Great video! It’s crazy how many other welders out there don’t take the time to learn how to properly read a blueprint and just end up putting in low bids to get the job then abandon it halfway through because it’s costing them money from not properly understanding the print!

Nobody is covering this kind of welding information on CZcams. I really appreciate it thank you.

I must ask why you didn't reweld those angles back in the way the print directed each contractor to do. the previous contractor contractor completely ignored the fact that the print is calling for the angle iron supports to be cut flush with the top plate and then welded with an 1/8" weld bead . The previous contractor surely didn't pay attention to detail and paying attention to those details helps you become a repeat contractor for other projects. Other than that the angles were supposed to be facing inwards, not outward away from one another. The angle iron on the back side of the print is indicating a that the leg of the angle iron support is to be facing to the left and the leg of the right angle iron on the front side of the print is to be facing to the right. Not inward towards each other. You should explain that a double line with notches in one line or dotted line indicates the backside of the image as if you are looking through it from the backside and the direction of installation. Other than that you did a better job.
