- How to bezel a 16mm rivoli without covering it too much
Materials used:
16mm Swarovski rivoli;
3mm Swarovski bicones;
Miyuki 15/0 round seedbeads;
Size 10 or 12 beading needle;
4lb or 6lb Fireline thread.
You read my mind with this method of bezeling your rivoli! I have been looking for a way that uses minimal beads to allow the rivoli to shine for itself! Perfect!
Brilliant- I love to watch you bead! You work and designs are fabulous. Thank you for sharing your time and talent.
As usual your methods are EZ to follow and the results are beautiful. following you for years.😊
Still being a great inspiration for me after all these years this video has been on thank you so much
Thank you, Antoinette! ☺️
Thank you very much for your kind words.
I'm on YT since August so don't feel sorry for not finding me before. :)
My boyfriend tells me that my voice is too low and that I should speak louder but when I concentrate on the beading I always forget to keep the voice high. :) So I appreciate very much when you say that I am soft spoken. :))
Big hugs,
Sidonia
Fantastic, the best and the easier way.Today I watched your video and following the instructions I make two pair of earrings and one ring. Thank you, thank you.
So Beautiful. You make it look so simple. Can't wait to try it. I came across your site by accident and I wish I had found you months ago. Simply beautiful work and you are so patient and soft spoken. Great Tutorial.
Thanks a lot Sidonia, I have been working on beading for a couple of months and have really improved with your help.

I think your videos are great! I have no trouble following you at all and can't wait to try this. Thank you so much!
Thank you very much, Connie! :-)
I modified this pattern to fit a 14mm rivoli by using 12 3mm bicones with 12 15/0's in between and only 3 15/0's in the 2nd & 3rd rows if anyone finds this helpful.
IThis is the first time that I watch this kind of earrings..thanks a lot. I so happy to learn with you.

Wonderful! i find the rivolis to be so beautiful it seems a shame to cover them up as much as the other bezels i have done. This is a great method. Thanks so very much for all your efforts and creative ideas.

Swarovski You know how to squeeze if you want to use Rivoli 14 mm?
Your designs are gorgeous, your tutorials are great and I truly appreciate the time and effort you put in for us but I find I can't hear you very well, it sounds like your talking to yourself. Sorry I don't mean to criticise but it gets a bit frustrating
You wouldn't happen to have the bead count for this pattern on a smaller rivoli would you? I'm using a 14mm. I'd be so grateful if you did.
Hi Sidonia, thank you for posting this you tube instruction. I have used it several times now and I am currently trying to reduce the pattern to fit a 12mm rivoli without much luck. I have used the pattern as is and find that its too much to pull in to fit tightly at the back and have also tried reducing the sizing without much luck. Are you able to help me with the correct pattern, please. Thank you in advance for your kind help. Betty
Hello Betty, I have a tutorial for a 12mm rivoli, find it here: czcams.com/video/27V4gAeHjw8/video.html. I hope it's what you're looking for. :)
@@SidoniaPetki Thank you very much Sidonia, I will have a look at it. Kind Regards Betty
hola no encuentro el video como haces la anilla
Hi can you show how to bezel a 14mm rivoli in the same way? Thank you
Σας ευχαριστούμε! :)
Hi Sidonia.
I love your way to bezel very much. Not too much over the stone. Can I use the same technique to bezel a cabochon 13×18 mm? (With 3 mm bicones and 15/0 seedbeads)
Thank you so much in advance.
Love,
Jolanda
Hi and thank you, Jolanda! Yes, you can, you'll just need to figure out yourself how to close/cover the back side, but that shouldn't be too difficult, once you made the row of units around the stone. Just play with the beads, and don't worry if you'll need to make a few attempts, that's exactly how I learned too. :)
Sidonia's Handmade Jewelry
Okay. I will.
Mille grazie.
Vă mulţumesc
Dankjewel.

