  • The Blue Core Venom is a medium light oil ball that features an asymmetrical core! The Gear APG weight block is a low differential core and gives you plenty of versatility in drillings options for a ball on this part of the ball chart! Motiv wrapped this ball in the Coercion MFH Reactive cover which provides plenty of length through the front of the lane while picking up in the middle of the lane with enough traction to give you the control you love in a Venom! This is a can't miss ball that you have to have in your bag, pick one up today!

    Excellent vid, the way you throw is almost exactly the same way I throw mine ,so it gives me a better idea of how it should look going down lane.

      @@BkbowlingTips shot 247 on my first game with it. I used it when lanes are starting to transition. I hit it with 3000 ctd pad to get it to be a little earlier but have yet to see what it would do with that surface

    Have to admit that 1.5 inch pin was super smooth off the spot, Probably perfect for early when the back ends are flying.

    Great review. My local shop is recommending this ball for a replacement ball for me. I am just getting back to the sport and my equipment is over 22 years old. I am looking to get into something newer with a similar feel to my Columbia Blue Pulse as i'm sure technology is so different that it would be a pick up to my game. What are you thoughts on this as a replacement?

      I feel the Venom line is a great ball choice for someone with your circumstances. The core of the Venom Shock and this new Blue Coral Venom asym fits so many styles and many lane conditions! Thinking we will really like this choice and something I would feel confident in recommending! Let me know how it rolls!!!!! Thanks for your comment!!

    I’m looking for a good mid-late ball that I can use when friction starts to build up and I want to move left. I bowl high speed and decently high revs and am doing a sport shot league. I feel like I can avoid the super weak pieces like the thrills and the Supra. Instead I was thinking either this or the ripcord launch. Which one would you recommend? (I already have a black venom and feel it would be close to the BCV)

      @BkbowlingTips  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Thanks so much for your question. Thinking about this I have a couple of thoughts. Your question centers around “when there is friction” and what to do to create the shape you want. I feel a low diff solid ball for higher rev is a must, the smaller core and less flare will “help you” get the ball down the lane and the cover will keep it from over reacting in the dry. So the Top Thrill solid fits this shape nicely. If you are looking for angular motion down lane, the Ripcord Launch will certainly give you that. It’s a bigger core and has more diff so it might be a bit “strong” in higher friction so you will get a bigger overall footprint vs the Top Thrill Solid. However your higher speed you mention might help you get this down the lane. The question I have for you is, are you looking to control the backends if so the Top Thrill solid, if you are looking for more shape the Launch. The Blue Coral is a great ball just not sure that will fit your need here as you state above. Let me know if you have any more questions!!! Thanks!!

    hi Steve, I'm a low rev (285) low speed (14.30) at the sensor down lane and I bowl in a house that has really old SPL lanes. I would say It's medium to medium dry. I'm always on the hunt for equipment that match up with my game and the blue coral seems like the kind of ball that would be perfect for the way I approach the lanes, I really like to play more up the boards and love equipment that doesn't force me way far left, I can handle some angle but too much angle just makes me uncomfortable, before I make a purchase I would be interested in your thoughts, would this be a ball you would recommend for a player like myself? and also, could you recommend a layout? my stats are 60 degrees of rotation and 17 degrees of axis tilt, pap 4 15/16 over 15/16 up

    • @BkbowlingTips
      @BkbowlingTips  Před 5 měsíci

      Thanks so much for your question and I’ll do my best to help!! First want to say the hardest thing to do is recommend layouts without being present…so finding a certified pro shop professional is always your best bet. I can say in my area, I have seen several bowlers in the “category” of what you speak “lower speed, rev rate in that 250 to 300 range, kind of medium to dry lane conditions that have absolutely loved the Blue Coral Venom. It’s an asym core (but a “smaller” diff asym) which gives you a “more stronger” reaction then a similar symmetrical…however you won’t have to move too far left but give you enough to help carry out the corners going more up the lane. The cover is a hybrid so you can tune easily to be early (add surface) or more skid snap (less surface/polish) after drilling.
      Note that these “smaller” asym are really the way we used to take symmetrical cores in this Diff range and putting in lower weight holes to create shape! Taking a shot at a possible drilling (note I haven’t seen you bowl or completely understand your environment) I would say something like 50x4.25x35. The VAL angle (the last number) might be the most important to you for shape and that’s where a local pro shop can help you. But drilling is only a % of ball reaction, surface is always the most important so keep that in mind!!!
      Let me know if you have any more questions and how it goes!!! I know you will love this ball!!!!

      @@BkbowlingTips thanks for the reply Steve, I really want to do my homework on the next pice of equipment I purchase. No one likes buying a ball that they think is the perfect match only to be disappointed after throwing it and then realizing it's not exactly good for their style of play .

      @BkbowlingTips  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for your question! I feel the shock is sooner and more continuous compared to the Blue Coral all things being equal. The asymmetrical core with the hybrid cover is the different maker for sure.

      @BkbowlingTips  Před 2 lety +1

      One of the things I love about the Blue Coral is that it’s an asymmetrical core. This allowed for more drilling options and thus more/different shapes. I drilled a short pin to PAP Blue Coral for fresh flat sport patterns and love the roll I get!!!

    me and my dad both have the ball pre-ordered. How much different is it than the fatal venom?

    • @BkbowlingTips
      @BkbowlingTips  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for your question!! The Fatal (all things being equal) will get down the lane easier. So the Blue Coral will be able to pick up a little sooner and have a little more continuous motion vs. the Fatal. I feel the symmetrical core of the Fatal will give you more overall strength and shape!!! Let me know how it rolls when you get drilled!!!

      Welcome and thanks for the questions. Yes, the Blue Coral Venom is a great ball when starting out. It fits “in the middle” of the ball chart and a great benchmark ball. It can handle many environments (more oil, less oil) and I ball I can recommend to someone just starting out. Let me know how it goes!
