  • Casablanca Stealth 54" ceiling fan in snow white, utilizing the Advan•Touch control system. I did not show full range light dimming, but the Safe Exit feature displays practically the same thing. Otherwise everything is shown other than the Security feature because that takes a number of hours to cycle through. These are very neat fans, and this is my first experience with Advan•Touch. I like Inteli•Touch better, but AT is nothing terrible.

    I like the editorial effect of the remote and the thumb coming into the foreground from the side of the video. I vote for some talking or more queue cards in the next video.

      I like to show the remote to indicate speed change, with as little editing as possible. 😅 Some would probably record b-roll and overlay it. Too much work. 😛 Despite much back and forth on the topic over the past decade, I don't speak in any of my demonstration videos. It's just what I prefer to watch, so it's also what I create. 🤷‍♂️

    The tips are just part of the look, they look cooler when the blades aren't the same finish as the fan.

    Yes very much so. I really couldn't have asked for a better deal overall to have one of these NIB.

    I have to clarify: it is with IT3. But before IT3, AdvanTouch and InteliTouch were separate systems, which have now been merged. Because AdvanTouch existed before the swap to IT3, my comment was in context to when they were still separate systems.

    InteliTouch is a wall control, AdvanTouch is a handheld remote control.

    It was $250, from a showroom dealer who was selling them pretty cheap on the DT forums.

    Apparently not on the original AT. I'd never paid any attention to the beeps on AT fans until I got mine.

    I have a video of brushed nickel one which spins faster than your white one, but slower than your black one. Any ideas why some Stealth spin faster than others?

    Very impressive Cole. Arent you glad that Art had a couple of these left?

  • @vfandm
    @vfandm  Před 11 lety

    It should be slower, you have no idea how heavy those brackets alone are, not to mention it's already 54". I'd say the speed is pretty impressive for how much weight that XLP has to move, no wonder the flywheels go bad so fast...

    InteliTouch is a remote control and wall control

    The reason i asked that is because if you watch my channel im thinking about this one but i would like it more if it had an intellitouch control

    Hi. Thanks for the video. I have the same fan, but I need a replacement glass shade. Any suggestion where I can purchase one?

    • @vfandm
      @vfandm  Před 5 lety

      I believe this is the only source of any kind of replacement currently. It's not the exact same glass, you will also need to replace the light pan that holds the glass with the one included here: fanmanlighting.com/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=42&idproduct=1103
      It does however look like it may be backordered possibly into the new year. Might be worth checking in with Fan Man to see if they could tell you more.

      @@vfandm You are the man, thank you so much for this info, I been crazy looking around for a replacement glass shade. This gives me hope lol.

    The light buttons no longer seem to work for the wall remote in my new Stealth fan. The fan speeds work fine. How do I get the up and down arrows to respond. Do you actually press the light bulb button in the center? No response when I press the center light button either. Help!

    • @vfandm
      @vfandm  Před 6 lety

      Hi Sharon,
      Based on your description of the light bulb button being in the center, I believe I understand which control you're referring to. Does this look like your control?: www.restaurantbrooks.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/casablanca-wall-control-casablanca-new-platform-universal-wall-control-casablanca-remote-room-decorating-ideas.gif If I recall correctly, the light should come on with a quick press of any of those buttons. I believe you have to press and hold the up or down arrows to adjust the dimming function. I have a fan up on display that uses this control but I rarely adjust its settings so my memory is fuzzy, I could confirm its operation when I'm in my shop again. I'm not entirely sure what's going on here. I believe by this generation of fan the light would be LED? You may have a failed LED module, in which case you'd have to take it up with Casablanca to replace it. I'm trying to think of anything else. I know sometimes those particular control systems can go a little wacky and throw off operation, you could try resetting the control, which I could get you instructions for once I'm sure of what control you have.

    Are you able to convert it to intellitouch?

    Does it have save electricity?

    • @vfandm
      @vfandm  Před 5 lety

      All ceiling fans can save energy when used correctly in conjunction with air conditioning and heating systems.
