The narrator sounds like the narrator in Stanley Parable
Imagine Luther having to decide if he wants to nail his pamphlete on the right or the left door.
"Luuuther!", the narrator cried, "that kills people!"
And then coming to a set of two open doors, Luther took the one that lead to the division of the Catholic Church....

THATS A LOT OF DAMAGE!
Catholic Chruch: This is madness!
Luther: Madness? THIS. IS. REFORMATION!!!!
This is well-made and educational. It's a light-hearted introduction to the Martin Luther and the Reformation, and if it encourages people to find out more than this short film has done a brilliant job.

As I am interested in learning more, can you provide some information (links, videos, etc.) on this subject?
More like Martin Luther the Anti-Jew and the Protestant Heretical Schism
First they'd have to fact check this video. Starting with the fact he didnt post the theses on the door. While it acted as a bulletin board yes it was only an announcement posted of his presentation, of the theses. He also didnt split Catholics and protestants. Henry the 8th did that. Sigh I weep at all the inaccuracies
The new Rayman game looks dope!
THESE COMMENTS.. MY TEACHER ASSIGNED THIS TO ME SO GLAD I CAME THESE COMMENTS ARE A BOP
woahhhhhhh
it's amazing how different humans looked just 2000 years ago.
evolution's amazing
wanted to fix the Church he knew but instead spilt the Church in two. That about sums it up. Then the protestant part just kept splitting and splitting and splitting
Well, at least he had done one of the things that were required to finally end Middle Ages in Europe. Put a start to a very important process. English Reformation shortly after was the final coffin to that period.
The other side of the coffin however was nailed by italian merchants.
If not for him, we'd both be peasants working the land to this day.
That and the fact that unfortunately in some of those splits some isolationist, harmful and even dangerous cults have appeared even to this day :(
@@IsAcRafT what's unfortunate in them being examples of people's faith and organised religious institutions being not the same thing and that fanatics are dangerous no matter the faith?
@@TheArklyte Had to read your comment thrice; you're right but he's not wrong though. You are just... focusing on a much greater picture.
And splitting and splitting and splitting and splitting and splitting and splitting and splitting and splitting and splitting and splitting and splitting and splitting.
What a great video! Does a great job of recapping the Reformation. Wish there were more animated history videos like this.
Martin Luther when the church split: this is getting out of hand, now there are two of them!

This is amazing! I love the animation and the voice over! ❤️
Wow, I love this style of animating! I was assigned this in my class but it was so fun to watch thanks for making great videos
He’s the sole reason on why Christianity split into thousands of denominations.
I'd love to see more of these. All I studied at school about him falls waaaay behind what I just learned here.
So luter caused a butterfly effect 4:00

Yes. But everything causes a butterfly effect. This CZcams comment causes a butterfly effect.
I love this! Thank you for a precise kid friendly (short) informative video!
Very nice, please continue with John Calvin and the other reformers.
@@tristanband4003 He had a serious mission - to oppose the Platonic philosophy taught by the Latin church for some 1500 years with the power of God for salvation to every one with faith, ie the Gospel (Romans 1:16)
Zwingli would be amazing, he was so arrogant, I think he'd be fun to animate
Just discovered this. It is an excellent teaching resource! Thank you.
This video is actually a secret brainwashing tactic to encourage people to buy Little Caesar’s. Hence the character designs.
*PIZZA PIZZA*
ok, ok, in all honesty, this video is really informative and the animation is good!
u only added that last bit cuz youtube would take down your comment because you're correct
This is so awesome! Cool graphics!
who else is here because there teacher assigned this for your class. :(
Wow no mention at ALL of what the Luther's Reformation was REALLY about (salvation by faith vs works)?
The dispute about indulgences was merely the gateway that led Luther into the argument of salvation by faith. I guess I can't expect a secular institution to talk about that...
Nobody:
Martin luther: nails his 95 theses to a church door
Pope: pulls out uno reverse card
thank you, this is very educational yet super entertaining at the same time
Came for the reformation, stayed for the animation.
More of this please.
This is so awesome!
I love the art style. Would like to see more.
That was brilliant! The nose placement was the only thing that caught my attention as a little strange, but it's cute. Thanks for sharing it!
In Luther's defense, he genuinely wanted to teach Biblical doctrines - he wouldnt have called himself "rebellious"
I loved it. Do more. I hadn't picked up on the trouble caused by Luther translating the Bible into a language regular people could read.
Luther happened to live in the age when the printing press was invented. It’s helpful to realize that the vast majority of people were illiterate in medieval times and before. That’s why pictures were painted on the walls of churches and stained glass windows served the same purpose. The only Bible that existed, pre-Heidelberg, was a hand written manuscript that was worth lots of money.
Yeah, that’s Lutheran propaganda. Don’t believe the lies, do your research.
love the animations XD He looks likes little ceasers guy, great video!
Using in public high school world history class today, thank you!
I literally just watched this in history class and then this popped up in my recommendation
Nice fanfiction of history. For a more accurate portrayal of history see Joe Heschmeyer's "8 myths about Martin Luther and the reformation".
An amazing find! Now part of my curriculum
Very well made. Wish there were more!
Please more!!!