Hi Sidonia! I have an 27 mm rivoli. What do you think, can I bezel it this way too? Thanks! :)
what size bicones thx
hi sidonia love this bezel how many beads will I need a go around a 14 mm rivoli? are you going to make more videos? have a sparkly day
+Bonnie King Hi Bonnie, it should work with 12 bicones. I will make more videos, but right now I'm working on some projects I would like to teach in workshops, in UK, hopefully. :-)
Have a nice day too!
Thank you!
12 seemed to be
too many. I used 10 and it worked much better.
👍
Maravilhoso 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
guapisimo
Bravissima...
Try to use 12 bicones only. :)
hello sidonia!! love ur work! its beautiful! can u tell e the size of the seed beads and bicons?
Hello and thank you!
The bicones are 3mm and the seeds are 15/0. You can always find the materials list in the description box, under the video, just click show more :).

Excuse if I’m repeating question. Have you tried this on 14mm???
I mean an altered formulation
What size seed beads do you use? I've tried 11/o delicas, 11/o tohos with 15/o and I still can't seem to get it right? What am I doing wrong?
You'll need Miyuki 15/0s. Tohos will not work, because they are a little bit bigger than Miyukis, even if of the same size.
Have you any idea how many bicones I would need for a 30mm x 22mm rivoli please?
I have not tried this technique on this size of cab yet, but, I did bezeled a 30x22 cab; here it is Sidonia's handmade jewelry - 30x22mm Swarovski cabochon ring if you didn't already see it, of course. :-)
also seed beads
esta preciosa
Dear Sidonia do you think I can use this technic to bezel an oval cabochon ? Thank you for your help
Yes, definetely. Take a look at video, it could be helpful: czcams.com/video/fXNkN5T7hIw/video.html
Thank you Sidonia. Yes I watched it a few minutes ago and of course i found it quite appropriate to bezel my oval cabochon. But the technic you used for the round one seemed more interesting to me because it has the advantage to not cover to much the front of the cabochon. And that's just what I want it to be. The cabochon is having nice flowers painted on it. So I'd like the bezel to cover it the least as possible....That's why I wondered if I could use this technic
Maybe I will do a mix of the two technics to have the oval shape bicone ring on the front and the netting at the back
Good idea! :)
❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
what about bead numbers for a 14mm or 18mm rivoli?
Here you can find 14mm and 18mm bezeled rivolis: czcams.com/video/asybQhHEqaA/video.html

How to bezel a 16mm rivoli without covering it too much :)
I have a 12mm Rivoli what can i do with it?
You could try this Sidonia's handmade jewelry - Swarovski flower pendant :-)
Hello, you can find the bead sizes below the video. :)
SHOW........BRASIL
I'm having a difficult time seeing how you loop the bicones :( please go slow for beginners. Thanks.
Ar fi bine sa fie traduse in limba romana
Have my volume high as it will go and you are talking too quietly can and not enunciating clearly, I am having to guess at what you say and keep going back to try and re listen, which is quite frustrating and bothersome!
.....otherwise, I love this project thankyou for sharing
Yes, I can send you, can you send me your mail?
I like this one but.....your explication is not very clear....
I use mostly headphones and I could hear it better
I sent you a private message. :)
your jewelry is gorgeous, but your videos are very hard to follow. You speak very quietly and really don't explain exactly what you are doing. Try checking out some videos by Kelly Dale from OFF THE BEADED PATH.....she is an excellent instructor......I've been trying all day to get this piece figured out....will keep trying ;-) thanks for your beautiful work.
I'm really sorry you are having trouble following the video. I know my voice is low, in fact I'm going to buy my self a microphone.
Which steps you don't understand? Maybe I can help by writing them to you.
I know Kelly, I've learnt a lot from her :-).
Anyway, this was one of my first tutorials ever. I was very shy and afraid of speaking in English because afraid of doing mistakes.
Sidonia's handmade jewelry your English is fine, just couldn't hear.....I just watched the video over and over again until I got it.....I really do love your work.
I'm really happy you got it in the end! :-)
