I Tried Following A Simply Nailogical Nail Art Tutorial

- So I saw everyone following each other's makeup tutorials and I wanted to join in, but I decided that I wanted to try something I'd never tried before: NAIL ART. So in this video I tried to follow my friend Simply Nailogical's DIY multi-chrome raindrop nail tutorial and see how it went! We used gel polish, multichrome powder, glossy top coat, and fun rain drop effects!!

EDIT: ALSO, as i said in the video, i didn't have enough lead time to buy the products from online, I only used what I could find in stores in person! So don't use what I use, get the stuff from cristine's links plz! i know cristine doesnt like glue base coats but i had to use what i could buy in person! and it worked fine for the purposes of the video.

Long time watcher, first time commenting. I wanted to say how much this video means to me. A long time I've been extremely self-conscious of my nail shape. Like yours, they can be "snaggly" and I've always been discouraged to grow my nails out or paint them so as to not draw attention to them. But after watching your video it has given me a little confidence because seeing someone who isn't bothered by it at all is very comforting. So, thank you. :')

My nails are snaggy too... The middle nail grow in some other direction 🤣 but i still grow them to almost an inch long ... Dont have to be conscious for something you cant control ... God bless ya ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@iamapotato1419 ive looked everywhere on the internet and there’s no way to permanently fix the “curving in on itself” as saf described it. it makes me so sad because i can shape my nails, i can soak them in water and hold them to try to make the curve go away but it never does. it makes me so depressed. so no it’s not “just file and shape them”.... it’s terrible honestly :(
@@gudematcha my toenails do a similar thing, so I just keep them filed super short. You're right though, it can be embarrassing. Don'tt let it discourage you from painting your nails though, I bet you could rock colourful fingers :)

As someone who does her own nails with gel and uses black nail polish... it is a pain in the ass! Because the black is so pigmented and dark the uv lamp doesn't penetrate through it as it does through a clear polish or a lightet colour so I find myself applying two to three thin coats at a time and it takes SO LONG. Props to Safiya who actually had patience with gel polish ❤🖤

i had issues with the gel not drying as well... i learned after awhile that the black wasn't "no wipe". wiping it made the stickiness go away, which made them feel dry

She said that her name starts to curve under when it gets long, that happens to one of my nails too.
It happens to my middle finger and ring finger nail. It's an iron deficiency, but I kept mine tested for so long, then realised after seeing my aunts nail that it's a genetic defect on my mothers side of the family. My middle finger and ring finger curve towards each other on the hand as do their nails.

i get SO excited when simply does gel polish because i prefer it to regular nail polish. also the gel polish was still kind of “wet” because if you don’t add a no-wipe top coat it’s just tacky, but it is dry!
