Cardinal Hosius (Catholic, 1524), President of the Council of Trent:
"Were it not that the baptists have been grievously tormented and cut off with the knife during the past twelve hundred years,
they would swarm in greater number than all the Reformers." (Hosius, Letters, Apud Opera, pp. 112, 113.)

Horrifying to learn that the Catholic church withheld the scriptures from ordinary people. And these men who preferred to die in order to stand by the scriptures are veritable heroes no matter which sect they are from for in this way we are united by Christ Jesus in truth regardless of the differences. We are thankful to the anabaptists for their steadfast courage in the face of cruelty by other Christians who followed Luther for it was they, the reformed ones, who were murdering anabaptists for rejecting catholic falsehoods retained by the protestant lutherans, whom today no longer protest but are once again uniting with the antichrist vatican.

I don't know about Lutherans in Germany back times, but Reformed in Switzerland did not murder any anabaptists except their first leader, and Zwingli regretted it, although it wasn't his decision. They were only expelled from the country, which is rather mild for medieval Europe. And at that time, it was right, you can disagree with me, but allowing the anabaptists to serve at that time would have led to an even greater split in Christianity, and it is not known what it would have resulted in

The Catholic Church didn't "withold scriptures from ordinary people", in fact they created translations into english just as protestants did, namely: The Douay Rheims. The ones who withheld scripture are the protestants, who removed books that have been used for 1000+ years by Christians. Baruch, Judith, 1 and 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach, and Tobit. Luther even hated the book of James, and other biblical books and wanted to burn them.

@Anabaptist Apologist well I wouldn't necessarily say that, nor totally disagree with it. I'm Baptist. I consider myself historically connected with those born again in Christ. I'm not IFB, NIFB, or technically Anabaptist. I don't even hold to all of the 7 Baptist distinctives, like 2 offices.... Especially because Ephesians 4:11 seems alone to expound on more than 2.
By the same token not abiding to the residual institution of man based upon a movement of God doesn't mean you're separated from God. In fact the trouble of adhering more to the residual institution based on a movement of God instead of keeping ones eyes on Him seems to plague the Jews before His Coming and the Church as well after it.
So yeah I'm a Baptist, but establishing historicity pales in importance to making sure my foundation is the Anointed One.

There are many churches and different baptists alike believing themselves to be the true church. Yet the Truth revealed, not a single church accepts Him as He really is, no not one. Do not stumble over the letter and remember: the Spirit of the Word, and not the letter, is the Way, Truth and Life as it is written.
Thus says the Lord of His true church:
"Again I say to you, My church has no walls, and is called by no other name except the name The Father has given Me. Its members are of one mind and one spirit, of one love, one flock with one Shepherd, a people set apart who keep The Commandments of The Father and remain faithful to The Son, striving always to walk in My ways. For those who truly know Me dwell in Me, and I in them. For they are Mine, even as I am theirs also - My body, My bride. Therefore woe to any church of men, who claims to be the true church and remnant. Woe, I say to them. For they have placed themselves in the seat of The Father, and therefore remain under God’s judgment. For none walk according to the Truth, not one accepts Me as I truly am; all have gone astray, teaching as doctrine the commandments of men. Beloved, no one can come to Me, unless The Father who sent Me draws them to Me. And only those who accept Me as I truly am are of My body, for The Truth resides within them and is revealed by their works. Yes, even these stumble in their walk, for they are but flesh. Yet I am He who searches the Hearts and minds, I know My own; I know whose love is steadfast, Whose faith is unmoving... And this is the True Church My people long for, the remnant Which now is and is yet to come... For it is not found outwardly in the world, But inwardly, in the temple of God... I am The Lord."
Says He whose name is YAHUSHUA-YAHUWAH. From His Volumes of Truth, the Word of the Lord spoken to this generation!
Thus says The Lord, concerning baptism: "Let My beloved first be baptized in spirit and in truth, filled with the knowledge of The Holy, nourished by the Word of Truth. Let them come to Me in sincere repentance, and receive forgiveness of sins in The Messiah’s name... All burdens lifted, immersed and purified in The Spirit of God. For The Holy One of Israel is He who baptizes with The Holy Spirit and with fire, and He knows His own.
Therefore, hear and understand: The Water of Life is not of the earth. Rather The Water of Life is that which flows from the body of Messiah. For in Him alone shall one know salvation and receive everlasting life. Therefore be baptized in the knowledge and wisdom of The Beloved. Listen to Him and walk in His ways, and you shall surely be accepted.
Tell Me, is the water of the earth able to take away your sins, or cleanse you of your transgressions? Can a river lead you to salvation or a stream call you to repentance? In what waters have you heard The Word of God speak? Thus baptism by water can not save you.
Rather salvation comes by the hearing of The Gospel,
And through the confession of the mouth that YahuShua,
Called Jesus, is Lord, believing HE IS WHO HE IS...
    The Risen One...
The Only Way, The Only Truth, The Only Life...
For only by true repentance, in accord with the heart’s desire
To be in union with The Messiah, shall one be set free.
So then go forth, and be baptized in the waters of the earth, if you so desire. Yet remember this: Baptism in and of itself is nothing, unless the heart of the one being immersed has truly been converted. Thus baptism is for a testimony, an exercise in faith for the one who is saved already; or a mere dampening of the clothes of the one who came forth in pretense. For I am The Lord, I search the hearts and minds, and I know whether or not one has truly been converted in their heart."
Remember what you have heard, honor with mouth is nothing unless the heart has confessed YahuShua is who He is. Let it be your joy! There is one confession He is very pleased in, behold it shall be revealed to you.
For thus has the Lord spoken through one of the 144 000:
"There is one God and Father, one Lord who causes to be - YAHUWAH. There is one Savior, The Only Begotten of The Father, by whom all things consist - YAHUSHUA. And they are ONE.
If then there is only one Lord, one God and one Savior, and in our language He is called “Lord” and “God”, then would not calling anyone or anything else “Lord” or “God”, whether a false god or a man, be blasphemy?
Does not The Lord Himself search our hearts and minds, even our innermost thoughts and intentions? Does He not know who we are referring to, when we say “Jesus[1] is Lord”? Even throughout the world, believers and unbelievers alike know the name “Jesus” (a name given to YahuShua by men) refers to He who was crucified and rose from the dead. And if we say YAHUSHUA is YAHUWAH, is this not also self-evident?
Even before the earth was made, there is ONE alone who was and is and has always been THE LORD ABSOLUTE, which by definition demands there can be only one. Thus all others, whether man, false deity or carved image, referred to as “Lord” in English or in any other language, are false! - Deceivers! Impostors! Idols! - To call any of these “Lord” is blasphemy, even on the highest order!
For thus has The Lord spoken:
    One God...
One Son, The Only Way to The Father...
    One Truth, One Word, One Messiah, One Spirit;
One Food, One Bread and One Drink...
    One Body...
    Of which I am all,
    The All in All."
If you so choose, receive brothers and sisters! Freely i was given, freely receive. Receive also this warning, for the great and terrible day draws near:
"My servants, to warn your brothers and sisters,
Even to your neighbors and countrymen,
Whether they will hear or whether
    They will forbear, is LOVE...
For only an evil man would fail to warn his fellows,
When he had knowledge of coming calamity...
And only a wicked man meet for death would save himself,
While forsaking those nearby to the sword...
    Says The Lord."
And He most certainly takes no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked as it is written, nor is there everlasting torment as taught by the churches of men.

