  • The Bürstner Lyseo 644G motorhome is unique, it has a layout I have never seen before. There is a large rear lounge with a drop down bed. Burstner has done the 644G for a number of years and in previous incarnations you can see it on this channel, however the 2021 version is really thinking outside of the box!
    Enough of my opinions, what do you think?
    I live in a motorhome and travel around Europe in it. I spend most of my time in Poland, Germany and Italy. Vanlife is my life. In my CZcams channel, I present the places I have been to, pieces of information related to vanlife and reviews of recreational vehicles. Here you will find campervans and motorhomes from various companies including Hobby, Hymer, Carthago, Westfalia, Clever Vans, Pössl, Bürstner, Niesmann Bischoff, Reisemobil Manufaktur, Trigano, Challenger, EuraMobil, Laika, Forster, Mobilvetta Design, Affinity, Globe Traveller, Benimar, Roller Team, Adria, Tourne, Megamobil, VW, Mercedes, CS, Renault, Ford, Fiat, Carado, Sunlight, Baileys, Chausson, Balcamp, Knaus, Weinsberg, Robeta and others.

    Loving that thing at the back . . . A perfect Day Bed . . Then turns into a perfect sleeping area for anyone with young children . . You don’t have to dismantle anything to eat, sleep, sit, or lounge . . Beautiful neutral colours . . Just perfect 🤩

    I love the layout in the front with the separate shower and toilet - love it! (yes, a bit higher shower floor would be good. I do like love the round seating area. I guess we would not use it so much with just the two of us. So I would dig a bigger stationary bed in the back and a smaller seating area (on each side and open in back), with easy access to the bed. Could be cool with a drop down single bed. Or you just make up the seating area into a bed if needed. Overall...brilliant layout. Love the fridge!! And the gas stove top with 3 burners. Fab. And the storage space, clothing area and the storage in the floor!

    I agree with other commenters. This is a much more roomy design, with better sight-lines too. Kudos for your attempt at the sleeping arrangements. It appears that, under careful conditions, there can be 2 adults on the dining table (so to speak), 2 adults or 3 children on the canopy drop-down, and one more child in the rumble seat bed---or perhaps a beloved Golden Retriever on the rear bed, as long as the dog knew how to get down without launching into the kitchen at 5 feet in the air. Strategic canopy placement ought to allow for egress of the dog from the rear bed by romping over the parents slumbering on the dining table. Should this caravan be for less than a party of 5+1 (such as yourself), the variety and ambience of sleeping arrangements are practically unlimited!

    Thanks Alan, Very interesting! Like you, I was excited about the rear lounge/garage, seems like the perfect set up. If I was a single lady with a dog and a bicycle I’d be thrilled with this, and wouldn’t need the drop down bed, perhaps that would give more weight for things like ebikes, which are about 23kg each 😜

    Hymer had a vehicle with a similar Layout with the garage and sitting area and bathroom. But the bed lift down over the driver seat. We tested it 3 years ago for a trip around Sweden. I found the bed system first really cool, but we couldn’t leave the ladder plus bedding on top. So you need to put down every day your bedding beforsten lifting up your bed.

    Put your camera down and sort that bed out properly, we will wait. You haven’t done that bed set up justice. Perhaps the “bed extension” towards the back tilts up to become the bed head? Who knows? You usually do satisfactory walk throughs but this was a bit disjointed. I think it is a good layout/idea. This would be on my wish list. Cheers👍

    Thanks Alan. I prefer the 680G. The face to face lounge just behind driver's seat means that the front seats can be used as part of the lounge area. With this one it feels a bit cut off. Maybe a question of taste. If this were built on the Crafter MAN 4x4 or a sprinter 4x4 we'd already have one on order 😅

  • @1Haitchjay
    @1Haitchjay Před 3 lety +3

    In theory, love the design of the bed as means you can sleep lengthways. Not sure how practical it would be in use though. As much as I like being able to shut off the cab, it becomes wasted space once you’ve arrived. Being able to turn the seats and use them has always been a draw for me. However, this design has certainly got me thinking.

    I like the novel layout but I’m not a fan of a rear lounge. If you are going to have one then I’d personally prefer the bed to be able to be lowered without having to move all the cushions first. Not sure what the child size bed in the back was about, other than the creation of a garage but with the rear window sited like it was it made me think of the red light district in Amsterdam, but for kids! Eeeeek! 😱😱

    Think this layout if great. Definitely needs a deeper shower tray. Option to turn bathroom into a large(r) separate room works really well. Assuming bed can be fixed in a position so that cushions can remain ‘unscattered’ then with the garage ticks many boxes. Still think Hymer 534 with the motorised rear seat was probably the best layout for a small Motorhome.

  • @DJEuphoria24
    @DJEuphoria24 Před 3 lety +3

    Why doesn’t the US have any sort of Elevated bed lift. They don’t have beds in the from on the ceiling that electronically lift up and down. Like I’ve seen on your channel or in the back on other types. Ours are all complicated small B Vans with no Space Small bathrooms. This would Kill it in the US Market with a Double bed bunk with the Table converted to a Bed.

We have elec bikes so need a garage and as caravan owners we really can't get along with just swivelling your captains chair around or sitting upright on a dinette type seat in the evening. @@VanlifewithAlan I'm in Kentucky. She had a very interesting story. Our dog warden spent weeks trying to trap her. He finally got her and at the shelter, she stayed huddled in the corner of her run. She would not make eye contact. We put her in foster but she was not thriving. I had rehabed several feral dogs and had a wild-caught Carolina dog and a bred Carolina so I took her on. I thought at that time she was a Carolina dog mixed with something based on her primitive behaviors. A friend of mine that researched primitive dogs and pariah dogs saw her pics and said that is a NGSD! She hooked me up with an expert who confirmed she was indeed a NGSD. I was blown away. How did she wind up at the lake in Kentucky? We learned there was a breeder in Ohio so our best guess was she got away from someone that could not handle her. There were only about 200 of these dogs in the states at that time. Ezzy showed no aggression to my dogs. She was much better with other dogs than she was with people. She often looked at me like I had 5 heads. LOL! She was extremely intelligent and had problem-solving skills. She would compartmentalize. Inside was mine, outside was hers. If she saw a cat outside, she would kill it in seconds flat. But she never once bothered my house cats. I never got to touch her when she was outside, not even beep her nose. Inside I could handle her, bathe her, cut her nails. She would go out either door but would only come back inside through the back door. She took me on such a journey of wonder, sometimes frustration, and education. She was indeed challenging and could be difficult but I would do it all over again. She was very unique and very loved. I am so sorry you are facing a sad situation. It is never easy.

I'm surprised the manufacturers don't show more interest because you do have quite a few followers :-) I wish you a blessed Christmas.

      @@tedthorngren I can't explain it either, however there are places that go well out of their way to be accommodating too such as where I am now (lent me an office)! The most difficult is at the trade fairs - and that is where most of my filming is done.

      Alan, they want you to get one of the Bond girls to be your assistant.

      @@discotex11 I am now thinking which one I would prefer. I think for class it would have to be Maud Adams - probably Roger Moore's favourite. For looks I would go with Tanya Roberts or maybe that Italian lady who was in From Russia with Love. My mother worked with Eunice Gayson - the only lady to have been a Bond girl twice in the same role!

    That bed is so small, a taller person wouldn't fit in it
