In this video, I play Penny Challenges 6 to 10 from the Plants vs. Zombies Reflourished mod. These are long levels and some of the hardest in the entire mod!

You were actually pretty dead-on about Winter Melon in The Prophesied Drought-about 72% of winners had it in their decks. The other chilling plants like Cold Snapdragon, Iceweed, and even Iceberg Lettuce also saw some usage. A few people also used Lotus Root to extinguish flames, and Hypno-shroom and Ghost Pepper were fairly common options for clearing graves.

for reference, impgantuars have 2100 health, enough to tank a squash (1800 damage) + a balloon (300 damage), and will throw their gargimp when dropped to 1050 hp

For this week's challenge (the BWB one) I used Winter M.+S. Violet+Chard G.:
- Winter cancels torches and deals with the big zombie density.
- Violet negates surfboards & thrown imps, helps with (seeing behind) Gargs too.
- Chard helps with dealing with low tides
In addition:
- Puffshroom for early game and Garg stall.
- Cherry Bomb because Cherry Bomb
- Twin Sunflower + Shine Vine or sun, SV also protects W. Melons from imps.
I love Reflourished so much, but sometimes they make so many questionable decisions and it's hard to suggest to them because they'll reason out to you as to how it was the correct decision to make for the game (I'm in the discord group)
the Prophesied Drought is very obviously asking you to use winter melon, but I’m an idiot and spammed so many boingsettas because my only attacker was apple mortar, and it worked surprisingly really well

I have a feeling this mod absolutely hates stuns, cause between apple mortar chain stuns and puffball stuns, its pretty clear they just want the cc to be an after thought, and thats stupid as hell

I really liked the first level because it was interesting to see some variety with the set of plants and I enjoyed to see it. The last level just reminded me the grave necromancies in ancient egypt expansion. Great video anyways as usual.
For the last challenge the tip they provided was for you to use winter also you can easily beat it with only winter as your main dps

Honestly, the prophesied drought was too easy for me, but last week's challenge was hell, because the massive gargantuar spam made things complicated for me.

I recomend u use pyre vine + dazey chain too, its kinda strong combo and pyre-vine not weak as you think before lol

The Prophesied Drought was the first Penny's Challenge I completed, and I used winter melon + coconut, with Ice Bloom as well. Ice Bloom rules in Penny's Challenges...
I just remember that i use cauliflower, hocus crocus, hypno shroom and witch hazel on jurrasic marsh level :)
Edit: 59:51 and here i thought you sir pick Fanilla to counter the Sandstorm. Also in that Egypt level aside from Winter Melon: Boingsetta, Thyme Warp, Ice Bloom. I bring them all for the Necromancy :)

For The Prophesied Drought, I used Winter Melon, Ice Bloom and Boingsetta.
Also, I think it's very similar to the Ancient Egypt Survival Endless, so... I used the same strat as I have used in it
That first level gave me eclise S-20 flashbacks...
Yes it Eclise Reference S-20 But it Insane and Harder than Original version Has 5 Flag and Add more Zombie it Zcorp Chair Racer Zombie,Mecha football Zombie and Tuskhead Zombie and Other zombie has Original from S-20 come to fight Frostbite cave Bucket head Zombie Bull Zombie Punk Zombie and Metal hair Gargantuar.
A Simple way of me to beat the prophesied drought, just bring boingsetta, and winter melon + piercing plant ( I used Ultomato for some reason and surprisingly worked). Simple. Just protect those ultos at all cost,
Oh yeah in case of big groups bring squash and cherry bomb

Squash is the g v p in these challenges. It's more like torture experiments , but you know whatever.
Something about the final level tells me that Winter Melon is still S tier even with the nerfs.

I actually used cold snap dragon and banana launcher for the prophesied drought. Don't ask why, I just thought it'd work better.

The barrel zombies are just very much a sleeper pick in Close Encounters, i lost too one on the final wave and rage quit

You can stun Fairytale Forest boss sharktronic turbin attacks with Electric Blueberry, but He (the boss) need to be struck 3 times by their lightning cloud to prevent it
During "The Prophesied Drought", I had Thyme Warp, Biongsetta and IceBloom since I know unfair sandstorms will come, but man I didn't expect thr random Graves spawning Fire Zombies so my plants worked out with Winter the main attacker and timed every unfair BS sandstorm/grave spawns with TW
For great deflate you is supposed to leave c2 empty and pop all the presents there so they don't push away your plants and don't go further. There's no way someone could knew this unintentionally without watching dev walkthrough.
For last level you is supposed to clear close gravestones asap to prevent torchlight necromancies. Veteran version for this level is wild, no chilling / freeze plants available and more dangerous fire-related zombies added to the mix.
Was blover banned in the balloon challenge? Or did you just not want to use it?

any zombie that drops a grid item on death is immune to shrinking violet and poison due to using healer zombie's code

Levels are super long, so there's not much I can do.
This isn’t your fault at all, and you can’t really do anything about it, but these levels are so ungodly long that it makes your video covering them boring lmao /lh
I feel like using the metal NMT zombies is cheating for a "hardest level".
I think it’s still fine as. On other hand reusing Mecha Football and the variants like Toy Car imps over and over again does kind of cheating

the best way to nerf winter melon is to probably reduce its damage, and also maybe reduce its chill area to a 1x3 area. either that or limit how many can be planted in a level.
