Great episode as always. I’m British and love the original Vacation. One of my favourite comedies of the 80s… which to me is the best decade for comedy

It's so weird. I'm a swede and hearing that y'all not seen half the movies while I managed to see ALL on rental here in the 80's makes me feel... special.

I gotta say, i understand Frank's feelings about Superman III. I'm a big fan of the much hated Batman & Robin. I was a little kid still and loved it when it came out and i still have fun watching it. Vacation is hilarious and among one of my favorites in the series along with Christmas Vacation.

RETURN OF THE JEDI was indeed the highest grossing film of '83. It made $252.5million (it's made even more after several re-releases).
They did make a sequel to War Games. In 2008 "War Games: The Dead Code."

The book is even better because you get a lot from the dogs point of view

Star Wars fan here. I'm in a very small group who likes STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE the most. EMPIRE is a VERY close second. JEDI is and exactly final to the original trilogy and I love it (even the Ewoks, LOVE'EM) but it's my third favorite (obviously).
That’s cool Josh. I was one of the lucky ones who got to see A New Hope on its original release in the UK in 1978. Over the years I’ve come to love Empire more as a movie but my memories are all rooted in seeing Hope on the big screen at 5 years old. Welcome to the channel 👍🏼
@@TSLMoviePodcast I saw STAR WARS in 1977, I was 7yrs old. It made such an impression on me! EVERY birthday and Christmas I asked for STAR WARS toys. I saw EMPIRE on its opening day and it was MIND-BLOWING!! I get why most prefer EMPIRE and it's SUCH a close second for me!!😁 Thanks for your reply, it's always great to hear from someone who was there at the start!!

I Love Scarface Chico so many quotable memorable lines from that movie. Staying Alive is Bad but a campy classic lol. I agree i hate Superman III for a number of reasons the villain sucked and Richard Pryor was awful and comedy from him and the whole movie was cringe also the lack of Margot Kidder being there and instead forcing Lana Lang on us out of Nowhere. Unpopular opinion i would rather watch Superman IV because Gene Hackman is back and Margot Kidder is the co star again as it should be.
