Nice pistol !! I just picked one up myself yesterday. Absolutely love it!! I had a hard time choosing between the 43x and the 48. But I just love that the 48 is basically a skinny G19. My PPS might collect some dust for a while. 😂😂
I am getting ready to pick up my G48 pistol. I just love how thin it is to carry!! I personally prefer the .45 Lords Caliber as well. I own the Glock G21 G4 and it’s a freaking cannon!! Love that 13+1 .45 capacity but it’s just to bulky & heavy to carry!!!! I subscribed!!!!
The Glock 22 family in 40s&w is great for SHTF as the frame will fire 40 cal, 9mm and 357sig with only a barrel swap. I carry the G27 in 357sig, a G23 in the car 9mm and home defense G22 in 40s&w with a light/laser. All the parts, magazines and slides work the same… just add your favorite barrels, springs and calibers in various lengths/threads etc.
The gun doesn’t need to be a single stack, it has plenty of room to be a double stack/stack and half. Glock just refuses to innovate or drop their shtick so the plastic overmolded 48 magazines are too thick and force it to be a single stack. Fortunately PSA just dropped their new 15 round magazines for the 48/43x that from all reports seem to very reliable. All it took was a little American ingenuity to put this otherwise underwhelming gun back on the map.
Well I’m sorry you don’t approve of the gun. I mean if I want a double stack I could carry my 19, 26, 34, 21, 41. It’s a great single stack gun for good concealment.
@@mikerobinson8734 No sacrifice in reliability necessary. All of my PSA micro dagger magazines have run flawlessly. But I still choose to carry and second magazine anyway. So that’s 31 rounds on you as opposed to the 21 you’d get with the shitty oem mags. Not too bad at all!
@@AJ-gk7bn How many rounds have you ran through those two magazines to call them reliable? 100, 1000? I would consider 1 failure to feed in 1000 rounds unreliable. Personally my life and my loved ones mean more to me than stuffing an extra 5 rounds in a questionable magazine when I can just carry an extra magazine. A reload takes less than 1 second for me. I carry two spares so that’s 31 rounds with no question in reliability. That’s peace of mind that’s priceless. No aftermarket magazines in my carry guns.
Everyone has their preference, but I don't consider my carry pistol a SHTF go-to, even though its a 14 rnd with optic. I no longer carry Glocks, but a G19 size would be the smallest I would have for a SHTF. Just me, but I consider a combat size pistol a go-to for everything other than conceal carry.
SHTF can happen at anytime, so more than likely initially you would be armed with whatever you had at the onset. Then after that I would say situation would dictate what I would carry.
I’m sorry my thumbnail doesn’t meet your rigorous standards. I will try harder in the future to insure I my thumbnail actually displays the firearm for highly respected CZcams Gun experts such as yourself.
Is this a good all-purpose or SHTF EDC for a smaller woman? I shot one this past Saturday and loved it, but I also like the P365XL and P365X. I've heard the P365X and G43X are better for concealment due to the shorter barrel, but I'm unsure. Does it really make that much of a difference?
So for what it is worth Mrs Liberty carries an Angel Blue G48 and a G42. She loves both but Carrie’s each under different circumstances. Her G48 is a purse gun, while the G42 is a IWB carry. I carry the G48 with redot as my off duty EDC gun.

Thank you for the sub. You will love the 48. It’s a great CC platform

9mm and 45 Auto are the most common where I live.

Just carry an extra magazine problem solved and you don’t sacrifice reliability.
