I heard this in my future husband's anime OP and Ed anime CDs, circa 2000. I'd watched a little Patlabor, sort of absently a while before it. The sounds were already a little nostalgic to our ears, it sounded a bit older even at that point. I didn't know how nostalgic it would become. I can't let go of those CDs, these are the soundtracks of my youth! I'm sure many across the planet feel similarly.
I remember that and having to wait an hour for 10 minutes of stuff, in addition to if you were doing it on 98 and it would BSOD 2 hours in. XP fixed that thankfully.
Goddamn I love this franchise. Great music, great concept, beautiful designs, wonderful characters; it's just so much fun. Both films are fuckin near perfect (but I mean they're done by Oshii so there's no way they wouldn't be good)

I was just looking for this song. I remember this was one of the first Anime shows I was gaga about. I love the drums and keys on this song, really well done.
