The curtain, our human desire, is hiding G-d’s intention behind, desire to give. Life(time)is worth of our efforts to sustain, for life(time) exist to serve His plan.
He hides in order to help. In smaller space, we can find real treasure. Like a story of a bankrupted Jewish farmer, who had been always donating to shul and the weak. He found one day at foot a sinking ox, last ox, a real treasure in his field. Because he sold most of his field to do last donation. In smaller place we can find real precious thing, which supports our lives, which makes us better givers ( His will and wisdom within us).
“ Here I am.” = “ Use me as your time.”
- from Japan ❤. Peace and good intentions among all “Israel”. I’m praying for you!
This was so amazing, I need to listen again. So simply stated, such subtle ideas, a distinction made between a life without a relationship with God and a life with that relationship, a distinction between merely rational and divine.
Reliance on the mind or ... God, but much more than that, as mere comfortable existence is not the goal. There is a need for joy, the need for that divine relationship, what makes life worth living.
Thank you, Rabbi.
You mine riches from these old texts that my mundane mind would not otherwise realize.
I am in awe.

Good morning Rabbi Friedman! Today’s message is EXACTLY why I am turning to Judaism as a way by which to live my life. Inch by inch, day by day I am learning a little bit more. And… I find that your unique perception brings a humanity to my studies that makes me feel that I am worthy!
Your explanations and teaching are invaluable!!! But why did Abraham cast away Hagar and Ishmael ? Was it a Godly advice ?
I'm a muslim & i got circumcision when I was a baby. 13 is to old in modern times
Thank you so much for this informative, knowledgeable lesson respected Rabbi Manis Friedman.
The clock goes back. Daylight savings
The Eighth day is important for circumcision. On the eighth day the child has more clotting factor than on the seventh and on the ninth. It is the best time to circumcise.

Why do Jews like to leave our their brother Ephraim when speaking about Abraham as their forefather? 12 tribes, not all ‘Jewish’, comprise the covenanted Israelites.
Could you rephrase your question? I have no idea what you are trying to ask.
A Jew is a Judean, all the 12 tribes were in Judea. Mostly Judah, Benjamin, Simeon, and the Levites assigned to those tribes, plus the spouses and merchants from all the other tribes were in Judea.
@@shainazion4073 After the death of Solomon, the Jewish kingdom split in two. The northern kingdom was Israel, and the southern was Judea. The word Jew comes from Judea. Judea was home to the tribes of Judah and Benjamin, along with Levites who lived among them. All residents of Judah became known as Jews. The name has stuck through the ages. Note that in Esther, Mordechai is called a Jew, although he is from the tribe of Benjamin. The rest of the tribes lived in Israel.
