Mel Thompson! Girl! OMG! I just rewatched your pixie hair tutorial since that’s the style I have. I just used Big Sexy Hair Powder Play for the 1st time and it’s life changing! It was literally blow dry, flat iron and Powder Play (& Kendra spray). And boom done! Spiky without the work. Thank you for all you teach us, you gorgeous lady! Much appreciated. ❤️
Loved the update Mel!!! You also reminded me I still need to grab a Coral Rose!!! Since I work in Healthcare, I just have not been wearing foundation, bronzer or blush due to me wearing a mask for the majority of my 10hr shift. I still go full glam on my eyes and brows and then just a quick buff of a powder foundation just to get the shine off my skin. Love ya Beauty!!!!! 😍❤

I have a Project Pan going, it's mostly products like lotion, soaps, hair products and stuff like that. I have like one mascara, one tinted moisturizer and a bronzer too. I have everything written down in my planner and I literally obsess over crossing things off when I use them up! LOL! This has made me more diligent about moisturizing, and my skin is softer than ever. I'm also even trying to use up some vitamins I bought, some herbal/medicinal teas and even burning up this bulk incense I bought! It's almost like it's a whole 'Use It Or Lose It' mission with all my stuff.
I even cut my plastic tubes open & scrape out any leftover and then wash out the tube to recycle. I’ve also disciplined myself to stop buying until I actually need something, unless it’s really special & then I wait for a sale.
@@PinCushionQueen I do the same with my “tubed” products. The “cheap wad” in me gloats when I use the last of a product. (While “the hoarder” in me peruses all her favorite makeup sites. Ha, ha!!) ☺️
Love that your project pan is a mothership palette. You chose to challenge yourself and rise to the occasion! That being said, maybe you can film some of your favorite looks using the palette!! I know so many of us have thr palette and could use inspiration
I totally understand the importance of this project pan, but I love makeup and when I see I hit pan on my palettes or my foundations are almost empty I get in to panic mode and I repurchase my items to make sure I always have them. When it comes to eye shadows I try to use a brand a week in order to alternate and revisit more from the same brand. This week for me is Pat McGrath in anticipation of the new palette that I ordered.

I need a Pat McGrath palette. I've been thinking about it for a few weeks. I'm fairly new to makeup as a collectors item as opposed to just practical, day to day. I really want two of the Mothership pallettes, V (Bronze Seduction) and III (Subversive).
If you've been wearing makeup for a while and know what color story works for you, and won't miss the money, then I highly recommend them. I have all the mothership pallets. Can say that those are some of the best ones.
You are doing really well!! 👏👏 That's fantastic progress Mel. Going through foundations, setting powders, skincare is pretty easy, but things like eyeshadow is the most challenging for me too. Getting the scale can be a good idea, it just depends what you'd like to get out of a project pan. I also watch people like Too Much Tash, and she uses: a scale, markings on bottles/photos, and cost per use, because she wants to collect data on how quickly/slowly she uses products, which ones are a good deal, and realistically how much it costs her per year for the amount of makeup, skincare and haircare she actually finishes. It's an interesting experiment to look back on if you can get a full 12 months of data. 🙂😊
It took me forever and ever to use up the Fenty powder! I used it all over my face every day. There's just so much product in it. Tip for cleaning out foundation bottles...Dawn Power Wash Spray! Take the pump out, carefully spray 6 to 10 sprays into the bottle, replace the pump, swirl the Dawn around the bottle and let it sit on it's side. Swirl/shake it around a few more times during the day. Rinse with hot water. Gets rid of every drop of foundation and the bottle is ready to recycle!
Can you try out the one size concealer and pressed powder foundation? I r heard great things about it and have been going back in forth on getting them. I saw Wayne’s video and I thought umm yea no I still like my Nose highlight lol. Hope everything is going good for you Mel.
You e done a great job! I put myself on a no-buy this year so that I could concentrate on using up my existing products and I’ve hit pan on two bronzers! I had a ton of Ulta points, so I caved last week and ordered the cream ABH bronzer, but does that count since I didn’t spend $$??? 😂
Oh my!!! Being the perfect neutral model I'm the only using Sisheido Synchro Self refreshing foundation among all my friends and I didn't know you also use it. I'm in between 220 and 260....but the skin with this foundation....great!! Specially in winter. Your project is in great progression, congratulations!!!

Project pans are so satisfying. You did a great job. I have a foundation, a powder, a concealer, and 2 lip glosses in mine. Just have one lipgloss left to go. I think I'm going to add a bronzer.
The only thing I've panned this year is a clear City Lips gloss, 3 Maybelline mascaras and my Smooches lip pencil is half the way! Everything else seems to be endless...lol😅 Keep golden, Mel! Love you tons, besos 😘
I've been trying to pan a Guerlain bronzer for almost a year. Its pressed SO hard. I also have to remove hard pan from it constantly. I just want it to die already 😂
Hey Mel, am I mistaken but visually the Guerlain bronzer looks like a baked gelee? Am I right? If so, that would be the reason it’s taking so much longer to hit pan. With Hourglass ambient lighting finishing powders it took me a couple of years to finally hit pan on the mini holiday palettes. Just to give you an idea. You are doing really well with your progress! Good job! 👏🏻

I finished an IT cc cream and Superhero mascara...then just had to re buy...at least I got a deal and new products fresher.
I'm going to try and pan a few things I have, there's some I just don't love! I'd like to use them up though instead of just wasting them!

Use it as a crease shade! That's how I hit pan on my Bobbi Brown bronzer.
