  • Our first run of the 2.1 spec Range Rover kit that we built.
    To be honest, I wasn't really expecting much from this. With Class 1 tyres and everything else stock, I thought it might be more of a shelf queen than a rock crawler. However, I was intrigued after reading on the Carisma website that the Range Rover had won the UK Nationals in 2021.
    So off to the rocks we went.
    I started off worrying about rolling the new body and looking at attractive routes thinking 'No chance' but I very quickly realised that this is a very, very capable little rig. I started pushing it more and more and could hardly find anything that it couldn't do.
    The whole experience left me with such a big smile on my face and a need to drive it more.

    This Range Rover looks sweet on its off-road track there. Awesome spot and video 👌🤠

      Thanks, Mike. So far, it seems like an amazing crawler. And that is one of my favourite places to drive. So much to offer. It'd be a great place for a competition.

      Thanks a lot. It's rare that you get a rig you love driving as much as you love the look.

      I'd say it's mainly the lighter car and smoother transmission that's better suited to a 1060 ESC. Much easier to modulate the throttle. I'm going to try a different ESC on the Rescuer.
      The filming has certainly improved too.
      Thanks, though.

    Very nice, do you know if the Rover body will fit on coyote chassis? I'd like to change over.

    • @rcpie
      @rcpie  Před rokem

      Yes, it's the same wheelbase and you should get all the mounting parts in the body kit as long as you want to mount with body pins in the standard way.

      Hi Kev.
      I'm an emmet although I kind of feel half-local. We've had a place on the edge of Chutchtown for nearly 30 years and were regulars before that.
      It's such a good spot for crawling. So many lines!
      You're so lucky to have so many amazing places on your doorstep.
      You'll recognise others in my videos too.
