Okay Frank, another awesome kit that you are building. This one should be a really nice build and that green will really set it off. I believe they did sell this car in a dark green, but can't recall if there was ever one in bright green. Thanks for not doing it in silver.
Good on ya Frank. I just don't have the time to participate in all these group builds. Heck, I've barely got the time to do my own builds! Being a single homeowner, there are a lot of chores to do that I don't anyone to share with. So I gotta do it all! I think if I was going to do a Rock & Roll car build though, it would be a two'fer. An "XKE" and a "Stingray". 😎 Peace and love.
How about Krylon fluorescent orange for the Mercedes? I know where you can get the paint real cheap!!
I’ve been suggesting a music related GB for years; cars easy, but you could also do some ships, and even planes. Thanks to Blue Oyster Cult could even do Kaiju.

I've always liked the box art on that kit - but never got around to buying one. I think your build may convince me I need one so I'm definitely going to see what you do. I agree silver is a bit common and boring . I see the Green Hell on Splash's website for the Mercedes - I think that wold be a great choice 🙂 I am doing a 32 Ford for this group build. 👍

I remember that song. You must be a glutton for punishment! lol I was asking Billy Strange about the GB, because I'm a big Metallica fan and their video for the song Fuel is full of cool cars. I could do a Caddy based on Johnny Cash's One Piece at a Time, but that's a country song. I'm betting a lot of Red Corvettes and 409s and GTOs are gonna get built. lol Hey, maybe...Mustang Sally?

I don't think in 1970 Janis meant the SLR. The popular Mercedes Sports car in 1970 was the 280SL. MPC has a kit. Just sayin' 😝
