Bob Mover-Bebop Master

This video is a tribute to Bob Mover's career as a player and a teacher. Bob discusses his unusual life as a jazz musician, the great legends he has met and learned from, and demonstrates his approach to teaching creative jazz improvisation. This is a long video that should be studied in several viewings since Bob offers many useful insights. I have always thought of Bob as one of the most honest and most accomplished jazz improvisers I have ever witnessed. He is someone who is truly committed to the music as a performer and has never wavered from this focus. ENJOY!

I was very fortunate to study Bob when I was doing my Masters Degree at New Jersey City University. I learned so much from Bob's theoretical genius, his knowledge is boundless. He did stop me in the jury and asked me what the words were..I got it on the 1st tune, didn't on the 2nd tune. Thank you Bob.....I treasured those lessons...

These are great. I wish there was a serious where they asked him: "Ok you have 1 hour talk to me about Stan Getz". Then ok you have another hour tell me about Phil Woods and so on.
