At 11:59 is a common problem at Buffets. Stop putting fries on the Buffet line. They never hold up heated. Either offer them fresh if you wait a few minutes or figure another potato option that holds up better. Somehow Tator tots hold up better and hash-browns but fries just go dry/ soggy or like a gum texture when left heated out.
What’s under rated about South Point Is their breakfast buffet. From good biscuits and gravy to their pork belly at the carving station, is worth its $14.95 (with the players card). 😃👍🏾
Do you guys realize how close we were to losing all buffets forever? When covid hit they had an excuse to get rid of them. The resorts hate buffets! They lose money and also cost a ton of money. But, buffets are a major reason people come to Vegas and when the first buffet opened back up in Vegas the other resorts couldn’t compete with any replacements and were forced to open theirs back up again just to get their traffic back. South point was actually one of, if not the first casinos to bring it back! Thank you Southpoint! You single hand-idly saved buffets in Vegas!!
I wish this was true for the Stations Casinos ( Red Rock, Durango, Green Valley, etc ). Their buffets are gone and NOT coming back. They've been replaced with restaurants / food courts etc. Only Rampart Casino and Southpoint have "reasonable buffet prices ( for locals ). Thanks .
Buffets are a "loss leader" Like cheap milk, bread and eggs

I miss the old days where almost every hotel and casino had an affordable buffet. Nowadays, I don't believe it's worth it.
But $46 for a lavish seafood buffet is a great price for Vegas today. Plus including two alcoholic drinks, a great value.

Next time have them charbroiler your "prime" rib, it'll turn it in to more of a steak taste. It's at the meat station and your rib roast will not leave your sight.
South Point is growing on me after seeing a few videos by vegas channels such as yourself, as a strictly strip and downtown visitor. I went to their late night specials (2 am) once and i ended up getting their burger and fries for like 5 bucks and it was amazing. The way the strip is going i may just make South Point my next visit
I ‘discovered’ SouthPoint a few years ago. I don’t even go to the Strip or even Downtown anymore. With discounted movies, wide selection of reasonably priced restaurants, bowling, friendly welcoming staff, free valet/parking. Mostly non-smoking visitors, SouthPoint is my go to place in Vegas now.

With the lack of buffet options now in Vegas, I highly recommend South Point. The line can get CRAZY long. I'd recommend going within the first hour (or early if you can) because of the line.

Southpoint is a really solid resort. The buffet has always been one of the better ones imo, we've eaten there numerous times, and never been disappointed.

We stayed in Southpoint for the bowling tournament this March, not our first time. We enjoy eating in their different restaurants including their snack places. Fair prices, good food, Chinese menu at Coronado Cafe. Best of all was their midnight breakfast menu for very cheap prices ( burger/ fries for $5 and shrimp cocktail for $4 or $5, can’t remember). Missed seafood night because we were treated to The Sphere by my son in law. Will try next time.

We've love staying here;
the slots, the buffets, the bowling alley upstairs, the bingo,
the moviehouse!
They also have a transportation for you to go to the strip, for just a nominal fee. Very helpful! Oh, and dont forget the amazing Sushi resto, the Steakhouse, and the Ice Cream Diner.
I wonder if they still have that $2 hotdog stand in the corner.
They also have a small Deli/ Cafe right by the front entrance.
The pool and the spa/ salon.... YES!!!

I'm a local and I love South Point buffet. Agree with the fried scallops. That's one of my favorite and I usually dip it in cocktail sauce with squeezed lemon.
I wanted to try it so bad when we visited 2weeks ago but my husband was too hangry to wait in the long line 😂

I love South Point. But after visiting the buffet a few times, I really enjoy the Coronado Cafe next door much more. Too much food at the buffet for me, and I love the menu and the fresh made items (and the pricing) at the restaurant.

Thanks for all your tips. We're coming back from central WI in 5wks for another week at Bellagio . This is the same price as Bellagio's buffet which is seriously lacking in quality seafood. We're definitely going to South Point on Friday. Thanks again and we've learned so much from your channel.
I too was sorely disappointed with the Bellagio buffet. The seafood buffet at SouthPoint opens at 3pm but I’d get in line closer to 2pm. The line can get long-g-g.

I hate seafood, but when in New Orleans I had to try the Antoine's Restaurant Oyster Rockefeller. (birthplace of oysters Rockefeller) I did not like it, but I'm glad I tried it! The rest of the food was excellent. Thanks for the video!
South Point is a great place. Good atmosphere, awesome table games with great staff. Enjoyed my time there.
I remember Chilled Crab Legs that were sawed open in Vegas, there was no waste, and no struggle. The place to be was Michael's Buffet on Friday, this was long ago. Also the Flamingo Buffet was good. Prices were amazing. Too bad things have changed in Buffets.

I discovered "bangers" thanks to this place. A rare food find I have not been able to find at any stores. Best sausages I ever ate. To be fair, on the downside, I never had a bad spring roll at any Chinese food place until I ate the ones here which are surprisingly not good.
Australian Blue Swimmer crabs are the absolute sweetest crab - and I've tried crab all over the world.
Best time to go to that buffet is around 7:00-7:30 the line is not as long, but if you get there earlier OMG. I’ve seen it as far as Steak And Shake and beyond. Best buffet by far in Vegas.

As a local, I love South Point! The buffet is amazing, they have lots of low $ slots compared to Green Valley, lots to do as well. From bowling, to the movie theater, Bingo, there's so much to do. Everything is reasonably priced. Considering it's an older casino too, it doesn't nearly smell as bad as you think with the amount of people smoking. Get their player card for buffet discounts!

Still watching this video, so I can't comment currently, but, went to a buffet in Nottingham UK, OMGosh gorgeous (chinese) and used your expertise, it's not easy but I tried a small bit of everything more than enough!
South Point just killin it as usual. THE best value in town, bar none - food, rooms, cocktails, the whole nine inches.
I keep seeing a lot of these kind of reviews for expensive buffets from different sites. In my view no buffet is worth more than 20 or 30 bucks. Most people simply don't eat that much. A buffet really does not have to have a ridiculous number of dishes to be worthwhile to go to. Most of these buffets for more than $30 can only really be used by wealthy people regularly or those who saved a lot to throw it away on these kinds of wasteful buffets. But here, you're in Vegas and Vegas is all about tempting people and giving them the illusion that what they are dong makes sense.

Snow crab season in Alaska is closed because they are not reproducing as well in the new warmer water that the change in climate has brought. repeated from a Los Angeles times newspaper report . I agree with giving the fisheries time to recover. I just hope the species can manage the new conditions, they are tasty. I would miss them on a buffet if the future came to that.
Great video on explaining how to get the discounted $46 price. Visitor's should be aware of how busy Fri-Sun visitorship to Las Vegas will be on a particular weekend to determine how long the Southpoint buffet will be. During the summer, December holidays, Superbowl, March Madness; lines can be up to 4 hours long.
