I think it was a bit weird for Fred at first, too. Then Fred just decided that he couldn't play that game, and decided to give Nard the minimum polite participation.

The guy gives a lot and is under constant media scrutiny. If I were in his position, I wouldn't let them see my real personality. You need to have something that is yours that won't be picked apart by journalists and assholes in the comments section.

Fred is one of those great comedic actors i always miss on "the greats" tier list, and as soon as i remember i go through their portfolio and comment on videos from 10 year ago.
Nardwuar is a legendary interviewer. He lives to surprise these people who have been asked the same questions for years on end. It takes a lot of work but he must get a kick out of it. That's his whole angle; doing the research and the mastery of finding exclusive archives.
One of the best short interviews I have ever enjoyed. I do not know this Fred Armisen, nor all bands referenced to, but I am very interested in everything Nard is talking about with him. Nardwuar inspires curiosity in things, because he's a curious man, and himself a curiosity.
This is a perfect interview, they bounced off of each other so fast and both seemed like they'd been talking for a while, even though they hadn't. Great stuff.

I recently had a coworker that looked exactly like Fred Armisen only with slightly darker skin, and he was a goofball with a sense of humor from hell, he was hilarious just like Fred, I wonder if they were related.
on that last question I couldn't tell if he was really pissed off or just doing an act lol with so many characters he does who knows when he's being real or not haha! but it was funny how every time he answered back in a smart tone I just saw him as Candice on Portlandia haha!! And that "People are never disappointed about anything" part killed me dead LOLOL!!!
