    WHY does Tasmania, QLD, NSW and the NT no longer have a teams in this comp? This is a sign of a lack of progress.

      Because the talent pool in comparison to the Victorian draft talent to Queensland and New South Wales is huge because they are rugby state and Tasmania and Northern Territory don’t have much development in comparison

      @@acadacs Tasmania were producing far more Footballers in the 70s, 80s and 90s than what they are today. 30 years of neglect from the AFL is why Tasmanian Football has gone into decline. It is also interesting to look at the 1990 NSW and QLD AFL State of Origin Teams I think they are stronger than todays teams. For all the AFL money and Taxpayers money that has been wasted on AFL in QLAND and NSW they have not achieved much.

      Junior Football in Victoria/southern New South Wales Is levels above the rest of country except maybe WA! Even local footy is massive