My brother laughed at the noses we love that video awesome we gave it a big Thumbs up👍❤️
Just a quick addendum. Vernacular versions of the bible were made throughout the pre-medieval period and medieval period. Luther's German translation was not the first vernacular bible.
There were actually 18 German translations of the Bible. Fourteen were written in High German and four were written in Low German.
This was actually very educative and funny at the Same time! 😀
About as educational as anything from PBS or the modern History Channel are, anyways. Grossly oversimplified, egregious errors, and quite a bit of context left on the cutting room floor.
Loved it..
Orthodox eating popcorn watching this: "Yeah, how does it feel now Catholics? Now you're the one who gets split!"
Love this kind of this animation!
i was not in school for 2 weeks and this helped thanksss
I learnt about Martin Luther and the reformation from the concept album by Neal Morse called 'The Door'
i love it...so simple but so good and clear
This video presents knowledge in a simple way. I like the silliness too.
This is beautifully made. They forgot to mention that thanks to the printing press people were able to actually buy a Bible for themselves
It is a myth that Luther nailed his Thesis to any door.
The best way to teach something. Super entertaining!
So impressive and knowlege giver waiting for more videos.. i really love this Channel😊😊
''and then stanley went up to god asking him why does this guy sound like my voice actor''
Fascinating, thank you for posting.
I play a lot of EU4 and have never been so intrigued by the reformation besides the massive religious wars involving countries like the Ottomans who have no business fighting a religious league war. Well done!
Very well made!
We're all here because our history teacher wanted us to watch this, am i right?

Martin Luther's testimony of finding Jesus is amazing! Please post more of these!! 😀😊
He literally tried to take out 7 books of the Bible to support Sola Fide….

Tuh! Luther didn't actually nailed his theses to the church door. That is one embarrassing mistake. LeL :) Actually he sent it out to his friends and an archbishop.
A most precise explanation indeed.
What an amazing animation!!!

thankyou for this!!!
Delightful animation! 🏆
I like when Catholics smugly say something along the lines of, "you follow the Bible, but who do you think canonized it(implying them)". My response "then why aren't you the first ones to follow it over tradition?"
Jabberwocky, tradition and scripture are both valid. Paul said so when he wrote that the people should listen to their (non biblical) oral teachings. See 2 Thesallonions 2:15.
@@obligatoryusername7239 The phrasing of "spoken words and letter" was just a way of saying everything Paul taught, not referring to the Bible as a whole or church elders as a whole. Church tradition comes from long after Paul's teaching. It's not the same.
uhhh school am i right 😤😪
as a lutheren I can confirm that yes indeed martin Luther looked like the little Ceasars mascot
,fascinating animation!😀❤️👍
I don't think martin would have never intended to split the church
I don't think so either. I'm sure he would have liked the whole Church to follow the Bible rather than much of it sticking with "Catholic" tradition.
Question for all of you guys. Why is there still a protestant religion if there founder never intended to split up the church?
@@nomadiccheese4911 , as it says in the video, people started arguing, things got out of control......
It comes down to people wanting CONTROL over others. Got to love human nature.
It doesn't really matter what he intended tbh. He had a cause and it made an effect. We can't really determine what he was thinking, though I believe he has said on some occasions that he intended for reform rather than the splitting on the church, so you may be right.
I liked the background music. Can anyone tell me what is this music from?
Love it can you make more please?
If only there was some way to controle and direct said argumentative spirit and anger into the constructive activity of reclaiming the holy lands.....
How can I get the beautiful 🎸 music at the intro ?

Nice. Super smooth animation.
Luther actually wanted to change the Church!! He should have succeeded ...But the wrong outcome separated us from catholics and protestants.. Hope we unite again!
Where my Protestants at?
@Knights Templar Christianity and Islam are both from the middle east. Christianity destroyed true European religions.
@Knights Templar It's not. Christianity originated in the Middle East, and was brought to Europe. The original Europeans were PAGAN. Hellenists in Greece. Druids in Ireland/England/Gaul. Norse pagans in Scandinavia. Christianity replaced it all by killing or converting them. They cut off the pagan boys long hair, and forced them to attend Christian schools and hate their ancestors traditions.
