Check out Dr Janelle’s online course Real Relief Foundations. www.drjanellesinclair.com/eco....
In this video Dr Janelle Sinclair discusses low dopamine symptoms and what causes low dopamine levels. Dopamine is a "feel-good" or reward giving neurotransmitter, as it's thought to be released in response to pleasurable situations and also stimulates us to seek out that pleasurable activity. Dopamine deficiency symptoms include depression, and poor motivation in life. Other symptoms of dopamine deficiency are discussed in the video.
So that you can learn how to increase dopamine, Dr Janelle looks into causes of low dopamine and discusses the dopamine pathways (from phenylalanine and tyrosine the dopamine precursor). By understanding low dopamine causes, you can increase dopamine and overcome reduced dopamine levels. This includes nutrient deficiencies, insulin imbalance, addiction, and adrenal stress.

I have been prescribed ADHD meds and opioids for chronic pain for years. I'm trying to stop or reduce the dose....but I am afraid I will be swallowed up with the emptiness after I stop taking them b/c my brain has forgotten how to release dopamine. I won't be able to get through it by myself.

      @@DrJanelleSinclair Hello Dr. janelle,
thank ou for your content on CZcams,
this might help me. I´ve already taken 5htp and its nice but also sedating to me.
Then i read that its not only about Serotonin to get happy, dopamine could also play a huge role. The fact that no motivation is a symptom called out to me that this could be my solution for getting better, but also i read about addictions and i was like..."nah i´m not addicted to weed, alcohol, or Drugs..."
But honestly...i watch a lot of YT and i crave sweet food thats why i eat a lot of protein bars and sweeten with sugaralcohol and sweetners to prevent me from getting fat.
So my final Question is, because of all that i want to increase my dopa levels. I´m just not sure which precursor L-Tyrosine or L-Phenylalanin works better.Because L-Phenylalanin is allegedly against cravings but at the same time theres a study published which shows that it kills an enzym which is responsible for fat burning in the gut (shown on mice) but how then can L-Phenylalanin be good especially for cravings? Then LTyrosine is allegedly not as potent for preventing people from cravings.
Both should be good for motivation but as far as i remember, L-Tyrosin has a longer effect? Is that true?
Which one would you take and why?
What do you think is better for me?
(And does the fact that 5htp makes me sedated show that i already have nough serotonin and dont need to take dopa precursor and 5htp?)
Seeing forward to hear from you!

I’ll try to make a long story short. So over the summer I was dealing with some never before symptoms and it was scary shit to feel “fine” but just have absolutely no thrust/burst gear. The most frustrating thing for me were doctors saying it’s mental, which I’ve learned is their way of saying “I don’t have a clue!” I wouldn’t go to the doctors for something mental. I’m “better” now but still not back to 100% full physical faculties. Nowadays 1) I can eat regularly but I don’t get that distinct hunger craving anymore. 2) I can get aroused and get it up but the erections definitely aren’t what they used to, like I don’t have those raging/throbbing erections. 3) after working out after a long layoff I noticed I wasn’t getting that sexy burn feeling you’d normally feel the next day. So clearly whatever helps get those 3 things go in motion is clearly lacking, not being generated, or dare I say that it’s just flat out gone for good. Do those things sound dopamine related?

Can low dopamine cause eye pain like blepharospasm? I have had eye pain off and on since 2013 mostly when the weather changes like when it gets rainy or snowy, and this year I realized that if I eat certain foods like nuts, apples, bananas, berries, that it helps make the pain go away.

    • @d.aardent9382
      @d.aardent9382 Před 2 lety +1

I have had that type of pain also for years. I never really found a solution for it. At times I feel like the pain is right behind my eyes, and can feel all the muscles as pains moving when I turn my eyes different directions and other times I get sharp pain points in my forehead on the right or on the left independently depending on weather pressure changes. I have sinus congestion from allergies though also. Fungi spores and seasonal pollen of different plants.
I have had migraine type headaches also.
I've wanted to have a specialist for brain, endocrine and nervous system ailments but I cant afford it.
So Ive never been tested for any of these brain chemical abnormalities.
I just try different self treating research by changing my diet or taking recommended supplements and herbal meds to see if I can notice a change for the better or worse to figure out if Im following the right track or not.
Nothing so far has really helped my depression and despairing feeling.
I wasnt as bad until the last 5-6 years when we took care of my grandmother and watched her pass away horribly and then my mom and dad over the last two years have had awful health issues and was caregiving for them and I had what I figured was a "nervous breakdown/ nervous -mental exhaustion" I guess but didnt really realize I was that bad and my stress and anxiety and depression over my dad and me not able to work at my business just wrecked my mind.
Hardly sleeping at all for couple years I think made it all worse as I felt like I could hardly function except through sheer willpower of responsibility of helping my parents as they didnt have anyone else.

