You're absolutely spot on with that comparison choice of Ledaig peated, rioja cask finish Jim; a truly memorable whisky that delivers excellent 'bang for your buck'. It's still holding its price, but from the looks of your example seems to not have the rosy colour associated with red wine cask finish. Perhaps I was lucky with mine.
Thanks for shining a light on this independent Ben Nevis, Jim. Not a front row fan of wine (related) finishes, but always interesting what independent bottlers have done with the spirit in comparison with the original bottlers. Slàinte mhath
I haven't had a Ben Nevis expression yet that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. Cheers Jim.

As always a great video

This one's a bizarre scenario Frank. Not your average wine finish given that Longrow heritage in the cask.
Slàinte my friend.
Put this bottle in the last time I hosted the Blind Tasting Consortium. I absolutely loved it as did a lot of the other people taking part.
Happy days. Cheers Ben.
3 course meal in a glass 🤣 hard to come by official Ben Nevis 10 one I would like to try.
