i get the idea he might have done one or two of these before good job they did not speed the video up he gets paid by the hour so thats around 10 done every hour lol

I see when micing up the crank, one seems looser, does that mean crank needs grinding ? Would this require special size big end bearings ?? Great job ! Chris

In this instance I was trying to show that No3 cyl bigend journal diameter was down on standard size and therefore all four journals would need to be reground to suit a new bearing set of at least -010"(0.25mm).In addition No3 con-rod would also need remachining(resizing) or replacing as this was also damaged in the engine failure.I hope this answer your question

I am sure the lad knows what he is doing but its never a good idea to remove more than one rod cap at a time. Especially when they are just plonked down on a bench. Its just too easy to mix them up. I always centre punch dot mark each cap and rod as well.
Those Mini automatic gearboxes were pretty damn clever even if it did mean the engine was very different to a manual engine.
