This sermon is such an eye opener for me as one who worked with many, many patients in hospice. I would pleaded with folks to trust and call on the Lord, acknowledge their a sinner, give their lives to the Lord in those lasts months, days, minutes, seconds at the end of their lives…some heard, but some choose to take their chances and some out right refused…those who out right refused the Lord was just plain awful to watch not enough meds would help to comfort these folks, they died a painful death, at least from the earthly side..I wouldn’t want to know what they were facing on the other side.
Friends…nothing in this world is worth your true salvation and your eternal life. Just to let you and everyone know…none of my patients took anything with them..not even their bodies.
May we choose The Lord before our last breath 🙏❤️

Did want to add - I do say born again Christian - for a reason.
When a person tells me they are a Christian - I ask them what they mean. The responses are shocking.
So yes, all true believers are born again, but not all professing Christians are born again.
Sometimes saying born again leads to a conversation - it all depends on if God is softening hearts or not

    Skip:
I hope you, or someone from your Church will see this, because your teachings gathered some questions for me.
    1) Were the Pharisees and Sadducees developed from members of all 12 Tribes, including The Levites? If not, what Tribes did they mainly develop from?
    2) I never thought of this before today, but it would seem that at least The Pharisees put themselves at a higher power point then even The Levites, (with exceptions to The High Priests), in the Jewish Nation. Would that be true? If yes...how did they obtain such a high power, both politically and religiously?

    • @JohnAdams-zh4tz
      @JohnAdams-zh4tz Před měsícem

Pharisees could come from any of the tribes of Israel. There was no specific tribal requirement, as their authority was based more on their knowledge of the Law and their role as teachers (in synagogue) rather than hereditary lineage.
The Sadducees were primarily from the tribe of Levi, specifically the descendants of Aaron, who were eligible for the priesthood. Their position and power were closely tied to their Levitical and Aaronic heritage.
Generally the Sadducees had more power - Pharisees were out amongst people, but Sadducees were in charge of the temple.

Why do so many pastors miss the opportunity to pound the table when verses come up with “in his name”.
His name is Yeshua which means “God saves” NOT works save, money saves, going to church saves, Mary saves, the apostles save, rituals save BUT
God saves. - the Bible gives so many clues to redemption and salvation - what other name could Jesus have had on earth.
My experience - 9 out of 10 Christians don’t know what Jesus’ name means.

In other words, the Church teaches that Baptism by water is a medial necessity for salvation. It should also be added that the Church holds that in a case of emergency Baptism by water can be replaced by Baptism of desire or Baptism by blood if certain conditions are met (Ott, 356). Now where does this idea of Baptism as a medial necessity for salvation arise from? The answer, in short, is that the Church bases, in large part, Her teaching on Baptism by water as a medial necessity for salvation, upon John 3:5 - "Amen, amen, I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." In the early centuries of the Church this text was interpreted to mean (1) that Baptism by water is necessary for salvation, and (2) that Baptism by water is regenerative in its effect (i.e., the Sacrament of Baptism communicates to the baptized, through grace, a participation in the Divine Life such that the baptized now lives by a supernatural life principle which he, before Baptism, did not possess [Ott, 256]). In this essay I intend to view the manner in which this twofold Johannine meaning of Baptism played itself out in early conciliar and non-conciliar documents."

Was raised RC until walked away at 13. Atheist until 48 and then became a Bible believing born again Christian.
So the RCC is the same church that says you are saved by baptism but can lose that salvation. That it needs to be maintained by works and alms.
The same church that says purgatory is necessary to “work” off your lesser? sins before entering heaven.
The same church that has 1,000’s of shrines to Mary (maybe as many as 10,000+)
Not sure I would buy what they are selling on Baptism.

