  • A video showing how to adjust the slackness of the drive chain in Yamaha Fazer fi / Fz v2.0. Please make sure your chain is cleaned and lubed periodically to have a longer chain life.
    Also note that a slacked chain causes a lot of power loss, hence always maintain optimum chain slackness.

    You have to move both adjusters back at the same time before you measure chain slack. As you move the other side back you are taking tension out of the chain.

    We can also adjust the alignment by simply keeping the tyre at equal distance from the both swingarms!

    purpose solved. but video can be short and no music please. We cannot hear you in that music. Also, you need to follow the process to adjust both adjusters at same length and measure slack.

      Too tight chain makes clattery noise when you ride, start to move from stand still.
      Also you get poor fuel efficiency and performance.
      Just do the reverse process of what is shown in the video if you want to loosen up your chain slackness.

    Your video is very detail and nice.and i would like to know if you have any idea about oil in the front disc brake.last evening i saw some oil drip from the front disc brake of my bike after taking my bike for practice .mine is an old fzs 2012 model.please answered at asap

      Check if the bleeding screw is tightened or not. Also check of your fork oil seal is leaking and the oil is dripping.

    Have u ever done tappet tuning of your bike.... ,If u had done already can u make a video of it ...my bike has no tappet noise yet but there is a small noise from engine head and I think valve is quite losse ... if u have any opinion regarding this ....

    Sir iam having fz new one bs4 model i have one problem that when we go to potholes the bike sound very bad because of the chain touch rubber i serviced chain. Then also it making sound.Then i have placed hitlon it is wearing fast what to do for this problem???

      Rahul Biker just check if chain guide (the rubber part) is in good condition or not. If needed replace the chain guide. Adjust the chain a little more so that it doesn't touch swing arm on potholes.

      @@handersonlyngkhoi7270 I would not suggest to test drive without tightening the axel nut. You don't need to tighten it 100% while test drive. Once it's final, then tighten it fully.

      lovely ashwa get it loosened by a local mechanic. Also try spraying WD40.

      Irfan Sofi That's a magnetic switch which senses Neutral .. and displays the N light on the speedometer console.

      May be chain is reaching the end of its service life. Might need a replacement.

    How can we reduce chain noise in FZ.
    I have changed chain and sprocket recently. But after few days, I can see chain sound again. I will clean the chain every 300km and lube it with gear oil.
    Can anyone tell me how I can reduce chain sound.

      Try adjusting the slack and check for wheel alignment. Use silicon based chain lube.

      There can be a little mismatch in the markings, a little here and there would not make much of a difference. If its too confusing, you can use a scale of measuring tape to get correct measurement on both sides.

    sir i also have fazer v2 and i suffering from the chain noise issue in 3 gear slow speed . i observed that you removed the lower fibre part from chain . is that helps to reduce noise ?
    i adjusted chain slacks but after 1 2 weeks noise keep coming

      Your sprockets are gone mostly. It calls for a replacement.

      Its unfortunate how bad the quality of chain is on Fz v2.0. You can also fix Fz v1 chain Sprocket set , it will add a little more top end. Cannot comment on the durability of the chain.
