I've been looking for a video like this. Great job of explaining.-----There is a cemetery where my wifes family is buried. There is a father and son buried with anvils as headstones each. The father did all kinds of blacksmithing but the son did nothing but sharpening shares.
Dick is a great and talented guy. I learned from a Mr. Bennet to weld more steel on the back of the blades building it with the arc welder, then forge out the edges. I haven't done any since I moved to Arkansas 26 years ago. I was surprised Dick's share didn't look like a cowboy hat with my birth date one one edge:
