Jerry Lee is the greatest of all time. If it were not for him I never would have learned to play piano and sing. I finally got on national TV on AMC networks "Showville" where I got play piano and sing my original song "Boogie Woogie a la King" inspired by Jerry Lee Lewis. I met Jerry in NY in 2007 and got to hang out back stage thanks to my friend Kay. Got the picture of Jerry and I hanging on my wall. Thank you Jerry for your great music which inspires me every day and has got me through some tough times. Rock on Killer!!!!! Thanks for posting this interview.

It's like the whole show is always leading up to Elvis and what they did with him, what he thought of then etc.
It must be awkward for other performers " Famous in their own right" to go onto a tv show briefly talk about their own career and get asked so many questions about Elvis.
Sure he was the biggest name of them all, but it's like he's still overshadowing them even long after his death, I'm aware they need publicity and to get it they have to talk about Elvis, but c'mon change the bloody record George, sure you were a member of his Gang but to promote him to the extreme is getting a bit much.
In all fairness I guess most people watch this because they are Elvis fans and that's how you make money by getting guests to talk about him with you, but it gets very tiresome

Jimmy Gilstrap Elvis could play the piano and Guitar. Also he could sing any style of music .Elvis was very Humble and he and Jerry Lee were friends and had respect for each other . Elvis had a ear for music and was a Natural . Jerry Lee was Amazing and his style was all his and God gave them both talent .I have a friend who lived a Graceland with Elvis and he told me some great Stories about them and they had great love for each other . Elvis is the only singer to ever be put in all of the hall of fame s. He loved Gospel music and he gave so much away all to help his fellow man and never wrote off a dime . What a pair of legends the Killer and the King . And bye the way Elvis got it right when one night at a sold out show . A whole role of girls has these signs thAt spelled out Elvis is the King . When he saw this he stopped the show . And told them to put down the signs and sit down he said Jesus Christ was the King and I am just a man I'm no King . Then he played How great thou art . Elvis proudest moment was when he inducted into The Gospel hall of fame But it was later after he had passed . Both Men are legends . That memphis Sound will never die with men like them and Johnny cash .

      Your mama was though.
      JLL the Original Rebel
of Rock n Roll and he will always will be The Real King of Boogie Woogie Rock n Roll that Elvis could never play.
Elvis was great, but he was no Jerry Lee Lewis. He couldn't even play the piano 1/8th as good as Jerry Lee.
Plus, Elvis was too busy putting his makeup on like a woman, to go touring with Lewis, Cash, Orbison & perkins.
They ask him many times in the early days in the 50's, but elvis way afraid to get beat up at some of the joints along way.
Elvis was also embarrassed to even take his shirt off going swimming when Tom Jones came over for a pool party. Pricella said later that elvis mentioned that Tom Jones was built more of a man than he was, so he felt embarrassed to take his shirt off around him.
Elvis was great singer, but he was flake in a lot of ways.
Not to mention all the women dates around him from the 50s said they sat near him and he would never get excited like he was limp all the time so I think he had some sexual problems that's for sure.
Priscilla said when she was married to elvis at Graceland, that Elvis didn't touch her for a good 6 years that he was terrible in bed and he couldn't perform.
Imagine that, being Elvis Presley have all the looks and talent singing and you can't even perform in bed with women.
But he had a great voice and looked good, that's about it.
He was no actor that's for sure . The movies were lame.

Jerry could be a real jerk, but he was one hell of a talent. As a piano player he was without peer IMO. He also had a very distinctive voice. RIP killer.
