PEDs or not, I'm pretty sure every professional athlete is on it in some kind of form, it is fucking crazy that this man still plays the way he does at nearly 38, in his 20th season and with an incredible amount of mileage on his body. He literally breaks everything when it comes to our concept of aging in sports. Yes he is slower and less athletic than in the past and yes there will be a point where he inevitably breaks down, but to be still more athletic than most of the league at nearly 40 is unbelievable.
I don't care if he is the GOAT or not, if his team does good or not. He has nothing left to prove and I'm just gonna enjoy the final years of one of THE most dramatic and entertaining careers in sports history.
No story in sports holds my attention more than his (besides Messi and Ronaldo maybe) and that is ultimately the allure of LeBron James in my opinion.
Designer drugs for sure. The type of PEDs that are untraceable and somewhat "safe" for the user. I don't really care that much because I also believe every athlete including Ronaldo, Brady, Serena, or MJ used it at some point.
At the end of the day, we just wanna see the final product on the court that can entertain and leave us in awe of their performance. It's not like you use it and become instantly better, sheer dedication to the game and hard work also matters more.
