- This past October we were fortunate enough to visit the Shaolin Temple. During our trip we were able to connect with the students of Shaolin and engage in a private exchange of performances. Through this, we were able to observe the parallels between dance and martial arts. This video is the result of the inspiration that we received through our exchange and also serves as a canvas that documents our experience.
This was a 2 day project.

So much fun being a part of this. Thanks to all those who see this for its art. At the end of the day, we're not trying to be the cleanest dance crew. I can honestly say that we were all genuinely blown away by the talent and lifestyle of these students. The dancing was just the icing on the cake. So much inspiration cycled through all of us, and that's what we wanted to share with the rest of the world. Each one, teach one was the main purpose of this video. And I, myself, was so inspired by this whole exchange. We don't do it for the publicity...we do it for the passion. & Nothing will ever change that.

I am a dancer as well as am learning karate....there is a lot of similarities between the two..like timing, concentration, balance.

Bam martin Omg, I was just at that the shaolin temple last summer for a martial arts summer program and I learned from those same students that you featured in the end and I saw my own teacher in that crowd! It's amazing that you got to connect with them and show them a different kind of body movement. I got really nostalgic watching this and am glad that my friends at the shaolin temple got to meet you guys from Kinjaz! ^_^

As a guy that practices Chinese kung fu, it is too dope to see you guys have appreciation for the martial arts.
It's one thing to be great dancers. It's another thing to go beyond that to show others the connection between different art forms. Once again, great video and concept, Kinjaz and to everyone else who was a part of this.
i love seeing every member of kinjaz has his/her own kind of dance style
Shaolin Temple, Tagou wushu school, established by Master Liu Bao Shan in 1978, the school has well over 50 thousand students in total, heavy duty Sanda training, weapons training, shaolin boxing training, it is all powered in that school. Gotta go and vist Henan someday.
Jonathan Shih, I just watched 2:12 minutes of not-choreo without being bored or even noticing. You're a genius.
This is art and this is what dancing is all about. Thank you guys for showing this to the world and I hope you will inspire a lot more people

I came back 6 years later...this is my first video of watching the Kinjaz back in 2015. At this time I was sitting in a hospital room with my brother while he recovered from neck surgery and while prepping for joining the Air Force. Needless to say I successfully join and served my 4 years and my brother is all recovered from the surgery. This video helped me get through a trying time in life. Thank you Kinjaz. #KinjaBang.

When I was watching this, I didn't realise how bad I've been waiting for something new like this to be done. It was refreshing to watch something different and very cultural based. I loved every second of it. Definitely an inspiration too. #KINJAZ

I love this. I studied the arts as a young man and I've seen many different styles in the kinjas dances . I love that they can take the Marshal arts as a dance of power and force and transfer over to the arts of dancing as a flow of style and personal expression .

Wow, that was amazing..... I love the fact you guys brought a traditional technique into this. I take taekwondo and we learn our traditional forms and that last scene really was amazing. Im blown away, any once can dance, do flips, splits and etc, but you guys brought something new that everyone needs to see.
