Are Namielle's hitboxes really that shit? Just started Iceborne earlier and curious since with shit hitboxes and scummy moves it looks like a pain to fight, be it guard, evade or ranged... GS main here so expecting a nightmare of a fight...
Namielle's hitboxes are really janky, especially when water is involved. Combine that with really bad hutboxes (Hope you like seeing grey numbers everywhere but the head and arms... and even then the head takes jack all for damage), and you have an elder dragon no one likes hunting more than once. Takes far too long to die, and too many BS ways to die.
@manifestation of Gudako's insanity I just keep seeing lances take ticks over and over then suddenly a massive 100-130 damage all at once from the same move (the pool thingy), hitzones are crap looking at them on Kiranico, hitboxes look worse than Gen 1 Plesioth/Gen 2 Garuga (Namielle's thunder and pools hitting you from more than a FULL ROLL AWAY) and it just has a LOT of scummy moves in general, making it an even more annoying than Nightshade Paolumu with the stupid clouds or Daora with tornado spam! If the fight is as crap as it seems and sounds like, then I'd rather they had given us a different annoying but really fun ED, Chameleos, still scummy, but at least much more fair... PS: Don't rip old MH, I LOVE old MH and all it's clunkiness, it's what made me fall in love with the series, it's SO clunky and with shit hitboxes half the time that a single mistake meant death, unlike hack and slash crap where you can mess up as much as you feel like and still win...

1070ti The game's also very CPU heavy btw so it might not even be a graphics card issue you're having. I'd also recommend to turn off volume rendering, that feature eats up a lot of ressources (and imo the game looks better with it turned off anyway)

Was worried it wouldn't help after you mentioned CPUs, since I have an intel one in the generation that they had to cripple themselves to avoid a vulnerability, but things are running pretty fine even with that handicap.
I like Namielle , what i don't like are idiotic hitbox on Shara Ishvalda and some monster attacks . The mh team should do stuff properly with sized hitboxes not this bull.

I actually like her/him (never know if it is a she or a he). The moveset is quite readable, and I enjoy the unique strategic aspect of the fight (avoid watered areas). I like how she/he uses two different elements in sinergy. And I think she/he is one of the best looking monster in the game. It's true, hitboxes are fucked up, hitzones are janky and the multi hits wave are absolutely one of the worst pains in the ass the game has to offer; gotten rid of this bullshit, I still believe it's a very enjoyable fight.
I'd rather fight Namielle over Kushala. At least with Namielle I can negate the water bullshit with the waterproof mantle, which lasts a decent chunk of time. Kushala's wind can kiss my ass. Even with the Rocksteady mantle (which doesn't last that long to begin with) the massive fuck you tornados hit hard. If you can get a headlock going it's fine, but if you mess that up then it becomes painful.
Tell me where i can find a such strong Capture net...it’s so powerful!

No thats no glitch, the hitbox stays active after the initial hit. Didnt had time to transition from counter thrust to power guard if you ask me.

You have new moves even if you don't have IB, it came with the update. Pressing L2 after most Greatsword attacks chains into TCS.
