    Should you get the Firehawk FX or the PODGO? Well, depends on what matters to you. If it’s price, the Firehawk is better. If it’s sound, they’re both great, but the PODGO is easier and more sonically clear. If it’s running live sound, the Firehawk is more versatile, but its weight and size might make the PODGO a better bet. Overall, I use my PODGO more often now, but I still love and use my Firehawk all the time.

    This is a great video, I love the quick, simple, to the point style. Just got the Firehawk for my dad; I'm glad my ears preferred Board #1. But they both sound great for the price point!

    I purchased the pod go wireless after doing a lot of research. I'm a bassist more than a guitarist but I wanted to start playing guitar more and focus on my tone. In this video I really like the PODGO because of it's crisp and clear sounds

      Compared to Line 6's past lineups, the clarity of the PODGO has actually been so refreshing to play with!

    I have both. Like both. After spending months with the pod, I go with the pod. I run mono straight to front of house at church. Simple. I just keep the hawk as a backup now.

    Firehawk has X3 engine. So it's two generations behind POD GO and it's very obvious in your test. It's definitely worth paying more for POD GO. But sometimes there's a great deal for used X3 and for somebody it can be a great tool for low cost. Nice video, thanks!

      Great point! The big thing is to not let your tools limit your creativity... if you're pining after better tools instead of making music with what you have, ya might want to focus on making something first hah.

    I have a custom built tube amp, and each the FHFX and the Pod Go and for me line 6 gave up on the entire firehawk community waaaay to soon! As the Bluetooth connectivity with a tablet and ability to openly share patches (for free) was a huge bonus....however I am absolutely in love with my Pod Go for playing live and there are some amazing patches available from makers like worship tutorials and Guitar for his glory. End of the day tube amp is king but for a working guitarist you just gotta look at what your personal needs are.

    • @SteadfastAscent
      @SteadfastAscent  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah, I wish they had continued with the bluetooth controls on the PODGO... but the Firehawk's Bluetooth connectivity is also. Questionable? I guess they wanted to go with something more reliable, heh.
      Glad to hear you're finding great sounds for your needs!

    • @SteadfastAscent
      @SteadfastAscent  Před 2 lety

      Hmm. Well, in terms on what amps match well, I've heard good things about the Peavey Bandit, but I'm not well-versed in amps right now. The big thing would be to find an amp that already matches your play style (eg. Fender for cleans, Orange for indie, Marshall for metal) and then adjust the Firehawk to the rig you already have. 🧐

    I used them both....IDK....Line 6 is so up and down with theyre stuff. Ive had ALOT of linr 6 stuff. Hell, i still have an HD150 halfstack and a Helix. My main gigging board in small venues is actually a BOSS ME80. For big shows (county fairs) i actually use my Flextone 2 and thats it! NO additional effects

    Sorry but there is somrthing wrong with your ac30 simulation.. if you're using the firehawk fx in line or direct into your device you have to enable the cab simulation or change the cab you chose but if it is straight into the fx loop of an amp you need to disable the cab simulation... It sounds really bad, really... Sorry. I have the firehawk fx and a Peavey 5150 and the sound here is far way from what you could expect.

      @@SteadfastAscent First thing you can improve your sound is:
      Take a amp and set the drive the best way I can sound, if it sounds good at 5 dont take it at 7 or 8.
      2) is do not add more drive and gain the pedal (overdrive stomp) can give you, better to have two overdirve pedals, and using them as a boost.
      3) The EQ block, is so important when the amp does not give you the sound you want.
      ¿¿ To be practical, Can you give me your Email or something I can send you and you can listen to ?? I ve recorded some guitars with my Old Xt !!