Mankind cannot find its way to God without an active pastor sent by God. (Noah, Moses, David, Jesus and so on)
Any pastors chosen by men is flawed and strays from the Word.

Reading the books of the New Testament, we probably asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years?
The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. In this world, the great fertility of atheism can be explained by the fact that there is no main opponent of critics of the Bible - the Church. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist.
Find *"The Mystery about the Church of Christ"* video on CZcams, which shows the real causes of Christian sects and atheism. The video reveals a prophecy about the disappearance and reappearance of the Church of Christ before the end of the world. The first thing I would say in response to your video is, Martin Luther did not form a man-made religion. He wasn't trying to start anything new on his own. He did not want to leave the Catholic church, in which he was a monk. He wanted to reform it and root out the corruption, but they excommunicated him for his efforts. His followers, who appreciated his efforts, started the new movement. He never intended for any religion to be named after himself.
Secondly, I know personally for a fact that up until about 30 years ago, there were many, many Holy Spirit baptisms, as well as much healing and deliverance. No, it may not be so much that way now, but it is still there in a few places, and some is very obviously there.
The Jesuits were formed to destroy Protestantism. They infiltrated every denomination and sect in order to accomplish this, and it took them centuries to do so, but their work was complete by the inauguration date of Ronald Reagan. They made a prediction which came true in 1980, and that's when the church started going downhill.
I think we may be looking at something no one has ever said much about, and few have figured out what may really be taking place since the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.

@@doriesse824 What can we know about the Church of Christ? What was she like? We know about the Church of Christ only what is known from the books of the New Testament. We do not know of any other Church of Christ outside the New Testament. What was the Church of Christ in the books of the New Testament? Certainly not symbolic and not invisible, but a strictly hierarchical organization consisting of believers baptized with the Holy Spirit, where the Gifts of the Holy Spirit were manifested.
As written: *"Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues."* (1 Corinthians 12:27-28).
This was the Church of Christ in the first century, but for 2000 years we no longer see such a Church of Christ, there are no Apostles, no prophets, no one has miraculous powers and gifts of healing. But we see gatherings of people headed only by teachers speaking in the name of Christ, but not having the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said: *"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.*
*So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following..."* (Mark 16:15-20).
I would like to draw your attention to these words: *"the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following".*
that is, miracles reinforce the word of God and they are important for the preaching of the teachings of Jesus.
For 2000 years, including our time, we have not seen any believers who have accompanied or are accompanying these signs. But in the books of the New Testament we read that in the first century, believers performed many miracles.
As written: *“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people”* (Acts 6:8).
*“Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them”* (Acts 15:12).
*"Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city"* (Acts 8:5-8).
Where are Stephanes, Barnabas, Pauls in our time? Where is Philip, who brings great joy to the cities?
In which church do the blind gain sight? Where are the lame and bedridden jumping for the joy of being healed? Where are demons cast out? Where are the dead raised? Where are the Prophets? Where do they lay hands on the sick and get rid of sickness? Such miracles are not performed in any church, anywhere in the world.
Jesus said: *“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”* (John 14:12).
But where are these believers now doing the works of Jesus and even more than Jesus himself did?
The Church of Christ was destroyed in the first century and for 2000 years false churches appear that claim to be the Church of Christ but do not have the testimony of God, that is, miracles. It was by miracles that God testified about the Church of Christ, just as he testified about Jesus.
As written: *“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:”* (Acts 2:22).
God testified about Jesus, and then about the Church of Christ by miracles. But the Church of Christ was destroyed in the same way as Christ was killed in due time, and therefore the signs and wonders that accompanied the Church ceased, and now She has been buried for 2000 years, but will rise in the last days as Jesus rose again.
The prophecy of the death and resurrection of the Church is present in the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).
"Revelation" also prophesies about the emergence of the Church: *“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”* (Revelation 12:1).
The emergence of the Church will just be a great sign of the imminent Coming of Christ.