@@JohnAdams-zh4tz so you grew up post Vatican 2 and the modernists were trying to change the true church of Christ, to compromise their doctrine. Unfortunately, few taught good catechism. I was poorly catecheticalized too, but I refuse to give up on the church Christ made, Eucharist, Mary, miracles, sacraments.
Now good Protestants have been teaching the catechism to Catholics by their own conversions to the true faith.
What a turn of events. And poorly trained Catholics go to prot churches.
The protestant churches have all compromised their doctrines years ago, contraceptions, abortions, divorce and remarry at will, euthanasia, ect, And introduced demonic teachings such as bible alone
      Faith alone
      Jesus alone
      Eternal security
      5 point Calvinism
      OSAS.....
      All lies.
you found a Bible believing church with a coffee maker and pastor bob teaching you reformation truth of baptism in the spirit and eternal security.
You deserve better . Much better. You deserve true Christianity, not some polluted ,contrived religion of grace without sweat.
We have grace but have to become obedient through suffering, so our faith that expresses itself through love is meritorious
Don't for a moment believe you can sin willfully in front of God without loosing his grace enacting in your soul.
I fear for you and the heresies you embraced (all under the guide of relationship, as it we're a novel innovations)

That was a baptism of repentance, to bring the fathers back to their sons.
There was a lot of healing that needed to be done in order for Israel to wake up and see the Advent of the messianic age.
That's why JTB yelled at the Pharisees when he first saw them calling them,
" you brood of vipers "
      So why the accusatory introduction?
Cause even though they had witnessed all of Jerusalem and surrounding areas going out to confess their sins and be baptized into repentance ( undermining the temple sacrifices) the pharisees still kept themselves separate from crowds due to their pride. This comes up again at the stoning of the woman in adultery.
When Jesus washed the feet of his apostles knowing full well Satan had entered into Judas and preyed upon Peter, Jesus still took off his outer garment and washed their feet in a purification ceremony akin to baptism .
Skippy misses John 3:22 where Jesus teaches his apostles how to baptise and in the great commission predicates salvation by water baptism.

    • @Maxgigo
      @Maxgigo Před 2 měsíci

John was baptizing in water before Jesus died and rose again, John represented the literal physical baptism in water and also showing the new way of the spiritual baptism into the living water of Christ. This baptism is the baptism is what you receive when you accept Jesus along with the Holy Spirit. You get water baptized after to represent your salvation and a follower of Christ BECAUSE you are saved, not to BE saved. Those that believe that it’s the water baptism that saves you are saying Jesus alone is not enough and we must add our work (water baptism) to seal the deal. This is works based salvation and it will get you a path straight to hell. One would hear Mathew 7:22-23.

@@Maxgigo that's not what 1 Peter says it's baptism which saves you.
Also mark 16:16 belief and baptism saves you.
And what's even better those who are believers will baptise their entire families into the faith, including children as the Israelites did with circumcision.

    • @wingchun1963
      @wingchun1963 Před 2 měsíci

@@Maxgigo johns baptism was a baptism of repentance which everyone from Jerusalem and the surrounding areas came out to be baptized by him.
This threatened the religious order as no animal sacrifices were required as they are in the temple sacrifices.
Also the Jewish leadership did not consider themselves in need of purification since the Pharisees were the separated ones , which means holy, set apart.
Jesus requires us to be water baptized in spirit and water. This is the original meaning of being born from above. Born again is a common misnomer propagated by the Protestants that believes a born again person is one who is baptized in the holy spirit.
Jesus made his command clear that those who believe in him are to be baptized. It's a two gold requirement for salvation. But that's only the beginning of what's necessary to have eternal life.

The reference of born of water and born of spirit is a reference to the first birth, the birth of the flesh in which a mother's "water breaks", the baby is born out of a womb full of water. The second birth is a spiritual birth. It is to be born of the spiritual water of the Holy Spirit.

The only case I've heard that had merit was the situation when David slept with Bathsheba. They had a child who was sick and this was caused by God because of David's adultery, the child ends up dying and David says in 2 Sam 12:23 "I am going to him, but he will not return to me." People have used this passage to advocate the view that young children do go to Heaven.

So aborted babies young children and other children up to a certain age would end up in heaven because they did not know enough to not believe.
