Nice work! Now you have not only a mini skid steer, but you also have a mobile hydraulic power pack, if you add yourself a set of quick connects, you can then make or hire attachments for other jobs. Ps, a lifting jib would be very handy for unloading from the pickup truck.
Thanks for the tips!
This is the coolest thing I have seen in a bit
That's very kind, thanks.
Nice job, I was impressed with the build.
Thanks! your comment make it all worth it.
You have done a great job with this. Looks fantastic.
thanks.
You have done a really nice job it's a very interesting project
Appreciated!
Good job sir!! I too will be building my first diy mini earth mover/skid steer/ portable mini shop crane!! Im just now acquiring some uesd farm equipment, and a large used golf course riding mower by toro, its huge! The 3 cylinder Kubota diesel is all its missing but has 12 hydrolic cylinders, a mile of hydraulic lines, distribution blocks, multiple spool levers ect,ect i cant wait to start!! But awesome job and you totally threw some coal in the fire for me to get mine done!!
IMPRESSIVE!!! I love that you showed them that it can be done. Mainly for yourself! Looking forward to seeing the grappler!
Thank you! Comment like your makes it worthwhile. :)
@@devildestiny555 You’re welcome! How much did the build cost total?
@@TerrellWillams Haven't precisely calculate it yet... But estimate around 2k with no battery. 4x battery is another 1k. Consider I'm still 20k away from a Toro dingo... I called that's good. :D
@@devildestiny555 That’s funny! I was thinking the same thing!
That's badass! Thank you for taking us on your journey.
Thank you, your comment make it all worth it. :)
You do amazing work I work on bobcats offen day dreamed of making a electric conversion for one
Wouldn't be hard nowadays, just find a decent electric car and salavged all the parts and battery. :)
Bravo ! Great job !
Thanks
Incredible build!! You did so much wok and it looks so awesome. Not only that it is so usable. even with the bigger bucket. am so impressed as are so many off my friends.
Thank you!
Where did you source the ev battery from?
That was a fun build. Very cool.
Really sharp build. Top Notch work!
Thank you.
Fantastic project well planned and build, what size hydraulic pump and drive motors did you use? Thank you for sharing your project with us.
Unfortunately I could not find any specs on the pump, but from my bucket test, it can do 8gpm at 16volts to motor and that's where I like the noise to be, very quite. The drive motor are Danfoss 9cubic 16gpm/2800lbs/in of torque. I will make a new video with details on the components.
This is awesome, I need to put one together for my ranch this is my kind of hackery
Go for it man, it's a life saver for me... wish I would had done it years ago. Could have saved a lot of trip to the Chiropractor. lol.
I love your machine, I have a similar machine I bought from a back-yard engineer but mine is built on a zero-turn mower type of design and is gas powered, I am debating either converting mine to Electric or just starting from scratch to build one like yours and re-use all my hydraulic gear.
If your current machine can do all you wanted and you just want to convert it to electric, then go for it. But if you want more power or heavier duty, might as well start from scratch and sell the one you currently have. Good luck!
Genius, fantastic work, even a quick hitch.👍
Thanks.
Fantastic build!
Always great content thanks for showing who we are listening to 👍
Thanks for listening
Well done it looks really good.
you may wanna add some mudguards for the chain drive...
Please watch the next video.
This is so cool man I’ve been wanting to build something like this for a while this will be very helpful for me
:) Hopefully the next video will be about mistakes and design issue and details explanation can help other. Thanks for watching.
Wow! Great build!
would love to see a in depth on the wiring hook up
Maybe I will when I have extra time. Not much interest it seem, my video rarely get any view.
I’d love to learn more about it. I’d buy it myself if you’re selling.
I have question about elektromotor power setting: would it be possible to make this 'automatic'? So perhaps on target pressure, if it drops it increases power, else it decreases. Love this design, but was thinking that this fixed % power setting could be made automatic.
Maybe, you can probably put a governor on it, but I just don't think it's that important. As I haven't seen it bog down that much because it has so much torque. Unlike the gasoline engine.
is amazing how much if you sell is nice for home back yards
Very awesome build
Thanks
@@devildestiny555 The pleasure is all mine. You put in a lot of work and that is inspiring.
That's the niftiest build I've ever seen.
Thanks.
this is super awesome! how did you decide on the size of the structural members like the thickness of steel ?
Didn't... used what I had and bought scrap and remnants steel... even that has went up 100% in price. However being cheap did cost me more time and labor, as I have to redo many spots. I will make a in dept video soon. Thanks for watching 👀.
awesome well done...and its quiet.
Yes very quite. Thank you.
What are the cost for you to build the machine?
czcams.com/video/p7HJO2S5LRM/video.html
You got wood!
This is too cool. What percentage of the cost is the batteries/battery monitor?
Please watch the cost video, I have everything broken down on a list.
Nice!
How do you plan on tightening the chain tension as it loosens over time?
By adjusting the motor up.
Pretty awesome. I’m interested in the total cost of this. 🤔
Here's the video I did that broke down the cost. czcams.com/video/p7HJO2S5LRM/video.html
Nice job, man.
Thank you.
Awesome
Top
GooD!👍
Nice
Could you tell me more details about batery and motor?
12cells lithium ion battery from Honda Clarity. As for motor and pump, unknown, came out of a Crown forklift... motor says 36V and pump has no spec.
Any idea how much it weighs?
850-1000lbs.
Awesome! Subd
What are the specs on the wheel motors
9.4 cu in Danfoss 155160A1312AAAAA Hydraulic Motor
Hii
Can you send me details of pump and motor...
Sorry, pump and motor were salvage at a junk yard... therefor no info... only know the motor is rated for 36V.
I want to convert my Ditch Witch SK500 to electric
Go for it, I can say electric make so much more sense for these mini machine. The quietness, the reliability, the cost to run it. Mine never bog down under load like the fuel one.
Awesome build! I need one of these to help with chores around the house. Would you sell me one?? How much?
I'm not sure if its worth it for me to make these to sell, it takes a lot of work. You can buy them commercial machine, they run 25-35k for a new one and 15k or so for used one. I wouldn't think anyone would spend 10-15k for my machine since it's a diy and hasn't been fully tested or warranty.
@@devildestiny555 Good thinking. I can't seen to find any mini skids that are electric. I really don't want to hassle of dealing with maintenance on a diesel/gas engine. Do you know of any brands that sell a nice mini electric skid?
@@richardzhang1447 commercial construction company just starting to get into electric.. Toro make a Toro E Dingo, but they don't even have the price advertised... make me think that it got to be way more expensive than their fuel version. There's a couple more brand from Australia you can find. I certainly can make more and better version of mine. But I am not sure if anyone will buy mine at 15k? Would you? Because if less than 10k then it won't be worth it for me because of small production.
@@devildestiny555 Yeah I think theyre going to try and charge more for electric vs fuel. It's a shame really. I think it's worth 10-12k to me. I also dont need a ton of battery life, that helps cut down the cost dramatically. I think 2 hours of operating time between charges would be more than enough for me
Lot of people marketing electric equipment. Not very many will actually sell you something today
Would you sell?
If you're in Arizona, yes... otherwise cost too much to ship.
How much💵?
Please check out the cost video under my channel.
Can you build me a machine?
I can, but most people expect this to be cheap and it's not. The commercial fuel machine are 20-30k new, the EV version are 30-40k. But people are expecting me to build this machine and sell it to them for 5k... yeah right... with material cost rising... the materials alone is already more than 5k.
