When I was a kid back in the early '70s, every school holidays Mum and Dad would pack me, my 3 brothers and Grandma up, hook up the Chesney caravan and head off to Hervey Bay, we'd go fishing off the jetty there, the old man would keep everything we caught, and mum would cook it up, that's the last time I ate shark, remember it was pretty good 😊

Brings back childhood memories of camping at Kingscliff. We'd enjoy takeaway flake'n'chips every Friday night over the summer holidays. It didn't come with lemon or tartare sauce back then though. 👍

I remember going to Clarence seafood on a road trip in the 80s , it was still pretty good then . Yamba is a great spot .

8.5 is a bit of a stretch, especially considering they are part of a co-op. Those chips looked average at best .... seagull food. The 'fish'? Well, I don't know what part of the shark that was from but I've got a good idea. There are other seafood options in Yamba which I consider better.

If I am going to spend over 30 dollars on fish and chips I expect to be sitting down inside and have them plated up with chips and salad not eating them out of a bag outside.The shark did look to be a reasonable portion however .
If you were to have lunch there every day it would be in excess of 210 dollars a week .

I just learnt a cheats way for egg fried rice as my kids were hungry back from the pool. Buy a $1.75 pack of microwave rice from Coles. While that cooks for 90 seconds chuck Ur eggs in a pan, scramble, add the rice and dash of soy sauce. Dinner was done in less then 5 mins and super cheap ay

@@ShaloinMonk2681 well with three hungry mouth to feed it was worth the extra $1 and I didn't have to let the rice cool plus I saved money on the gas bill by microwaving it. My kids loved it so there U go. When the rice packet shelf at Coles is empty the $1.75 packs *2 plus $3.50 for 6 eggs I fed my family of 4 for like $7!!! They enjoyed it. Wow people will moan at anything these days!!!
