When I was about 13 years old, my music teacher Lt. Col. S. Rhodes, formerly Senior Director of Music the Scots Guards, played a recording of this piece. I fell in love with the french horn. Sadly I never learned to play any instrument, although I tried. Sam was an inspirational teacher, and he gave me a love of all kinds of music, thank you sir!
I fell in love with this piece of art when I was 10 or 11 years old, during one of my Music classes at school. An audio tape that came with the music manual had this track, among many other samples of noises and pieces of music necessary for our exercises in class. I used to play this audio tape over and over again, thrilled with the different sounds and music tracks. This one was my favourite and I used to even dance to it. Unfortunately I lost the tape eventually, but I never forgot this music. I searched for it relentlessly for years, in everything that was classical music related. I couldn't have known the name of the track, since the tape only featured the numbers of each track, and not their original names. Only one year ago, at 28 years old, I was able to finally find this. I didn't even had any idea it was from Mozart. What a joy to be able to hear it! Such nostalgia and one of the most joyfull and beautiful classic masterpieces I've ever heard.
Oi sou Trompista e espero um dia chegar nessa grandeza que esse cara tem.... tenho apenas 13 anos. Hi am horn player and I hope one day reach this greatness that this guy has .... I'm only 13.
i have to do this for NYSSMA my private lesson teacher gave this to me to do, even though NYSSMA is cancelled this year i am still practicing hard because i want to be better at the horn...im only in eighth grade.
La verdad es que mis amigos del cole han ido a ese concierto y yo no porque tengo la espalda fatal. Mañana tengo cita con el medico para revisar mi espalda. Es que estoy echando de menos a mis amigos del cole :(
Not really, he's giving a clear beat still. Not all conductors give clear tempo either, some just try to work with the dynamics and styles to give passion and emotion to the music.
La parte más bella de este concierto.Escuche alguna vez y me llamó el atención,una transcripción a guitarra aunque se oyó algo pobre de volumen el guitarrista,no falló notas y sonó agradable.
I want to stand up and JUMP!!! This movement is pure joy!!!
man this guy has a beautiful sound.. crisp, clean, simplistic... excellent
Currently playing this as my solo this year as a junior in high school and I am so in love with this piece

I got a 1 :)
haha @ 3:56 :D
Where could one get the sheet music for this solo
i don't know why conductors and band directors conduct very radically like this. it gets hard trying to recognize the tempo
lol, you call this "radical"? It's on the faster side, but it is not radical.
This is pretty standard conducting. They do much more than keep tempo, that part is almost automatic at this level. He's directing what he wants live.
Not really, he's giving a clear beat still. Not all conductors give clear tempo either, some just try to work with the dynamics and styles to give passion and emotion to the music.
I picked up this piece in 8 or 9:th grade, plus it's the easier one out of the 4 concertos.
hello

Why he look like the mayor of Chewandswallow
