We all have days like this and you are just the best at showing how to press on, remedy the situation, all with a laugh at the craziness. Your makes were no less beautiful or functional. Crafting is rather forgiving if we don't get too hung up on the details. Keep shining xxx
Jeff and I watched this together yesterday evening and had a few giggles. I absolutely love it when you recreate ephemera I have sent you. You never mess it up! It’s great that you came up with a variation on the fly! See, no mistakes just happy endings! I love the variation and so I need to go and make one that way. So I will see you later when I watch todays video! Hugs and blessings for a great Sunday my friend🥰.
Silly Saturday’s are a fun start to the weekend. I love the items Frieda made. I’m so happy to learn how to make them. Happy game weekend with your family.
I love how you laugh at yourself. It’s infectious….I was laughing with you😁 “Tell me to settle down”….too funny! Thank you for the giggles and the great ideas as always! 😊
Loved this pocket!! Thank you Gayle and Frieda! While you did those, I was collaging the flyers in voters mail! Trash to treasure! You have taught me belly bands, pockets and tags. Enjoy you shows and your humour! Thank you!
Such a super cute pocket. And what a fun video. I love it when we get to show people the human side of us, even when it's frustrating to us for people to see that. I love how perfectly imperfect you are, Mom ... and I mean that with the best of intentions, love, and kindness. I love how you pulled this one off. Great job 👏
That second one especially would make nice stocking staffers because even a non journaler could use it for to do lists, etc. I hope you have a delightful day. Love&hugs
Good job on the lighting. I absolutely love listening to you while we watch you making all of the beautiful things you create. Thank you for allowing us to eves drop on ya... 😂 It is a great day when I get to watch your videos. As always you are awesome... never loose that fabulous sense of humor. TTFN ❤️
This is great, Gayle, I have 5 TNs to finish and need ephemera ideas. Thanks for coming to the rescue once again! I've already been scrolling through your other many tutorials. Love having your inspiration at my fingertips!😄❤🤗
Hi Gayle. Love seeing you make mistakes and giggle at yourself. Makes me feel better about all my mistakes or maybe I should say, learning opportunities. 😊
Good Evening Gayle! Great idea and TYFS. I have bases, matchbooks and pockets made up; and all I have to do is put them together. I use my master board to make bases too. Have a great evening and see ya tomorrow. 👍🍂🍂🍂
Our first snow fall today. The snow and all these darling Christmas projects sure put me in a Christmas mood. I love fall though and am NOT ready for winter. Fun project Gayle.
Donna, you must be in the midwest somewhere! I felt the same way watching Gayle this morning. The flakes are flying around outside here in Illinois and after watching Gayle makes these two adorable projects, I couldn’t think of anything I’d rather do than make a few myself!
Hi Gayle. Hope your Saturday and Sunday are blessed! Also, I like to call the mistakes “Happy Mistakes”. I learned from the Painter Bob Ross. Hugs and love to you always! Sue M.(Clearwater, Florida)❤️😊🌼🌸😘🙏🏻❌⭕️
Good morning Gayle!! Your pieces turned out so cute. Thank you for the idea of what to do with my Tim Holtz backdrop papers. These would be cute for other seasons too!! Have an awesome Saturday...💜
Love these ephemera ideas! A great way to use my brads as I was gifted so many of them. I def want to build my own idea book based off of all of this wonderful inspiration.
Wait…what??? I’m taking notes as you’re talking and cutting! So much fun and, after all, it’s just paper. You did say in the title of this episode that we were making ephemera INSPIRED by Rustic Prairie Gems not exactly like what Freida made, right? I’m sure if 10 of your subbies all made one of these absolutely adorable pockets, each and every one would be different and I don’t mean paper choices. Once we start working on something like this, our creative minds start generating ideas and, well, you know…it just works! ❤ I know I’m inspired!
Good morning Gayle. We must have been in sync this morning. As you were cutting and making mistakes, I was doing the same on a journal I am working on. Thankfully I had another piece of paper. I am using an altered book and scrapbook paper so I could not print another. Yikes! The joys of crafting. Take care and good luck to your granddaughter in her Divisionals. Hugs. 💕
Love the red nose Santa, he looks like he had too many spiked eggnogs 😂 Love your videos, you always put a smile on my face. Which doesn’t happen to much since I’m taking care of my mom with dementia. Also my daughter and her fiancé are both deployed God Bless you and Mike
Had to run to my craft room and try the first one! Ordered the lace on the bobbins (several actually) after watching a previous video and supposed to arrive this next week, can’t wait! Thanks for sharing with us.
