Xaku’s Kagura skin is moreso reference to Kintsugi which is the Japanese pottery tradition of mending it with gold. But Kalymnos being Greek for pottery could also be an intended reference.

At the end void Entrati says xata. Considering xata is the beginning when looking at the Entrati lore logs on deimos, and the fact he said we were late leads me to think 1999 may be another time loop scenario like on duviri. You were late so your going back to the beginning until you get it right.

The soundtrack is filled with the requiem words. They are meaningless at this point. Its not another loop. This is likely an alternate reality closer to ours where the orokin never existed. Its clearly just a subway from our universe. The technocyte virus turns people into CRT monsters instead of the infested we are used to. Its the past of another reality. Not another loop. How lazy would that be? Lol.

The Eternal Clock is pointing at Lohk. Void. Basically the Eternal Clock's 12:00.
When Albrecht says "You are late." I don't think he's speaking explicitly to Arthur. We seem to have used the Vessel to overlap with Arthur. Knowing that a warframe like Excalibur Umbra can exist, who is sapient and driven any time we're not currently Transference'd into him, this may lay the groundwork for us to inhabit Arthur as a guiding force, to experience his experiences as if we were him without completely suppressing him. And I think that Albrecht knows this somehow, given he planned for the existence of Operators, whether through the influence of the Void or through understanding of the Void, I know not which, but it's not Arthur that's late. It's us. We're too late to save Arthur, and this world.
So. I have to wonder. Maybe upon returning to our time/reality, if there might be some kind of reset. The potential to do all this when the Eternal Clock is pointing at a different Voidword. Earlier, in the middle, later, at the beginning, that sort of thing. Eight frames of time to go through to get it right. Perhaps this is why the Eternal Clock collapsed and condensed into a pure ball of void before dropping into the vortex behind Loid: It was taking in the current phase (Lohk) and attuning the Vessels beneath the Necralisk to that frame of time, so that when we Transfer into them, we overlap with Arthur (or perhaps other characters with other Warframe Suits) at different critical moments.

I dont think that whatever we find in 1999 is the infestation. It looks like the weird orokin roots that we find on the last mission of rasing tide when we retrieve the key for the relicary. we find something similar on Chains of Harrow quest. I thought they were just some infested roots like those on the orokin derrelicts, but I just rewatched some videos about that and I noticed that they look different. The only places where i found something like that is in the Red Veil room on relays, the Harrow Quest (just in the boss arena, you can see that the "evil void" roots have a different texture and lights than the ones in the rest of the derrelict) and on the relicary room at the end of the Raising tide (its on Lua and we dont see anything like the infested, only those weird roots around the relicary key) You can also find a weir eye icon on the CRT screens on the 1999 trailer, it looks similar to some of the wallpaintings on the Zariman Ship. thats why i think the TVs aint infested, they are corrupted by the void, they may be the conceptual embodyment of the fear of the 2000 effects, seeing that all the events on the trailer happen right on New years Eve.

    • @orionsgear
      @orionsgear  Před 9 měsíci +11

That's a fantastic take. I would have never made the connections between the textures of the Red Veil/ Chains of Harrow room and the Infested. Likewise with the eye found on the CRT screens. I am very happy that I've attracted the interest of those who have a vested interest in the smaller details.
I also like the interpretation of "The void may be the conceptual embodiment of the Turn of the Century".

The Albrecht we see at the end of 1999 is the other one who escaped, probably altering different realities to achieve something we don't know.
AOI calls him Dr.Entrati and it looks like they know him really well like he knows what's going on and he's famous, probably in that reality he made our civilization more advanced with his "discoveries", like an alien coming on earth giving us all the quantum physics knowledge in a day.
In the game all characters metaphorically always call us "dreamers", we transfer our consciousness to another body achieving a spiritual connection with the other soul. Probably the vessels are bodies capable of dreaming in body of different realities that are connected to the void.

    4 things:
    1. Both excal and mag in this video are most likely proto excal and proto mag (the first ones of their kind).
    2. infested mixing with the computers could probably be a some kind of early iteration of techno virus and probably something that orokin experimented with to infect soldiers and turn them into warframes later on.
    3. Albert Entrati that we see in here is most likely a void copy of him. As we know from the lore he saw this copy of himself and run away from the void out of fear. Later he stopped drinking kuva which was used to prolong orokin life as he wasnt sure whether void had possesed him and as we saw in the video finally hed shut sealed himself in that stasis capsule in hopes that someone could save him from the whole void ordeal.
Also to further enforce this theory we can use the sight of void and massive man in the wall like beings with energy flowing out of their mouths. This once again seems like an image from what Albert described in the lore as he said that: after going through void portal he ended up in a place that looked like his lab but after turning aroud he realized that the whole lab was again a void compy and the room itself was broken apart and drifted in a void like dimension.
    4. The big grey clay humanoid. Theres a theory in the community that the whole new mission and battle with Arthur and Aoi might actually be happening inside this beings mind after we use tranference.

