G'day Ruby, A Friend of mine visited us on Gold Coast from USA, and I would always pick up a Meat pie after my Early Morning Surf for Breakfast. I got extras for all one day and she was amazed how Amazing they are. She runs a B&B in USA and Aussie meat pies have become a Favorite with her Guests for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. They are Super Easy to make, especially with an in-expensive electric Pie Maker. Hope you try to make them, if you cannot find a good supplier. All the Best. Cheers

@@excessivemenace2611 Lol no, I have family and friends in Brisbane and Gold Coast. Does sound funny the way I wrote it initially aha. But it was awesome, better than most pies in Victoria.
I always stop at the Routleys bakery coming out of Geelong back to Werribee. But that Yatala pie looks awesome too.
@@competitionglen Routley's is probably my favourite in Victoria. Their pastry is usually soft which is the way I like my pies. :)

I used to love the pizza pies I used to get in Toowoomba especially in winter. The curry pies I got in Armidale were brilliant aswell.

I live around the corner from Yatala pies and omg all over their pies are to die for. Also their desserts are so freaking yummy too. Jam and cream donuts apple turnovers all with fresh cream. This place is so so good.

my fav pies at the yatala.. must try the tradie next time .. normally i get the curry and beef bacon and cheese pie . best pies in Brisbane in my opinion .
That pie looks amazing. Rich, thick gravy. There is a brand sold exclusively through Woolies called National Pies, the fillings are very good(not amazing) but the pastry on their pies ans sausage rolls in sublime. Thick gravy, greatt pastry, happy punters. Most good pies in Melbourne go for about $6-$6.50.

If you're ever in Victoria, go to the Country Bakery in Terang. They have some of the best pies and pasties I've ever eaten

Pies need minimal gravy, it's about the fillings providing their moisture, if they aren't overcooked.

One place I found that did pies at least as good, if not better, was the Gordonvale bakery. But that was about a decade ago now, I'm unsure if they're the same today or not.

Yatala Pies are the experts in pie and its in the middle of nowhere so the prices are middle of nowhere whats there not to like about Yatala pies better the the pie face Servo next door. That pie would have the Unami taste. Thx for giving us hope that Yatala is must stop
