, media and entertainment, logistics, textile, tourism and hospitality, retail, healthcare, etc. Through NSQF and your grades, employers can employ you in the most appropriate position. It also enables you to get back and upgrade your skills and level.
This is most useful in India which has a large workforce that can meet the growing demands of the employment sector. NSQF brings about parity between general education and vocational education. This enables students to be on the same platform irrespective of where they have acquired their skills from.
