The answer to the question about how to keep our children here is very simple: legalize hemp and put hemp and timber bamboo as the forefront for Hawaii's return to an agricultural based economy while implementing legislation that prevents a corporate takeover of the industry.
Skye Hoefke I agree with hemp but timber bamboo will just be another crop that takes up prime ag. Land. Hemp and diversified agriculture is the way forward. Gone are the ways of destructive mono cropping. Perhaps I don't have enough knowledge of timber bamboo cultivation and harvesting methods but hawai'i's history with mono cropping is not the greatest.

Did you know that all the chicken eggs for all the Islands were raised and sold on Oahu back in the 60’s but there was a outbreak ( which was corrected) and then after that the fake state passed so many regulations that is was not profitable for local farms to produce so now we but for the US. This is the type of stuff that prevents farmers from providing food for all the islands
Properly educate them with practical use professions to rebuild the Kingdom!!! Professions like attorneys, accountants, physicians NOT just agriculture.

The truth is the service industry is bullshit jobs that provide no value to the world. We need to move to become industrial producers, and creators for the islands and stop having our wealth siphoned off back to America, China, and Japan.
