I genuinely don’t understand why anyone close to Biden would allow this to happen. Sadness is the key word that comes to mind.

My understanding is that a lot of Biden's team are intrinsically tied to him, so if he goes, they go. Consequently, you end up with a lot of people in Biden's inner circle pushing him towards podiums, because they're thinking about their own career before the good of the country.
It could be a worst vercion of Obama v Rodmney First Debate 2012. And despite nobody planfys to be this bad they might be tring to create a strategic self-deprecation to create a juxtaposition effect

My maternal grandmother suffered from dementia for nearly a decade before her death and I recognize the symptoms. I don't care where you stand on the political spectrum, this is elder abuse.
I'm sorry about your grandmother, I know it's not an easy thing to witness, it was my grandad for us. He had early onset dementia at 80 and my grandma kept that man cared for and safe for a decade.

Well it was apparent even before he became president... not nearly as bad as it is now, but those few times he made a public appearance even back then told it's own story. Vlad Vexler points out that Biden likely would have lost in 2020 but for the pandemic. That issue got him over the line, extremely narrowly. A few tens of thousands of votes in marginal states would have flipped it. I think that it's important for people talking to him not to pull punches (and even when talking to Jill).

I watched the debate through my fingers. It was absolutely excruciating.
I found myself holding my breath. I scanned ABC,NBC,CBS and no fact checking. I stopped subscribing to the 24 hour Cable News stations so I won’t know until I play Social media clips today. This has me worried as many people won’t take the time to seek out the actual facts. TCFG lied constantly per usual but came across better prepared than Biden and the comparison between their performances will make TCFG look great to too many I’ll informed people. 😢

In four short years Biden reversed foreign policy to get us to an imminent WW3 in four short years. Now, as Democrats used tech money to massively corrupt the electoral register last time to steal the election (using COVID excuse for a massive postal voting call as an excuse 50M+ votes) and Republicans have not been able to correct these registrations (it takes ages as Judges require three visits to each address to show that the person registered does not live there or that the person is an alien and not entitled to vote), Democrats perhaps feel they can get a person with dementia elected. However, they need real votes also... the tech money could not corrupt the electoral system so completely... and if people with Democrat persuasion and Trump haters do not turn up to vote in sufficient numbers, even with the fraudulent system they wont succeed in getting Biden elected. We shall see. This is why Trump said he would only accept the results if he felt they were fair. They wont be! but with some luck it wont matter and Trump will win.
