    Dear Sir
    If I need to use A&B inputs of encoder and count Up/Down for length measurement with a wheel connected encoder. what is the suitable counting type to be selected? 1 Phase 1 Input or 2 Phase 2 Input? Basically I don't need quadrature (4x resolution) only raising edges of Up/Down pulses are enough for my application.

    • @thegeterrdone

      +dhanush kumar Hello! Well i can guide you a bit here. For the software of delta PLC please goole WPL Soft., you may find free download in the internet.
      For the motor i prefer you simple DC motor which can be easily reversible by interchanging it/s poled. If your load is more, you can use gear DC motor.
      To detect the position of DC motor you can use limit switches.
      I hope this little information will help you to organize your project.

    • @rebalistkrishna2662
      @rebalistkrishna2662 Před 8 lety

      limit switch is very much useful for end and ground floor.. but for others floor can i use proximity sensor??? so that it can sense the position of lift and correspondingly the motor stops according to the user keypad... one more thing sir... if i use gearmotor then should i need motor drive like hbridge or any ic module.. if needed then how to interface that motordrive in plc which is different than the stepper motor dive that i have seen in ur lecture.. its is very costly if i use stepper motor...

    • @thegeterrdone
      @thegeterrdone  Před 8 lety

      +dhanush kumar Yes you can use proximity sensor as well. It's upto you..although it can be done using limit switches as well. You can use simple DC motor and to change it's direction you can use simple relay circuit. If you want to decelerate the speed of DC motor then you need a motor driver. Otherwise just to change the speed and stop-start operation just relays can do the task.