@@jimmydean123123 You write: *"But there are churchs of christ."* - The apostle Paul writes: *"And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues"* (1 Corinthians 12:28).
If you claim that there is a church of Christ in our time, then that church must have first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Show me such a Church and I will believe that the Church of Christ exists in our day.
You write: *"If you believe that miracles need to exist then you, I and everyone else is going to hell because you have no miracles to testify."* - Jesus said: *"If ye love me, keep my commands. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you"* (John 14:15-17).
Hence the conclusion: he who keeps the commandments receives the Holy Spirit and through him the gifts of the Holy Spirit are manifested.
Cause and effect relationship: If you keep the commandments, you receive the Holy Spirit and you do miracles, such were the believers in the first century.
If you don't keep the commandments, you don't get the Holy Spirit and you can't do miracles. Such are the pseudo-believers, and there are more than two billion of them.
      It's very simple.
I am in sin and therefore not baptized with the Holy Spirit. But I confess this, unlike many who claim to be followers of Christ, but who do not keep His commandments and justify their sins.
If the Church does not appear, we will all perish. But I believe it will rise again soon, just as Jesus was resurrected.

I would be very wearly of anyone calling themselves Anabaptist today, in the same way I am of an organization that calls itself The Catholic Church. What you call yourself has little to do with what you actually believe. Anyone can call themselves anything. So many movements change to much. One decade one group is good than the next they fall into apostasy.

Ya know....You say that Ana-Baptist doesn't mean 're-baptized," but the word "Ana" in Greek means "again" or "re." Some argue that 'Ana" means "against" or "re." Which is it? Edward Wightman (Encyclopedia) was an Ana-Baptist and the last man burned at the stake in England by King James, and there are some that believe that Ana-Baptist was shortened to plain Baptist. They also say that there is no link between Ana-Baptist and Baptists here in The United States, yet Roger Williams's great grand daughter, Susannah Holmes, married Reverend Valentine Wightman (Baptist Encyclopedia), brother of Reverend George Wightman. They were both descendants of Edward Wightman. Of course, Roger Williams did come out with The Separation of Church & State here in The United States according to The Smithsonian. Of course, The Baptist Church was supposed to be simple. A Pastor, Senior Pastor, and perhaps a Reverend. No hierarchy like The Roman Catholic Church founded by Constantine The Great in the early 300s A.D.E. or C.E. Of course, Baptists are basically Christians, and Baptists existed since Jesus's time like John The Baptist, a Jew that converted to Christianity. Also, there are some that believe that Constantine The Great, who refused to become baptized up until before his deathbed, didn't usher in The Rise of Christianity but instead set out to infiltrate The Rise of Christianity. Of course, Rome did persecute Christians before Constantine The Great founded The Roman Catholic Church. Rome also destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D.E. or C.E.. Oh....I'm looking into The Reformation, and there were many denominations trying to distance themselves from The Roman Catholic Church who were becoming more tyrannical in nature. Of course, Roger Williams, The Founder of Rhode Island & founder of The 1st Baptist Church was labeled as a Puritan that came to America in 1630, 10 years after Puritans crossed on The Mayflower who were also called "Separatists." I'm a direct descendant of Reverend George Wightman, and I started looking into these things. Of course, Trump is trying to do away with The Separation of Church and State that transcended down into our 1st Amendment. I also believe that The British Royals used The Jewish Rothschild Banking Barons to take control of The United States. I can provide information on why I believe that from the things I've been researching into.

No where in Scripture, especially in the Epistles, is it the teaching of God the Holy Spirit to baptize infants, nor does it make any sense. It is only new wine in old wineskins for continuing circumcision that was for all Jews by decent. New Testament New Covenant teaching is, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be baptized - symbolizing going from death to life. I was infant baptized and it never meant a thing to me growing up, because I never saw it in the Bible. It was not until God truly saved me did I become outwardly baptized symbolizing my baptism in Christ.
