Assurances given by God in Bhagavad Gita - Day 01/07 by Sw. Aparajitananda, Chinmaya Mission Chicago - Yamunotri.

Assurances of the Lord! On whose promise can you rely other than the promise of the Almighty Himself? This assurance of the Lord is decoded by Swamiji for all of us. He has selected 10 verses from the Gita to unfold the secret of getting everything from the Lord with just one condition: surrender your ego!
The natural questions any devotee will have:
1. Why is Bhagavan putting this condition?
2. Why cannot he bless us without condition?
3. Why is He insisting on the condition?
While answering our questions, Swamiji gives us many examples from our day-to-day life where a person can be uplifted, saved, or helped only if the person is willing to be uplifted, saved, or helped.
After convincing us why surrendering the ego is essential, he gives us insights into the following topics:
• What role does ego play in our life?
• What is the root cause of our sufferings?
• What is the most inauspicious thing in our life? And why is it the most inauspicious?
• What is the most auspicious thing that can happen to the devotee?
• What is the greatest tapas?
• How were our ancestors able to achieve so many great things without modern technological equipment?
• How was Ayurveda developed?
• Why is our culture designed to bow down?
While expounding on the above topics, he tells us many stories from the Puranas and also from recent history.
The most important message Swamiji gives at the end of the lecture is: God functions through us. The more you connect to Him, the more you become His instrument and live a joyful and happy life. When you disconnect from Him and live a life of ego, you experience tensions, worries, anxiety, and frustration.

How ,"Ego" is challenged by surrender, to experience Divinity.
Our heart has,only one single seated throne.
Invite God !
Will come, only when we bow down n Ego is thrown.
Ego,is the root cause of all sufferings,one must remember.
To receive God's blessings,with humility ,"Totally surrender"!
When ego is out,knowledge guidance n strength pours in.
Purify, be an instrument of God n be free from all sin.
"My devotee shall never parish" n Lord will remove all imperfection.
He will pull us out of maya assures Lord, to attain liberation !!!