Tuvul summoned Murmur enemies to attack Voruna, but he used The Grimoire. The same one that we will have access to...
This single lore snippet leads me to believe that Albrecht has been dabbling with Void energy, and its ability to corrupt, as well as using it as an animating and mutating force. Maybe "Void Entrati" is a consequence of his hubris for opening the Wall of Lohk. Thanks for pointing that out

I think it's worth to remember that Infestation can affect Moas or some other Corpus machines so it is possible that the early Infestation string could affect and mutate old technology like a computer-biological mixture of an ultimate Virus!
Also my Hot Take of possible explanations is that after Albrecht made contact with the Man in The Wall he let him affect other Entratis from different Timelines that were geniouses aswell, like Wally did with the Tenno and Drifter, although we know that Void affects adults only and doesn't give them powers that Tenno got, he might have recieved some knowledge of usages of void energy for exchange of letting the void into our universe/out of the void because he was promised to make impossible things with its help.
It is possible that Entrati has secretly devoted his later life to helping world or different timelines and saving them from the Void, which would explain that our Albrecht asked Loid to finish his life before he would become evil and why the other Entrati said it was too late just before he turned into a void Thrall. That would also explain why our Loid mentioned that Tenno continues Albrecht's unfinished struggle. Maybe we actually saw and participated into the story of how Proto-Warframe saved Albrecht from becoming a Thrall or perhaps - even a void angel from the amount of Void energy around him and him getting stuck in the void for some time.
Idk if that makes sense but perhaps this is how the Constructs or even Cephalons were made byt Entrati or Loid so that people would remain human without risking consequences of becoming void thralls Maybe that's one of the reasons why Entrati was interested in Orokins Immortality. It could also be possible that Albrecht was trying to understand the fenomenon of Void calling to adults and prevent it or that he just wanted to create some kind of Super Force from agents/powerful people he knew or specifically prevent them from becoming thralls, thus making first Proto Warframes and explaining why they are all adult-like characters and not kids.
A long controvercial bunch of thoughts but EITHER WAY, these are gonna be sick 2 years for Warframe lore and i just can't wait! Lots of love! And congrats on a great video! ❤

The theory I'm holding on to for now is that Albrecht was the one that caused Earth to become Infested, as mentioned by Ballas in the Saryn Prime trailer, and 1999 is the story of how that happened and why. What makes me say that? Some of the graffiti definitely looks like Ostron script minus the calligraphy. Albrecht seems fully unconcerned by the presence of technocyte creatures and "Tenno" are hunting him as if he were a terrorist.
Despite being titled 1999 I get the impression at this point in the timeline the Orokin exist (possibly having made their own calendar), humanity are spacefaring, and the colonies exist. I also noticed while watching your video that the yellow ad on the large terminal display for the TVs that the infested are made of has what almost looks like Corpus script in the bottom right corner, but it's hard to tell with the black lines. Corpus in our time enjoy the retro-futuristic 80s/90s aesthetic too.
I have to wonder if Albrecht pulled something similar to the Naga Drum Ceremony: An act of monumental betrayal then, like the Tenno, he put himself into a stasis sleep to forget what he had done.

I can add something to your comments: 1. when the man in the wall appears as tenno, on the walls there are some graffiti stuff depicting a missing evil finger of some sort. 2. when Loid says "A trap...? " right after the train appears I believe it's lag or a bug and that line was supposed to be right after the "fragmented one" boss is defeated. 3. The Sleeper is Loid the original (necraloid even asks him : "did you have a good sleep?" ) and the vessels are the giant robots. 4. Albrecht seems to have the same eyes as the man in the wall and this kept me thinking... why? now.. hear me out. What if the man in the wall the we know is just a fragment (a finger) of the version of master entrati that never managed to get out of the void and went crazy? in the void when you are physically split, a part of your personality also is separated. Look at lotus, she was "fragmented" and you had to give her some sort of void crystals to recover, and with each crystal her sanity was better and better, also her severed hand attached to the drifter in the void. So.... maybe the original master entrati is a good guy that wants to stop everything, and the key moment that needs to be stopped is him trying to access the void.

It definitely could be said that since we've been imbued with Void Powers, we are the spawn of the Man in the Wall, and making a deal with Rell (who I think is the void born physical manifestation of the Jungian Shadow) would make sense. To then fuel emotional conflict, the Murmur are trying to destroy the Tenno as they are hostile. Then Albrecht would pose as a "Father / Authoritative" position based on how he speaks to Arthur, almost as if he is scolding a child.
Thrax and by extension, Duviri is the physical / voidborn manifestation of the emotional trauma of the Zariman Ten-Zero incident since the Tenno read a book about it while on board.
Rell was part of the Zariman Ten-Zero incident, but since DE has confirmed he has Autism, that leads me to believe he is more "in touch" or "is more influenced" with his "Jungian Shadow", and therefore was influenced by Wally in a more extreme sense.