Hi Gayle I made one along with you. I love it. I cut my paper for the inside to 3 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches so it doesn’t interfere with the brads. Trial, error.
Oh Gayle, I’m right there with you and laughing too. I always say I have to do/make something wrong so I know how to make it right! 🤣 It still is pretty and you have a new style with your twist on it! ❤️ Have a blessed day!
This was a making scraps Saturday. Haha. I was yelling turn it over. But now you have a bonus pocket! Can’t wait to hear how state went. Hope she’s doing great!! Have lots of fun!
Those are great. And I also love your variations too! Happy accident is what that was… or just your creativity working overtime. I hope the girls all did well at their tournaments. I also played volleyball while in school, but not at that level. They sound gifted.
Thank you for this ephemera, they are great. Don’t worry about the mistakes you make we subbies learn from them. I think for all you have going on you do fantastic. When I have days that things are a little off I just say, I must be a little off center today. ❤️🐇
Thank you so much, Freida, for your gift through YT Super Thanks! I appreciate your support so very much! I absolutely love what I do and spending time with my YT crafting buddies! Your appreciation and support are received with a grateful heart. Thank you so much! Love and hugs to you! 🤗❤️
Hi Gayle rainy Saturday here in North Andover. Sweet and useful ephemera, I can see these two pieces being useful in many ways. It’s adorable how excited you get over creating I feel the same way most of the time, I get oblivious to the rest of the world when I’m into my crafts. Have a beautiful day and good luck on your granddaughters’s tournament! 💖
I love how your notebooks all turned out, and I appreciate how you keep it real and don't worry about restarting, or editing out blunders. Everything works out in the end! I'm brand new to journal making and am so clumsy with it all, so it's nice to see that I don't need to be perfect and it'll be ok! I'm only making my 2nd ever journal and the other day I accidentally completely covered the wrong side of the paper I was using on the inside of the cover with glue before picking it up and realizing...oops! Your creativity and personality remind me of crafting with my grandma when I was a child and you're such a joy to watch. I did have a question that maybe you or other viewers could help with...what kind of glue similar to your art glitter glue is easily found in Canada or on the Canadian amazon? There aren't any big craft stores nearby where I live, only 1 Michaels in the province over an hour away in a direction we never go to. :P The art glitter glue is so expensive on Amazon but maybe that's just what glue is going to cost? I haven't been able to find other alternatives when browsing but I don't know what brands there are, to look up. The one I'm using when a glue stick won't work warps my pages. Thanks so much!
I’m in Australia and Art Glitter glue is very expensive here too. I just use pva glue. Works really well. I see a lot of journal makers use Fabritac as well. Try those. 📚✂️🧷🖊📝
Hi Savannah! Thanks for your lovely words! I’m glad you got a reply below. Since I’m in the US, I really can’t advice on Canadian products. Thanks so much for watching, my northern friend! ❤️
It’s a knitting needle cap from the knitting department of Hobby Lobby. I poked a pin dangle that was gifted to me through the cap. Pin dangles are available from various sellers on Etsy. ❤️
I’m gonna have to finish watching this later, my friend is coming over to pick me up to go to a vintage market, I don’t think I’ll buy anything at least I’m trying not to buy anything. I need to make one of these for the journal I’m working on now, my Nordic Christmas which is mostly black, gold and copper and it’s really hard to come up with ephemera, I’m adding in some red but I’m trying to stay away from the green. It’s taking me longer than it needs to take me just because I can’t use anything premade because I have nothing in that color scheme. I don’t know why I do this to myself. 😅 😝
Dear Gayle how are you. I’m really watching late today. It’s 6:24pm. Today was crazy and cold. Hate the cold 🥶. Gayle do you have a link to the hitch fasteners that you use on your journals? I think they are Tim Holtz. I’m not sure what size you use but, I know I don’t want the tiny ones. I would love all colors. Today was really fun. You had me laughing so hard that I had to use my asthma spray. Keep it up. You’re good for all of us.🥰🥰💝❤️😂😂😂

We call that making it your own - my motto - “No mistakes in Art, just embellishments”. I creating a T-shirt with this on it. ❤️🙏🏻💯

Love that you can laugh at yourself all the while during your mistakes ❣️ don’t take your crafting too seriously.

Fantastic pockets, Freida has such wonderful ideas! Your sense of humour is awesome Gayle, it’s all good til Santa gets poked in the nose!😂❤️
Oooh golly gosh Gayle ... the giggles were a plenty :) :) :) ❤
LOVE LOVE LOVE watching you! Comedy of errors!😂 you’re great
Happy accidents make for new ideas! I learned that from Bob Ross, seems I’m happy all the time…..love your happy accidents! 😂❤
