I've unboxed these and they were awful. It was advertised as "next gen headphones" but in reality it's something that would be in the dollar store by 2020. Good try but needs more work. Very surprised you liked these Lew, ace vid though buddy.

You are absolutely correct, Spotify should make their own earphones like these, I reckon they will sell quite well, considering you can download songs onto your device from the spotify app using Wifi and then listen to your songs without needing an internet connection, could possibly save the need for a sim card.

Right it's like how are you going to send a txt, or any other app that's not supported by the headphones in a pinch. You are better off getting a decent pair of Bluetooth earbuds, or headphones from a brand like Philips or Sony that as long as Bluetooth is a thing, and the battery can hold a charge will work.

Imagine if display was detachable so you don't have to take the headphones off to operate it. OLED screen which is always off while on the headphones = very low battery consumption, detach and it turns into ipod like device

I am a Vinci Pro headphone owner and I suggest you guys not to waste your money on them. First of all, the OS is very buggy. Screen is not touch-sensitive, at times it does not register touches. Voice command only works
I ordered them and loved the sound quality, two days in though and I had a dead pixel line on the screen. Not the greatest quality. Amazing on paper but poor real deal.
I’d avoid buying them at all costs.

This is a amazing idea but I think one great addition would be to make it so that one or both of the screens are detachable. It would allow it to act like a phone and have a place to put it when not using it or something.
Forget about the iPhone and the headphone jack, you have Vinci now.
I helped fund these on kickstarter yet i never received my headphones from them but love the unboxing and review you did.
When I run and work out I hate having my phone because its so bulky (even without the cord). And with premium I can download all of my songs so I don't even need the sim. My phone wont distract me from my workout either. There is definately a need for this. True Genius.

Ive always been concerned by the radiation of cellphones and have come to terms with it being in my pocket between drives to work and such to be fine, but to have a cellphone connected to your head with a direct input to your inner skull for much longer periods of time than you would use a cell phone sounds Ill advised to me. No matter how cool it looks TBH. I like everything minus the 3g network built in.

waste of money, because what if the device stops being supported by Vinci, or the other services built into the headphones, then your just stuck with overpriced Bluetooth headphones that have 16GB Mp3 player, plus 3G data if you don't have unlimited does not last long streaming music from Sound Cloud, or Spotify.

I was thinking now that I've come back to watch this again, that that screen is like a bedroom while you're awake. You never get to use it unless you can't use the headphones, because if you're sleeping you can't use the rest of the house. Smart headset anyone, you put it on horizontally instead of vertically in the screen extends over one or both of your eyes. We have .1 millimeter screens there's just no market for them or something I don't know they're not in the market but we do have them.
What I'm waiting for is a pair like that, except it's all screen and only Bluetooth, with a companion app for your phone.

I have one of each type, and use the 32 GB one for walking my dog. Besides twice the built-in memory, it adds a dedicated high quality DAC, and active noise cancelling. The ANC can be set to normal, noise cancelling, and transparent environmental (or some such - basically it makes it easier to hear what's going on around you). I found the ANC to be all but useless out in the open, as like most ANC there is no wind guard on the pickup mic, but otherwise, I'm more than happy with them.

Its a pretty neat and original idea, but I'm not sure how useful this is for me personally. I don't like to work out with big headphones, and that's the only use case I can imagine myself using these for. Idk, I'd rather pick up some AirPods and call it a day.
I mean, if you have spotify premium, you can download the songs just like on your phone. But here you won't care about how much memory the songs uses, cuz these headphones are just for music. Jesus, this is the perfect headphones!

My Edifier Bluetooth W860NB Noise-cancelling headphones do NOT have a screen but can do a few of those touch features and the battery life is 25+ hours if I don't use the NC feature.

Pretty cool... Tempting. Would be nice for the gym, you could just leave your phone at home. But the size might be an issue.
I'd wait to get these. I got it through the kickstarter run, and they need work. The firmware is still laggy and very unresponsive. The heart-rate monitor doesn't pick up very well, so the function to have the music start/stop while wearing doesn't work smoothly. The bluetooth connection to phone doesn't let you use the other sub services. The sound quality is pretty decent, but the rest of the functions need to be fixed.

How about the Samsung level On, over ear headphones? Will sounds better, also has a touch sensitive side plate so swipe for next/previous track, raise/lower volume and active noise cacelation (optional) because in the real world no one will replace their phone for a slightly fancy pair of headphones

Man, i have the pro version of these, and they're... ok.
the sound quality and comfort is great, so thats a plus.
But battery life is waaaay below advertised, I'm barely getting a day at school of just bluetooth, barely 3 hours if I'm using them without a phone, and they only interact with spotify by choosing playlists (you can voice command it to play songs/artists, but it hasn't recognized any artists i ask and keeps playing taylor swift).
That being said, I payed less than $200 for the pro version through kickstarter, and they do have some great features... But they're just ok.
I wish that it had 2 touchscreens on both the left and right earcup of the headphones so that I will not be confused that where are the touch controls are and for both left and right handed people, plus the visualizers will be on both sides which is also a plus so that you'll be *GUCCI* 😎 when you wear them