Regular zinc intake without Copper leads to Dopamine disregulation..zinc causss a Copper a balance or lowered Copper which then causes iron disregulation then iron overload whuch then directly lowers Dopamine .. copper regulates Iron and iron regulates Dopamine...so excess Zinc intake lowers Copper which leads to lower Dopamine...😊

I disagree with about half of your list of symptoms. Low dopamine does NOT cause "a lack of interest in life"!
It divides interest into 'hyperfocus' (being fascinated or even completely obsessed with something of interest) or complete disinterest, (resulting in zero motivation).
Depression results from the anxiety and guilt from being physically unable to motivate oneself to perform actions that do not offer instant reward, or the regret of acting impulsively.
You can DEFINITELY experience pleasure, almost to the extreme.
Much of what you mention can be better understood through the symptom "emotional dysregulation".

    • @treeross
      @treeross Před 2 lety

@@astridjaye6224 often the opposite is more true. ADHD tends to cause frequent uh... misfires of dopamine you could say? (For lack of a better way to phrase it) but it depends on the person.
As someone with specifically a genetic dopamine deficiency it definately causes a lack of interest in life AND can cause you to hyperfocus in some things, though usually things that actually make you process dopamine at a regular or sometimes overindulgent levels. (I.e. video games for the former or drugs for the latter)
But the biggest thing i could reccomend is finding WHERE the deficiency is happening. It could be so many different places. Parkinsons attacks your motor skills, schizophrenia your mental faculties, depression your motivation and sleep, etc. It manifests differently in everyone.

I may have low dopamine. After watching your video about thinkgs to be lab tested for such as Vit 12 deficience, Serotonin deficiency and Dopamine deficiency, I broght these to the attention of my psychiatrist. He said I don't have low Dopamine and that there's no way to test dopamine/serotonin levels in the brain. Maybe that was valid, I don't know; I have a lot to learn. But I take 5-HTP to help me sleep. It is helpful. In another video when addressing someone's comment about needing to combine 5-HTP with Tyrosine, you said it wasn't necessary. But I wonder if it could help me. But I also take SAM-e and I don't know the interaction effects of SAM-e and Tyrosine, as I would need to take them in overlapping fashion as I build up to 1600mg of SAM-e, currently at 1200mg/day. I was on antidepressants but couldn't tolerate their side effects. and while SAM-e is a much more expensive route, I'm not experiencing any of nasty side effects associated with SSRI's or SNRI's. Do you think that SAM-e at the does I'm aiming for, 1600mg/day, is sufficient to restore my dopamine levels even while taking 5-HTP for sleep assistance or should I take Tyrosine also because I take 200mg of 5-HTP, which reduces dopamine levels, to help me sleep? Again many thanks!

Hi my questions about L-tyrosine do they help with bad depression and anxiety, have good concentration also I read that it helps with libido and sexual problems which I get from antidepressants, I've taken some amino acids before can't remember which 1 or 2 it was years ago but they brought me out in acne all over until I stopped and made me sweat bad also gave me anxiety, I'm hoping this one don't as I've read that it does great things, I would love this to do the thing's I mentioned, I will give it ago but hoping for some reply's first, also can anyone tell me the best brand and what MG to take, with or without meals roughly what time to take it, how long you have to take it for before you notice any improvements (I know we are all different but a rough guide) and any side effects, especially if it has libido or skin issues, sweat etc I would love to hear your replies as I would love to ditch horrible antidepressant's, I live in the UK so hopefully somewhere I can buy them from in the UK so the shipping is not so bad, I do actually have some at home the brand is called Supplemented I bought them on impulse they were cheap from Amazon so I don't want to start on a brand that is maybe not great and lose interest if I don't feel much, or maybe they are a decent brand I really don't know I just get confused with it all, can you take it for as long as you like?
    Thanks for your time,
    Regards
