I think she had a cool and very unique idea, which gave me one! I've been watching a lot of African Grey Parrot content lately (what a bizarre sentence! 😂). I think it could look very cool to color the crown the hair grey (I'm picturing a modern, layered mullet), then add a striking bright red to the bottom back of the head, as an homage to the tail. I think that would look 🔥🔥🔥!!!

I just went copper at home. My hair is dark brown with red undertones so I used high lift light brown and it about the same color as your beard. I love it

The grey looked more purple but I like it.
I can’t tell from here but from the box it looks like she has 050 which is straight up violet additive that you can put in other colors. I used to add it to T18 to get a grey. Definitely is more purple!

When I my roots it usually takes me about 4 hours. I bleach my roots, then I do an Apogee protein treatment which has be dried on the hair then followed with a conditioner, then I tone. I always have my daughter give me trim when I do my do ny roots. I have a natural level 7 hair so I always ending going about 3 months in-between root touch ups. I always take my time and even being platinum blonde for the last 4 years my hair is in great shape. The Apogee protein treatments really are a game changer.
Her hair turned out the way she wanted and looked good.I have had my hair colored auburn, light brown to pale blonde and I loved the colors each and every time. I do not have the guts to color my own hair , so I have always let the pros. do their magic. If I understood the chemistry behind permanent hair dyes, and had really great product I might give it a try;, but for now no way!!!LOL

One common denominator in those who do well with colours is having two mirrors.
Wow Ive never seen this color combination before and am so surprised by how good it came out! I totally agree that the grey near her roots would benefit from a second application for a shadow effect. The yellow shade at the bottom looks perfect the way it is. Definitely not a fail as Hair Bhudda stated emphatically. There is also a nice contrast in the hair texture which I don’t know if it is a result of the different types or brands of hair color but the grey in top half looks very soft and the bottom yellow looks a little more textured- almost grungy (in a good way) which makes for a very unique look overall. She did a great job. Dual hair color applications are NOT easy!

Would have been better with blue and yellow, but that's my opinion. She's right about the yellow though, it looked a bit merky to me, maybe it's just the lighting? ❤

I am gray/silver. But it's not a pretty gray. I want to dye it a pretty silver but don't know if it will work. Any suggestions
