This motivated me to keep trying to learn Japanese.
My mom is Japanese and while I know a bit of Japanese and my mom knows a bit of English, neither of us know enough to actually have a fully fluent conversation without one of us simply going "Mhm." through the entirety and that's it.
I want to joke, laugh, and respond to my mom in full sentences just like in this video.

I absolutely love this. When she said "you're my favorite middle child" that made me lol because I tell my kids they are each my favorite - favorite oldest son, favorite youngest son, favorite daughter. We also drink tea most every night before bed and fall right to sleep, so we love that similarity as well. Meeting you (CDawg) was a highlight of 2019 (Animanga in Pomona, CA).
