One minor detail I love is when Diane pulls off that impressive leg lift. Wolf then tries it, can't quite replicate it, but converts it into a jazzy hop and twirls Diane around. Nice setup to their teamplay later on, where Diane is by far the most athletic, but Wolf can improvise his own quirky skillset on the spot to compliment her's.
Mr. Snake doesn’t have any f***ing hands, yet he’s still rockin that guitar like a pro, I respect it

things i love about this scene:
-piranha’s first instinct to do something distracting is to sing. iconic
-shark being there at the drums in record time too, meaning he probably had to book it to the stage
-snake pretending to be a drink
-piranha being terrified at first but after a moment of singing being like “oh sh** this is fire” and getting hardcore into the groove
-dianne just straight up flirting with wolf
-wolf and dianne dancing. that’s it.
-on top of that, though, the end of their dancing when she picks him up and twirls him around like he weighs nothing is hilarious to me
-also wolf spinning her so fast she becomes a beyblade at 2:39
-snake doing a thumbs up with his tail
-that one lady that practically swoons when piranha sings in her face
-the poor child that has to hold like 20 bars of gold 😂
-mr. snake playing the guitar with his body is… mighty impressive
-piranha’s VOCALS like DANG!
-the strange conga line snake and shark started

When you think about it, there's so much effort put into this scene.

The guy wasnt made for the Villain life like he thought, that's the smile of a sweetheart
If you pay more attention towards the end, you’ll notice the light Mr. Wolf and Diane are dancing on is in the shape of a heart. Nice detail from the production designers that symbolizes their blossoming romance.

Honestly the best scene of this movie. Also I wanna say how impressive Mr Snake can play the guitar with NO fingers. I love Wolf and Diane's dance and Anthony's performance. It got me dancing

I mean, you have to appreciate the fact that mr piranha literally made up a song on the spot to save mr snake! That is some true confidence!
Piranha was awesome. Not only was he funny but he was so energetic with a fun and adorable personality. 😍😍❤❤❤
Usually random song/dance in kids movies take me out of the film for a bit, but for this movie, it REALLY works. I'm gonna list some reasons why!
1.) they're already at a musical event so the instruments are set up and ready.
2.) Spontaneous actions are a theme in the movie. It thrives on cartoon logic so it fits.
3.) The "LOOOOOOOOK- AT ME!" really sets the mood. Like he needed a distraction RIGHT NOW. and just started winging it XD
4.) It shows off their teamwork when things go wrong and how multitalented they all are XD.
5.) It's just a REALLY good song. I will jam to this number for weeks.
6.) The dancing/ interactions between wolf and Diane are both funny, sweet, in character, and just well done. I love how she takes the initiative and asks him to dance.
7.) How they all set up for the heist is clever XD
8.) It's just a perfect song for the movie. Both in theme and in what they're trying to portray.

It really is a perfect example of how you really don't need to choose between emotional payoffs and logical consistency in your writing, like I see some people advising on CZcams. It might take a bit more work, but you really can have your cake and eat it too if you think about it.

The main thing is that he didn’t just burst into music from nowhere. He HAD to sing.
Usually these Dreamworks dance scenes happen at the end, so it was a nice change of pace.
I also love how you can tell it was a song made by Daniel Pemberton (who worked on Spiderverse) because of all the record scratching.
Finally, an animated movie song that doesn't make me cringe!

Exactly. Usually songs in animated movies repel me like some sort of human pesticide. (Didn't make much sense but you get the point.) But this one just made me bop my head non stop. This song has no business being this good.

I like how they setup that piranha loves to sing throughout the beginning too so this doesn't feel like a random "gotta get the catchy song that kids will sing on repeat" song in there.
Mr. wolf and Diane were dancing were super cute! They all have perfect voices mostly piranha and wolf! Most perfect part of the movie.
I REALLY love Diane's dress with pants, I need it in my life.

This whole scene it's just magical.
It's wholesome, it's fun, it's full of personality and the song fucking slaps. I havent seen this kind of scenes actually done well in a long time.
I love how when I saw the trailers, I thought that Mr. Piranha would be my least favorite of the gang. Ohhh how wrong I was. He turned out to be my absolute fav. Not only cuz he can sing, but his whole character is just so cute and absolutely hilarious and lovable

Literally was surprised by Mr. Piranhas voice lol. Was cringing a bit until he started singing more and the beat kicked in. That's when I started jamming out and was just feeling it.
This scene made me fall more in love with Piranha and Wolf but mostly Piranha given that they used Anthony Ramos' Broadway musical voice to use outside of any project of Lin Manuel-Miranda

I watched this movie a couple of days ago, and I didn’t have that high of expectations tbh. But OMG this movie was really good. The animation style is so charming and beautiful, love Mr. Wolf’s ‘good’ moments, and THIS part was definitely one of my favorite moments from the movie. I was even a bit flustered by Ellen’s (fox lady) dance moves 😳💕 and I’m not even in the furry community XP Also, Anthony Ramos KILLED this part with his amazing voice, I’m so proud of him for getting more love after I first became a fan of him from Hamilton (as John Lauren’s/ Phillip). Basically this was a SLAM DUNK for me 👏✨

Does it ever explain why the main characters are all animals where nobody else is? Like, the style of the movie is lovely and really appealing but I just find it so distracting that unlike something like Sing or Zootopia where it's a world of anthropomorpic animals, or some societal mix of humans and humanoid animals, it's just a normal human society but most of the main story characters are animals? And not even just the main 5 Bad Guys, that might make more sense, having the extra side speaking characters like the guinea pig or fox lady... but then this parole officer woman is a story-included character, why's she a human?

Can we take a minute to look at Diane's outfit? When you first look at it it looks like a flowy dress but if you look closely it's a pantsuit with just a trail at the back. It's meant to give the illusion that it's a dress.
My gosh, the dance choreography and animation in this is EXCEPTIONAL. Honestly, it wins over most of the ACTIONS scenes in my opinion

This movie surprised me, it was actually really really good.
This reminds me so much of that dance level with Sly and Carmelita from Operation Thunderbeak of Sly 2.
Funny enough it is also a heist (though for different reason) with foxy lady🦊.
The only difference is less slow Tango and more quick, energetic and Jazzy👐. Still love both😊
