You know, one thing I never thought of until this video is that this is a great middleground between mowing the lawn yourself and having the automated robot do it everyday with the boundaries strategy. I could definitely see myself grabbing a lawn chair, a six pack, and just relaxing while controlling this thing around the lawn

Only downside of any of these automated/ semi automated mowers is they don't catch the grass. Not desirable if you have dogs or fast growing grass
Great for people that have mobility issues, bad back or breathing problems

@MaNNeRz91 where did you see that? Maybe I somehow missed it but I saw all the grass shooting out the back of that thing the whole time. If it did catch the grass that would defeat the purpose of it being RC since you would constantly need to empty the bag.

I had a lawn that got as thick as a thickest you showed. I have more gas powered expensive push mower that would not even go through it without me lifting it up every half of foot. That was three houses ago. My current house has a minimal amount of grass and a landscaper who takes care of it. I only wish I had this remote control one when I had that old large thick grass. This remote control lawn mower is amazing. You do a great job of promoting it. I don't need one but I want one.
There is a certain point where you have so much grass that, even with a proper tractor, you just stop cutting it more than a time or two a year and call it hay.

the most impressive feature is that the blade never got filled up with so much grass that it gets stuck and stops completely

@@scottneil1187An extremely neglected lawn will definitely gum up a mower (especially when the grass is wet). I'd like to say anything taller than 8 inches will gum up a mower. However, I've never seen a gas mower stall due to stuck grass, it just won't cut as well.
Inherently, electric mowers are weaker, but not by much in some cases. I can see an extreme case where the blade starts to gum up and the mower needs to send more power, so it dies quicker, but I think that's why these mini electric mowers have a different blade design. I haven't seen the underside of this one yet, but if it's like his other one with four spinning discs, I can't see it stalling under normal and slightly extreme circumstances
Edit: After seeing it flip, I know it's built like a regular lawn mower, and it did stall if he tried to cut too fast, but not because the grass was gumming it up
Should have run this one side by side to that two track remote control lawn mower you had last year. That would be a great show down

cool mower, I like that it's constructed on a metal frame and looks to be a well put together machine. Makes me wish I had a yard to mow. BTW the link for mower does not work. Oh and you forgot to show the auto bag dump feature. When it gets full, you can press a button and the bag tips up and dumps. then you can continue to mow from wherever you are sitting.

That is an insanely large battery. They should sell a battery generator/power inverter to hook that sucker up to for camping and power outages. Ego's option comes with up to 48 ah capacity, and it lasts a very long time for small power draw usages like charging laptops/phones and running lights or fans.

After watching the entire video, the most surprising part was the price point. Was fully expecting the 2WD variant to be $3999, and the 4WD around $5999. The fact you can get this thing completely kitted out for $2500 is absurd.

They have to price it at that level. For $2500-3000 you get into riding and zero turn mowers. $2500 is still way too expensive, but for a first launch its not bad, its just definitely a toy not a tool.
That's just the discounted sale price. Full price is close to $5k fully kitted out.
I can get an amazing ryobi all electric 36" zero turn mower for 3 grand new these days. I would take that over a tiny rc mower any day. Those new ryobi zero turns have rad joystick controls too

The worst part of products that use batteries that one day need to be replaced is deciding if you should buy a brand new product with a battery or buy a battery that costs 80% of a new product with battery. It's why I always buy indoor products with a cord and outside items that use gasoline.
We use the LiFePO4 battery which has good advantage of longevity. 😊The battery life could be triple than normal lithium battery.
99% of people never do any maintenance to the gas engine and end up replacing it after about five years anyway.

I still think the tracked rc gas mower from Amazon is better. Better reach, more stability, and ability to maintain. The Mowrator is great for smaller yards
this looks like the mower that Taylor Ray was using on his overgrown lawn and if it is then it's a pretty good mower as it helped him with all the leaves in his lawn plus the overgrown grass
You need to put some studded tires on it and retest the slopes. If the tires are hard plastic just put some hex head self tappers in them
They actually sell tires for better traction for hills as an accessory for the mower.

That thing is a beast, ive now got mower envy.
It lays the grass down alot! But the other one mows the yard by itself and then takes itself back home and plugs it self in! Other one is btr so far.
Tyler the lawn mower your using in this video looks awesome and it climbed a 45 degree angle and went past the 40 degree angle but have you tried to see how much weight it can pull before quitting
First of its type that I’ve been impressed by ❤after 21 years as a combat medic and a few injuries related to that line of work this thing is super tempting lol until I win the lottery I will continue pushing along but that thing is definitely badass.

Wow. That mower is about $2k for the 2WD version The 4WD is about $2600. I think it may actually be worth the money seeing how Tyler is putting it through its paces! I LOVE that idea. I wish I had $2k for it!! Also, I wish I had a grass lawn that made this mower worth me buying it. LOL

I have been on multiple big gas and diesel powered lawnmovers, that has handled that amount of grass worse, than this thing did. Yes, those big machines handled hills better, but did not manage that amount of tall grass.. I am very impressed by this machine 😉👍
Having the ability to drive it with the blades off, it could double as a light weight cooler carrier or something similar, for a cottage or outing in the backyard.

One thing I wonder is if you were to either put an aggressive tread/ stud the tires if it'd go up steep hills a little easier. Might be something to consider trying
2k+ for a mower is a hard sell, but that aside the thing is legitimately eating through grass almost as well as a zero turn. Very impressive, they should use Tyler's video in their marketing, seriously.
